Pinching the bridge of her nose and closing her eyes again, Sylph sighed and nodded. Teagan was right, perhaps this wasn't the best place to be talking about this. It was just the Sylph was so, well, confused. The memory charm had affected her concentration, making her feel fuzzy and strange. But then, if the walls of the castle, right outside the head's office, no less, weren't safe, then where was. Sylph had never been one for paranoia, and the castle of MH couldn't be bugged by any conventional means, but still, Teagan was probably right, being the coldly logical Ravenclaw that she seemed to be.
"Fine," she said tiredly. "But I need to know what went on, I''m too confused not too. If I can piece together even some of it I know I'll feel better. And then we can tell Claire something more concrete, as it were.
"And I know that what happened to Rose was a lot more powerful than what happened to us, but something about it seems, I don't know, linked, maybe, like it was the same person doing it." Sylph suddenly had a very strong conviction that it had been the same being that had erased their memories as the one that had erased Rose's, but she had no idea why. She shook the thought off, and frowned.
"Is there anywhere we can go? To talk, I mean," she asked the both of them.
OOC: oooh, art class, I remeber that from years ago! Hope you've caught up on all your work now, I should be doing mine right now, but well, y'know

OOC: YES, I'm finally caught up! Now, I just need to finish all of the regular homework... *looks at English notebook* It can wait. IC: It appeared Sylph had finally understood Teagan's actions, and was still feeling after-affects of the spell that was used. It was always this way with memory charms. Ark wasn't like this because it wasn't used on him. Teagan was actually kind of slow with her reactions, right now. It also took a while for her to get together everything she was going to say; her replies had been taking more time than usual.
Teagan's thoughts wandered around the castle trying to think of any private area. "We could go to a restroom somewhere....," she said slowly and quietly. The only problem with a restroom would be that someone might have to go during the night. "The prefects' bathroom?" Teagan didn't know where it was and hadn't been there before, but there weren't too many prefects who could walk in on them. The Gryphindor Prefect would know. The forest definitely won't work, she thought still thinking. "There's Hogsmade, too, but anyone can get there along with most other places. The empty classrooms are supposedly getting teachers soon..." She sighed. This was going to be difficult. Just finding a place to talk was hard!
Teagan remembered images. She nearly spoke before her mind reminded her not to. "Well, any ideas?"

Sylph smiled for the first time at Teagan. It seemed that the two of them had finally come to a silent agreement not to get on at each other any more, and Sylph was happy with that arrangement.
At the red-haired girl's suggestions, Sylph positively beamed. Good Teagan... she thought, before stopping, puzzled. She had thought those words before, but when? Sylph frowned and thought hard. But since you're only worried about trespassers, you won't mind helping us get him out of there, will you?
The voice floating into Sylph's memory was Teagan's, but there was no sign of the girl; Sylph could see an area of the forest, close to the edge, but nobody could be seen there. Why would that be? Still, for now Sylph held her tongue, as Teagan had suggested, and turned to Hayzie.
"The prefect's bathroom would be a good idea, but isn't there a password?" Sylph asked thoughtfully. "Would you be willing to tell us it? Or should we just find an empty classroom or something? Not many people will be hanging around the classrooms at this time of night."

The Prefect's Bath would have been a good idea, had it not been suggested aloud. What Taegan was saying was true. Anyone could be listening. But as far as her Lycan senses were telling her, there was no one around apart from patrolling Prefects, and even they were a while away.
Shaking her head slightly, the blonde said: "Don't worry. We're fine here, as far as I can tell."
It was probably better for them to stay close to the Head's Quarters, anyway. It was protected so that no one could listen in on conversations, or feel presences, so maybe it was best to stay here, after all.
The other two had put across their story, but how was she supposed to tell her own side? The blonde girl decided to wait and see what was said about her suggestion of staying where they were before narrating her tale.

OOC: I was gonna let Teagan reply first, but, well, patience was never a virtue I held in high regard ;D Also, if I'm delayed again, put it down to the revision, there was a piece of coursework that I'd completely forgotten about until yesterday too! Oopsie... At least it's not due til tomorrow!
IC: Sylph turned her head on one side as she looked at Hayzie, almost as if listening. A inquisitive frown crossed her features, but there was no real question in her mind. Teagan was right; they should make sure that nobody was there listening, but if Hayzie said there was no-one there then Sylph, for one, was going to take her word for it. Who better than a lycan to pick up on such things? Hayzie's senses were far better than her - or Teagan's - own, who were they to question it? Besides, Sylph felt that the door to Claire's office, albeit shut, offered some form of protection against unfriendly ears.
Righting her head, causing an audible crunching sound from her neck vertebrae, Sylph nodded. If Teagan didn't like it, then Sylph would listen to Hayzie's explainations alone.
"Hayzie's word is good enough for me," she said fairly firmly, wondering if Teagan would now give in and tell her what on Earth had happened out in the forest.

OOC: ALL homework is done! It's the post tests and finals that are the problem, now.
Teagan glanced toward the prefect--Hayzie--curiously. "How do you know who's here and who's not?" she questioned. Teagan didn't know that the girl was a lycan.
She was good at understanding truths and lies, and uncovering truths, but her head was too foggy. She couldn't think of how Hayzie would know such important things. Earlier, Hayzie had paused and felt for something, listened, or searched around somehow. That, Teagan was able to figure out. What the prefect did, and how she could be so confident about it was what Teagan didn't know. The question puzzled her. This girl seemed to be like most people at Magic Horizons: normal, except different. That's just the way everyone was there.
Yet, the prefect had something hidden. Teagan had easily sensed it inside of her. As far as she was concerned, it didn't matter. Teagan had sensed no threat when they met, or now. Sylph obviously knew what this was about the prefect, and had fully believed her. Well, it must be something, thought Teagan. Sylph had understood it as a fact, not a belief.

