Teagan quietly set a belt upon her hips, and over her soft pants. Various pouches and compartments were sturdily laid upon the dark material as she quickly fastened it into place. The black velvet pants below comfortably fitted her waist, and calmly moved around her slender hips. Her long gray sleeves carefully swayed over her arms, hiding the flesh beneath. Black shoes that she normally wore were already in place.
A bush silently moved through her silky hair before it soon found itself back on her bed stand, and her long hair was delicately, but firmly, moved into a bun atop her head. Teagan forced the bundle along with her bangs under a black beanie holding old memories of its first use.
She had returned to the "scene" of the so-called "crime," and skillfully grabbed a hair that had gone unnoticed by her earlier visit, and by the others. She had been embarrassed by her foolishness and decided to keep her hair out of the way for her intended other trips. Though, of course, this had been a few years ago and her skills were better and more adapt now from experience. Fortunately or unfortunately, she hadn't thieved for quite a while; she was at Magic Horizons, now, and no where near her family.
A few flaming strands tenderly drifted out of under the warm cloth, and she silently left her dorm room. Teagan had everything she needed already. After a few seconds, her healthy form could be found peacefully waiting in the shadows by the Ravenclaw common room's exit.
Now only if her friend would arrive, they could begin their search. The fourteen year old's lush lips remained tightly sealed as the time patiently ran itself through the complex corridors, and into the dark and silent rooms. She leaned her slender figure against the shadowed wall, and her arms became deftly entwined around each other as they crossed. Her elegant nails crossed over the cloth and her pale fingers calmly held the clothing under their tips. The shirt was soft, sincerly clinged, and danced around her tender skin. It was her usual type of clothing, but it was still very easing to the mind and soul. She quietly relaxed.
A few more seconds ticked by in the endless night.

Star sat in her usual place on the window sill looking at the sky. It was a clear and cold night, unlike the day earlier which had been hot and muggy. It made her feel much more aware of what was going on as the breeze cooled her face.
Taking a quick glance at her watch she noticed the time. 'I should get going,' she thought and jumped from the sill walking over to her trunk. Changing into black jeans she put a black sweatshirt.
Rummaging along her small bedside table she took off of it a dark blue ribbon and tied her hair back in a neat ponytail before swinging her hood over her head, sweeping her bangs back into it and making sure her long blond hair was concealed in the hood and would stay there she grasped her wand from her desk and slid it into her back pocket.
Hoping she wasn't late she walked silently out of the girls dormitory and closed the door lightly behind her. Descending the stairs she entered the common room. It was barely lit.
Spotting Teagan by the entrance she walked over to her friend with a small smile and a slight wave of greeting. "Hey," she spoke her voice a low whisper. She listened for a moment. No sounds of anybody following them down the stairs could be heard. This was good, "Well I suppose we should be off then?" she asked not sure of what to do next. "Should we use the invisibility charm now or wait to use it until we get to the library?" she asked a second question, linking it to her previous one.

