She went to the library. It was closed this time of night, but she didn't care. She needed to see her books. She needed to get lost in Treasure Island or The Chronicles of Narnia or Uncle Tom's Cabin. Any book, any book at all, would do. When she got there, she reached for the key she kept on her necklace, the one the librarian had given her out of trust, and let herself in.

Dovie smiled as she heard someone enter her own sanctuary. She'd gotten out of bed, navigated the marbled hallways, and made it to the library without a single person knowing. Now who else could be down here this time of night...? Dovie poked her black-haired head around a hidden corner and saw a girl enter, and she was holding the key... Dovie's emerald eyes widened, seeing, for the first time, something she considered a treasure worth more than all the world's gold. "Wow..." she whispered to herself before quickly clamping her small, olive-toned hand over her mouth and squirming back into her sitting position on a stained-glass windowsill. Hn...so who is this girl...?

Madden looked around as she entered. The smell of the place comforted her, though not as much as it normally would have. There was something off, something that she couldn't put her finger on. She spun around, searching, trying to figure out what it was...lights were off, it was cleaned, the desks were set up right...what was it? She started off down the main aisle. about halfway toward the center of the library she stopped. What was that sound? She frowned and turned her head left. Nothing. Turning her head right, she saw the stained glass window she often sat across from just so she could see it every time she looked up. Then she saw what was off. She was not alone. Madden must have jumped six inches, it surprised her so much. That's why she couldn't figure out what it was. There was usually no one else in the library, and there was never anyone left after hours. While her heart and breath scrambled to return to a normal speed, Madden's hand flew to her collarbone. "Oh! You scared the Hell out of me."

Dovie's mouth drifted into a swift smirk, and a slight chuckle escaped her ruby lips before she could stop it. "I'm very sorry. Do please excuse me, I didn't think anyone else would be brave enough to venture into this dusthole this time of night..." Dovie smiled as she thunked a book, sending a billowing cloud of gray sparkles into the midnight air. She softly slid from her perch and landed without a sound on the old wooden floors, her moccassins muting her movements. Dovie's long black braid fell over the left shoulder of her tanned buckskin as she moved forward on Eagle's wings and extended a warm hand to the young woman standing in front of her. She honestly didn't think anyone else was here... But... Wow, she really must be new Dovie thought to herself as she introduced herself. "My name is Dove..." like from the heavens above, sent down with love, blah, blah, blah, and everything else brother used to say... Her tanned hand reached forward as her green eyes sparkled for a response.
