Twas' the hour during midnight, and all through the school, not a soul wandered the halls, except the average ghoul....and a very stealthy demon.
Isaac moved rapidly along the hallway, his enchanted boots making no sound upon the stone floor as he raced along. Indeed, Isaac had cast so many stealth and intrusion spells that he half-expected himself to start glowing at any second. He rounded a corner, and, spotting the arched door which signified the Entrance to the Headmistress' tower at the end of the hallway, quickened his pace. Just a few more seconds....
Isaac abruptly stopped and hugged the wall as a ghost floated through the wall not even ten feet ahead of him, surely patrolling the corridor while the Headmistress' slumbered. An essential part of Isaac's repertoire of spells this evening included a DisIllusionment Charm, which made him into a chameleon. As long as the ghost didnt look too closely....
The ghost obeyed Isaac's silent pleading and disappeared through the far wall of the corridor, though the demon waited for nearly a full five minutes before moving. Whispering a quick spell that would enable him to see where other nearby spells were, Isaac blinked at the sheer number of alarm spells cast upon and around the door. Stepping closer, he stepped over a string of cans stretched across the corridor set up by some simple-minded, but no less gallant, first year.
Isaac stopped just before where the field of spells began, and with fingers clasped about his cane/wand, began muttering a long, intricate incantation. He remained absolutely motionless for several moments, before waving the head of his cane in a full circle, then pressing in the center of said 'circle'. As a result, all spells within Isaac's spells range became nullified...including his Disillusionment Charm. The black clad boy 'appeared' as he silently unlatched the door and slipped inside.
Flying up the stairs silently, Isaac landed in a gentle crouch outside the door to the Headmistress' bedroom, reaching in unhurried, practiced motions to the loops on his belt. Like many of the doors in the school, there was a gap of almost an inch between the bottom of the door and the floor, a gap Isaac fully planned to exploit. Removing a pair of glass vials, each about the size of his index finger, Isaac loosened the corks and flicked them underneath the door. The glass vials spun and skittered across the stone floor, one striking a post of the bed, the other striking the leg of the armoire.
The corks popped open, the potent sleeping gas inside gushing out. Between the two vials, they would incapacitate everyone in the room within a couple minutes. Isaac waited patiently outside the door, keeping his gaze fixed firmly upon his pocketwatch. Danawi's orders had been clear: Get in, get Rose, get out. And Isaac did not relish attempting a kidnapping while a fully functioning Headmistress could kill him with a single curse, hence, the sleeping gas.