A few seconds of wait delicately sifted through the sands of time in its never ending essence, but Teagan's ears quickly intoned their senses as something gently rubbed against the carpet near the vicinity she had recently returned from. Soon after, a small homo sapien's shadow was erected and quietly stepped down the old, curving steps before finally reaching the bottom.
Teagan patiently observed the figure. It was Starlit, but Teagan hadn't tensed even before she knew it was her accomplice. Just another person was all it was. Starlit's choice of clothing wouldn't allow ample movement for delicate situations, nor would it allow her to know slight changes in the cool air around her or feel something become closer to her than it should probably have been.
They were fortunate that it was cold in most areas during the night; the two allies could remain covered, and not get too hot. And unfortunately for them, the common rooms were often much warmer than the halls.
Starlit had also decided to keep her out of the way as it was apparently hidden under a something similar of Teagan's beanie. Where Starlit was dressed in all black and appeared to be obviously up to something, Teagan was in mostly black: the exception was the gray shirt whose smooth cloth delicately licked, bunched, and stretched over Teagan's form. Though, they still looked as if extreme rule breaking was about to happen, something of truth.
"Hey," whispered the newer arrival. There was a moment of pause before she continued. "Well, I suppose we should be off then? Should we use the invisibility charm now or wait to use it until we get to the library?"
A few seconds more drifted through the air as no more sound waves vibrated through the calm atmosphere.
Eventually, Teagan answered in a clear, soft whisper that manage to actually be much more quieter than her normal tone. "Now, now," she patiently began, "there are many more charms of use than the Invisibility Charm; that spell was the only one necessary that I didn't know how to use.
"I'm going to borrow your shoes," she lightly stated and did not await the answer nor expression on her friend's features. Teagan's knees easily bent, and she laid her weight upon their bent structure. She unhesitatingly slid out her wand in the process, and words left her lips in mere breaths of air with a few s sounds making themselves known to those beings a foot away at most. She wasn't bothering to allow Starlit to here or understand. "Silencio." She tapped Starlit's left shoe. Teagan said the incantation once more, and tapped the brethren of the former charmed object. Then of course, was the fact that Starlit was wearing jeans. Teagan impatiently hissed the charm once more, and tapped them before doing the same to Starlit's sweater. Throughout the time consuming spells, Teagan knees straightened and she moved upward. After the latest charm, she went into her full height.
Her posture fixed itself, and the sanguine orbs that surrounded her shadowed pupils met Starlit's gaze and silently awaited her reaction.

ooc- I am very apologetic. I have not rped yet and most likely won't for at least another day or two minimum. I have been busy with the start of highschool, and now that it is the weekend I am tired and sore from PE and horseback riding. Anyhow I will try to reply as soon as I can.

ooc- Wow I said that like a week ago
BIC- Starlit nodded as Teagan said to wait to use the invisibility charm. She seemed to know far more about it then Star who had only snuck out once or twice, and it really wasn't that hard when you lived in a rather unseemly large house with your grandmother. Starlit inwardly cringed at the thought, she didn't exactly like that part of it.
Snapping out of her thought when Teagan asked to borrow her shoe she nodded, "Er... okay". A quizzical expression crossed the Ravenclaws ivory toned face. She started to bend down to untie the lace on her faded grey sneaker when she saw Teagan already at ground level, tapping the multi-purpose footwear with her wand and speaking the silencing spell before casting the 'Silenco' charm on the rest of her attire.
"Okay well then," she said fiddling with the zipper on the sweatshirt, considering the possible punishments one could receive for breaking the rule they were about to shatter, Two rules really, she thought as students weren't allowed out of their common rooms past a certain hour, one that had past a while ago.
Taking a few steps towards the dark entrance she hesitated, outside in the hallway of the west wing corridor was an open space, and it was a ways to the library. Star quickly erased previous look and placed her usual calmly gentle expression on her face before continuing to the exit leaving any concerns inside her, to be let out later, after the sneaking thing was over and done with, "Huh well there isn't much for it now," she said and walked into the short passageway before the knights armor that guarded their common room.
All this for a purple book, but a rather strange one at that.

