It was early morning, and though normally she'd have gone out to explore, the weather was awful. Dreadful. It was pouring cats and dogs outside, with dark grey clouds hovering over the grounds, lightning flashing bright in the sky, and thunder rumbling loudly. So instead she'd tugged on a white skirt and matching sweater, grabbed her crafts kit, and made her way to the library.
Once there she made a beeline for an empty table directly across from the librarian's counter, positioning herself so she could watch as people came and went. Lowering the volume on her ever-present iPod, she opened the medium sized box that served as her crafts keeper. Pulling out scissors, parchment, and a color pencils, she hummed softly as she began to work..
Coloring in the simple drawings of a girl and a boy, she began cutting out their shapes. Shoving back a blond lock, she reached for her wand, which was laying inside the box. Tapping each drawing in turn, she murmured a few words, smiling as the drawings took on cartoon-like features. Another tap and they were moving on their own, like two dimensional puppets without strings.
This way and that way, they shimmied across the table. Front flips, back flips, cartwheels, and roundoffs. Over and again they did tricks, perfectly excuted, showing off and trying to best the other. It was enough to pull a chuckle from her lips. She didn't know why, but for some reason she just found their little show very funny.
Pressing her hand to her mouth, she kept herself from laughing too much. Picking up the pencil again, she began drawing again, more girls and boys to go with the original two. All of them resembled people she'd met since arriving at MH, but the caricature versions. Looking up every so often to watch the paper dolls do their tricks, she drew Carmen, Xavier, and others.

"...I look at her in that paper dress,
I wonder why she won't burn,
She's just a paper doll,
That's all, just a paper doll...
...I dress her up she knocks me down,
I dress her up she knocks me down.
Try her on for a size,
She fits nice,
One size fits all, one size fits all..."