OOC: again, impatience!
IC: Sylph suppressed a growl in the back of her throat - one that, had she allowed it to escape, would have rivaled a lycan's snarl. Which, considering Teagan's question, might be considered by some to be ironic. Swallowing her urge, however, Sylph managed to speak normally, civilly, even. Quite a feat considering her current frustration and knack for loosing her temper.
"Does it really matter?" she said flatly, thinking that perhaps Hayzie might not like her lycan status to be revealed at this time, or to such an aggressive person. "Could you just trust the two of us on this one? And just tell us what you know? Anyone?!"
She gestured expansively at this last part, as if calling on the world and everyone in it to disclose the information that she so desired at this moment. She hated not knowing anything, and when it involved herself... well, that was just plain annoying.

OOC: I only use patience when I need it (not often). This new thing erased what I was writing, so this reply kind of sucks. º ^º, School got out June 2 for us. Muahahaha. Are you out, yet? Most of our schools got out a week before us. IC: Sylph was apparently about to blow. Teagan looked at her curiously. They were hiding something, but why? Hayzie has a secret, but I don't give a care. I'd still treat her the same, she thought to herself. There was no reason for them to be so stubborn."Does it really matter?" Sylph said flatly. "Could you just trust the two of us on this one? And just tell us what you know? Anyone?!" Teagan was silent. Sylph seemed frustrated--very frustrated. "You can't trust someone unless they trust you," she said softly and sincerely. Teagan quickly gained back her brutal demeanor after realizing that she had started to be kind. To balance things off, she added, "Either that, or you're just naive enough to believe what anyone tells you." After predicting that Sylph was probably going to freak out soon, Teagan answered her question.
"Ark walked into the forest, Makira saw him and started shouting his name like a maniac, we went into the forest, found an extremely large cat, and were tossed out of the forest in any given order," she said simply and quickly. If others heard, it wasn't really her problem anyway. This was exactly what Teagan remembered without specifics. She could guess that Sylph and her had gone over to Makira to see what was wrong, they walked into the forest after Ark, and a freaky talking cat somehow used magic on them. Or the cat could've done something else to get them out. Things with teeth that big can be very persuasive, she pondered.

OOC: you're out already?! Gah! Gah I say! My last exam isn't til tuesday! Curse you all!! Just kidding... I'm just sick to the back teeth of fisheries... which, incidentally, has nothing whatsoever to do with fish. Which is actually bloody annoying... if it was I'd be fine! As it is I'm revising my brain out trying to comprehend politics and economics - difficult for a biologist. So, if this post sucks, you'll know why.
IC: A very big cat?! Sylph frowned in mild surprise. Only mild, mind you. Sylph was almost past big surprises tonight. Nothing seemed real any more, as, and such, her view on the world had become slightly skewed, as if accepting the madness that seemed to be happening in front of her, even if she couldn't actually see it properly.
Turning over what Teagan had said, though ignoring her first comments that seemed intent on simply riling her further, Sylph thought she could probably piece together what had happened roughly, enough to know why she couldn't remember herself, at any rate. Ark had gone in, followed by Makira, herself and Teagan, probably trying to stop him, only to get expelled from the woods by a very large cat. That was the only part that didn't make sense. Then Aidana must've followed later on, and met Ark and whoever else had been in the forest. There had been a battle there, Sylph had heard it, or part of it. But over what? The creatures of the forest didn't battle like that, they attacked or they didn't, and if the three of them had been expelled without even a scratch beforehand, someone - or something - must have been in an awful rush to get rid of them. But not in such a hurry to forget to wipe our memories, Sylph thought grimly. What didn't they want us to remember? Ark had come out wrong, that was for certain. What had happened to him out there? Sylph really would have to talk to Aidana about that. Soon. She got the feeling that there wasn't much time...
She turned to Hayzie, an inquiring look fixed on her face. A very large cat? she thought to the lycan girl, her mental tone mildly perplexed. Know anything about that one, perchance?

A very large cat. So, Devani had struck again. Nodding to Sylph's mental question, Hayzie looked almost despairing. Devani was one opponent she hadn't been able to defeat by wit alone. She had only escaped thanks to Hikalyn distracting her. Leaning back against the wall of the tower, the headache that had been prickling in her mind came forward quite quickly. But recent information had told the blonde that Devani was not the ringleader of it. Rather someone named Danawi. "Oh yes. I know a little about that one," Hayzie whispered, sliding down the wall and towards the ground. "We've.... met before." ooc: Sorry, sorry, sorry! Things have been hectic, and at the moment, I feel like I'm sleep posting.. so ignore the awfulness EDIT: I got out on May 27th, but still have 3 exams to go back for.. ><

OOC: Back for? Now, that really stinks. IC: Teagan watch Sylph's confusion with pleasure, but she didn't smile. Teagan's emotions remained well hidden as they decided what was going on.
Sylph looked to Hayzie, and Hayzie nodded. Are they really close friends? Teagan asked herself. Either that or they could speak to each other in their minds. I've done that before."Oh yes. I know a little about that one," Hayzie whispered, sliding down the wall and toward the ground. "We've.... met before." Yes? So they can speak to each other like that. What "one" is this? My story? No, she wouldn't be so upset if she'd heard it before. We all know about Makira, Ark, Sylph, and me, so is she talking about the demon cat thing? Hayzie's headache appeared to come back at full force and she seemed even more worried than before. Then, the cat was the one who erased our memories, and threw us out of the forest! That's one tough kitty...
As Teagan saw Hayzie slide down the wall, she had an urge to ask if she was okay; it wasn't going to happen. She appeared terrorized. "So who is it?" asked Teagan in her quiet voice. "Your acquaintance?"