"Okay. Well, then," said Starlit with some nervousness hidden within her voice. Her delicate fingers noiselessly fumbled with her sweater's zipper, and she seemed to be in serious thought. After a few moments of this, Starlit headed toward the exit of their common room. Apparently, she was very deep in thought. It seemed that she had forgotten that she was visible at the moment, except for her darker clothes. Originally, they had intended to become invisible before sneaking off.
Then, Starlit quickly calmed herself. "Huh. Well, there isn't much for it now," she quietly mumbled and stepped into the corridor.
An interested smile curled onto Teagan's soft lips. Silly Starlit, said a voice with a mocking tone in her desolate thoughts. She dismally shook her head, and for once no locks of hair swayed around her with the movement. Dressing this way got rid of many distractions, but now was the time for action.
Teagan had already charmed herself in the ways she had also charmed Starlit, but a little more was needed. Silently, she moved over by a mirror in the common room, and performed the spell she had most recently learned: the Invisibility Charm. "Occaeco." She firmly tapped her head, and strings of magic swirled and tangled all around and throughout her slender figure. Next, she very carefully observed her appearance in the mirror. Teagan was completely invisible, and her wand was for the fact that she had also directed the enchantment through there.
Now, there remained one more charm to preform. This charm was rather of a secret though her family line, and, even though she wasn't allowed to go into their libraries, Teagan had used some of her family's spell books to learn new things. This charm was also one, but somewhat odd and slightly complex. Luckily, it had been preformed several times before.... on different nightly trips and visits. She whispered the incantation, and patiently tapped her pale forehead. Teagan's invisible eyes suddenly changed the way the worked, and how her brain interpreted their messages. Her vision had begun to clear, and everything in the dark was as clear and bright as it would have been in daylight, though it was also tinted with some green. For the library, Teagan had had no intention of reading with a light; it would attract unwanted visitors, and be quite obvious.
Now was the time to catch up to Starlit. Teagan deftly stepped into the expansive hall, and ran behind her friend. Because of the Silence Charm, no sound was made. She was careful enough not to create a sudden rush of air and effect the air currents, so finding her would be much more difficult than finding a normal person. Silently, Teagan laid her unseen palm on her friends shoulder, and quietly asked a question. Her voice was softer than normal, but in a whisper loud enough so that her ally could hear. "You don't have to come."

Starlit was already into the hallway when she realized that she had not thought to make herself invisible. Sighing at her stupidity she pulled out her wand, some days she wondered why in the world she had been placed into Ravenclaw, being as absent minded as she was. Silently she slid her wand from her back pocket and was raising it up to cast the spell when she felt something touch her shoulder, she nearly started, but soon realized it was only Teagan and relaxed.
Speaking in a low whisper she spoke, "It's okay," a smiled flashed across her delicately shaped face for a moment before disappearing again. "Truthfully I don't think I will be able to stay still until the mystery of mystery of the book is figured out." Star had taken to calling the whole situating the 'Mystery of the Book' as she could think of nothing else to call it.
Now placing the and to her forearm she said the spell, still whispering, "Occaeco." Slowly Starlit faded from sight, starting from her head, the invisible force quickly worked it's way to the soles of her sneakers. The energy drained from her was far less then when she had first cast the spell only a day ago.
She walked down the hall, unheard, and unseen against the wall to prevent bumping into anybody. The walk there was for the most part uneventful. The few torches that illuminated the hall gave it a warm, yet haunting glow, it reflected off of everything that was solid, leaving black shadows, distorted copies of the real thing.
Soon the library doors could be seen. Looking back and forth she watched for Teagan, who she was pretty sure was either about to arrive or already was there. There were complications to being invisible.

OOC: To think that you apologized for being late! I'm so sorry for being about two weeks late... IC: Starlit quietly pulled out her wand, but was interrupted before being able to preform a spell. Teagan's gentle touch on shoulder made her pause immediately. After Teagan whispered a few words, realization poked at Starlit and she calmed down.
"It's okay," whispered Starlit with an innocent grin. "Truthfully I don't think I will be able to stay still until the mystery of mystery of the book is figured out."
Teagan was a little surprised. The mystery of the mystery of the book?... Now, that's an interesting title for it. The soft lips on her face gently curved into a smile.
Next, Starlit hissed the incantation for the Invisibility Charm. This time, it was preformed correctly, and the ravenclaw quickly matched Teagan's "color." She had most certainly gotten better since yesterday, the day they had researched a few interesting charms.
Teagan was able to see and define her ally's figure because of one of the many charms she had casted on herself. Starlit was going to keep her normal vision, as this charm caused a few issues. They consisted of the inability to see most colors, and that wouldn't be too good on this little journey of theirs. The charm had altered her eyes' function and allowed her to trace motions, color or no color, and they let her tell darker colors from lighter ones; with this, she could read a book without any light.
Now, they finally reached the doors of the library. So far, their trip had been easy going, as expected, and they didn't meet with any people who might discover them. Two senses that could be used for detection were out, unless they were heard talking.
Starlit remained unable to see Teagan, so that was another issue that needed to be fixed. She chose to use a simple solution, though rather unused. Instead of grabbing Starlit's hand, Teagan grabbed one of her friend's index fingers instead. This allowed greater mobility if they needed to separate or something, and they would know where each other was--at least while they were in contact.
Teagan ran her fingers over the door handle and noted that it was locked, but that wasn't a surprise. She had kept her want out, and now quietly hissed, "Alohomora." She opened the door and stepped through into the expansive library. Teagan guessed that some light spread in through the windows, and a lot of the corridors of books remained in shadows; she couldn't see any shadows or light with the Lucubratio Charm in effect, but she hoped Starlit would be able to function well in these conditions.

ooc- It's okay... sheesh I just read over my last post and yikes did I make a lot of spelling mistakes.
BIC- Feeling a grip on her index finger Starlit followed the pull. She heard a whispered spell and the door swung open.
The library looked far more different at night then in the day. Beams of soft moonlight shot across the floor. Letting her eyes adjust to the darkness the student paused and stood perfectly still for a moment. The silence could nearly be heard while the school slept.
Starting to move Starlit walked easily through the aisles. Navigating through the huge room was not much of a challenge for Star, even in the dark since she had walked them many, many times on search of something to read.
As they got further back into the library the well used books began to look shabbier and shabbier as all the new books were kept more around the front. Finally she stepped up to a dark, roped off set of bookshelves. Ducking under the rope, and making her way along she turned her head from the left to the right.
Pulling to the side she ran her free index finger down the spines of books. Squinting to read them she found one that said, Enemies and How to Torture Them in red block letters. After reading a few more choice titles she soon found out exactly why students weren't allowed in here.
Stopping at one swamp green book with no writing on the binding she pulled it from the shelf, stifling coughs as she inhaled dust. Nothing determining the title was there either. Opening it, she looked at the writing which was red. Transfixed by the swirling pattern, she let her eyes wander around the page. Then from the crease where two pages meet came a red liquid which began to cover the writing.
Closing it quickly before anything else could happen and returning it to the original place on the shelf Star whispered the spell, "Scourgify." The drips that had fallen onto the floor disappeared. I really hope that wasn't real blood, she thought disgusted.

OOC: If I ever take this long to reply in a thread, yell at me and pm me the link. Mostly this was because my muse left. IC: After Teagan had opened the door, Starlit paused as the colorless room of the library. Teagan wasn't able to see colors at the moment, but Starlit's ability to do so would be very helpful in their little task. Soon, Starlit soundlessly walked through the isles. Teagan's charming had proved she most certainly had much practice with this.
The comrades continued to walk through the book-lined corridors, and even the younger student could tell the more worn books were at the end even without color. A few of the covers were scorn, scratched, torn, and tarnished.
Finally, the Ravenclaws reached their destination.
Teagan let go of her friend as they began their forbidden research. With aid of the Night Vision Charm, everything was quite clear to her. Hopefully, Starlit wouldn't have needed to use to much light in this dark. Was it even dark? The younger girl couldn't tell.
As Starlit's figure walked over to one shelf and began to search through books, Teagan listened to the silence grouped all around them. It appeared that they were alone. Now, the Ravenclaw beater glanced at quite a few books. Most of them held extremely grotesque titles insinuating something the twosome weren't very concerned with or interrested in at the moment.
Hair was cushioned against her skull in odd fashion, as it had been quite a while since she'd really done much of this. Yet, the girl calmly ignored the different sensation, and continued to peer at the several books among the pained shelves.
The book that Teagan had taken to the library with her had almost been too much of a nuisance. If you hit the book, it uncompassionately got revenge. Not to mention, being able to just unlock it was quite the chore. Teagan had spent a long time trying to figure out how to open it, and had done so, but it was still rather complex. Also, the book stubbornly didn't reveal much writing. The writing it occasionally reveal wasn't very helpful, and had a tendency to be more than rude enough. Thus, they were at the library. Out of her pure-blood family's heirlooms and prized possessions, this ancient book was one of their more enchanted items and one of the most troublesome for Teagan to "borrow without permission."
After a few minutes, her eyes set upon a book titled Dark Wizards over the centuries. Surprisingly, the novel was rather thick. Perhaps there had been several weak "bad" wizards or the carved book held much detailed information on a few rather dangerous ones? Either way, this publication most likely had a chance to involve charmed books more than most of the other selections.
Soft fingers draped over its label's hard cover, and gently pulled it from the nest of other rather undesired books. Teagan opened it, and sifted through the pages to the index. After causing silence for so long, the gentle rustle of paper was the first noise she caused by her.
Inside, the index was found and involved several chapters, generally with many sections. It seemed that it was rather a detailed biography of people than of piteous witches and wizard who just tortured others by annoyance. Eventually, Teagan found "Monolayre" in chapter six. Joy, she thought sarcastically. The less known members of her family grouped together in an entire chapter? Then, of course, there were a couple more chapters on a few other select members of her family, although they were long dead. A smirk came to quiet lips as the Ravenclaw realized a few names not in those sections. It seemed that the author knew better than to write of living dark wizards and witches.
Oh, well. It wasn't much of a bother to her. After all, the name she had searched was there. "Chapter Nine: Doneele Monolayre." Quickly, Teagan turned to page three hundred ninety-one. As the Ravenclaw dutifully read the black and white pages, she learned more than a few things about her possible ancestor. Actually, the two were related, but Doneele was definitely not directly related to her as an ancestor; the book stated that she didn't have any children and didn't marry, but that could always be wrong. After all the information Teagan read, and some charming from Starlit and her unpleasant searches, it turned out that Doneele was quite an interesting person, but had disappeared mysteriously. Well, that was very helpful, she thought sarcastically to herself. Doneele's chapter was pretty open, and not as broad or covering as most.
The female turned back to the first chapter about her family, chapter six. There was nothing too appeasing there, except for some writing on their "special traits." Teagan supposed the author didn't want to write too much about it because there were several Monolayres in existence who would more than likely go into some "business" involving his death if he wrote too much. They were lucky that his book was in the restricted section, and, as Teagan read his one paragraph biography of himself, she noted that he was still alive. There was no picture of him, nor was there any of living relatives of her's or of Doneele. That was a pretty entertaining thought.
After carefully reading through selected pages once more, it was obvious that the book would even be harder to simply read than to open. All in all, Doneele's book was just a pain in the as--Teagan suddenly paused at miniature sentence on one of the several pages.
Finally, something less boring had occurred in the text.
...It is said that Doneele Monolayre wrote a book, but there is no evidence suggesting so. Even more rumors have come around suggesting that she stated something about it only being used by, "...some of her choice," years before her disappearance. Of course, such a discovery had not been made.
Doneele...
"Some of her choice"? Well, the book's rumors were true, so what did this mean? After reading about Doneele, is seemed as if she was definitely not one of the less intelligent members of their undesireable family. It was possible to read and open her book, but very difficult and tricky. The book would probably also stay in existance due to its defense mechanism.

Star continued to let her eyes wander the books, this time being more careful about which volumes she chose to open. With a sigh she got to the end of the aisle.
Stopping at the small gothic style window she leaned her elbow against it, knowing she really should be researching, but she could help but spare a moment to look up at the clear, silver dotted sky, it was a still night, and the small squeaks of shelves surrounding them made it seem all the quieter.
Turning fully around she started double checking the ebony shelf she had just looked at, this time moving slower; checking it far more thoroughly this time. Her careful footsteps turned from their straight path though when out of the corner of her eye Star spotted Teagan reading a book and heard the words "Some of her choice."
"Did you find something?" she asked, quietly, as if somebody was sleeping who she didn't want to wake up. She always felt like that when she was sneaking around though, even if there was nobody for miles, or in this case within hearing distance.
Observing the thick book in Teagans hands curiously she waited to hear if it contained anything that could be useful to them. She hoped it was, she was getting more and more determined to find out what was in the book, even if it didn't technically involve her.

Teagan quietly touched the end of her slender index finger on the page, and the the tip of her hard nail pressed against the paper's grayish color. Tenderly, the smooth substance gently indented into a little dome. The finger sweetly drifted down the page to where it met her delicate thumb, and turned the paper.
Why were there so many unused books patiently waiting, their information slowly suffering unnatural death, in the great library of the school? How many books lied unused there? Most of the novels were probably slightly read at least once throughout their existence, but what of the removed others? Some books, the prohibited ones, were probably never read or learned from. Quite a few of them had very many reasons why, but some of them probably shouldn't be there, as they had little learning purpose. A quaint example would be a book describing several ways of torture; not that anyone would desire to read its words, but what was the point of having books in the library that were not allowed to be used?
Starlit, Teagan's sincere companion and other Ravenclaw, silently wandered over to a lovely designed window of the famous Gothic architecture. The red-haired one continued to scan through lines, looking for any slight hint. Starlit's thoughts wondered into the night, though it was colorless for Teagan, and she soon looked through the books once more.
After a few minutes, the Ravenclaw chaser glanced at what her partner held. "Did you find something?" The little voice inaudibly echoed through the near-empty room.
Now, was that a silly question to ask? After all, Teagan was reading, and searching. If she had found something, why would she still be looking? The asked words were quite pointless; did Starlit not expect her ally to state whether something was found? After all,.. maybe Teagan wouldn't. Still nothing remarkable was in the elder lettering. Little findings had occurred.
"Not yet, Star," calmly replied Teagan. The paper had little taste of entertainment, no proof of life. Where is the written explanation? Who are "those of her choice"? Why does the old, scraggly book hold so many secrets? Why did the others keep such care with this time-consuming novel I borrowed without consent from them? Several questions slithered into her ample thoughts, and weaved around her studying. Quite simply, who was chosen?
Quietly, an aggravated sigh slipped through Teagan's soft lips, and she continued to prod the torturous research and impetuous thoughts. Burning sensations stringed and clawed up through her spine, crowding into the anxious flood in her head. Stress was appearing; unfed sources energy and intentions were being stopped up and gorged into her tender pinkish brain. Her muscles were uncomfortably and unwillingly stiffening, making her sensations undesired and lacking pleasantry. Her nerves were tingling with frustration. Do these books serve no purpose? Can't these assist in any plausible way? Do they serve no one, not even themselves? Her heart beat was faster than normal in her body; could the teenager not manipulate her way through the textured fabric she had curiously jumped into?
Suddenly, Teagan realized the little information was plucking at her far too much, and she would lose control from anxiety if nothing were to happen. Slowly, oxygen entered and filled her lungs. The girl closed her oddly-colored eyes as the comforting sensation formed and flooded throughout her arteries, into her small veins, and slipped through her miniscule capillaries. She relaxed, and her body calmed. Then, she allowed her mind to clear, and the pain to ebb away. Pain... had the stress caused her mark to widen? The sign from her last escapade which ended with the book in her posession?
Now, fully relaxed, solid red-violet irises looked down at the pages once more. In her full calm, her eyes weren't speckled, or only of simple red or violet; she was at ease. Passively, Teagan turned the pages once more to her other relatives, to the last page of their combined chapter. If a large bunch of secretive information was shown, surely the writer would have been in dearest trouble. Now, only those with keen eyes and plucking memories would notice if little specks of truth if only a few words snuck into the vast number of pages. So, perhaps, the author had indeed known more than what wrote about Doneele; maybe there were hidden secrets among the other fluent sections.
The student calmly placed some words from the text into her mind, and flipped to a some other pages. After doing so, the found answer remained fragmented; perhaps the editer had put in a rather helpful and, possibly, revealing index? Teagan calmly moved the plentiful pages so she could see the back section of the book, and made a slightly quicker examination. Ah. So they have actually been foolish enough to do this...
