OOC: This class is for 6th and 7th year students only. Anyone who feels that their younger character should be in this class can feel free to PM me for permission. Keep in mind that no students can be in both this and the regular Charms classes with Professor Divine.
BIC: A door covered in pink spun-sugar creaked open, revealing a classroom made entirely out of candy. The sight brought a broad grin to the face of the curly-haired professor, who then stepped fully into the room. She'd offered to take Professor Billyboro's old room, the one she and Hayzie had transformed into a rainforest, but apparently the monkeys had been rounded up and relocated and the herbology professor had become enamored with the plantlife so the room was to remain as it was.
This room, however, was on her list of favorite pranks. Well, along with the little farmyard in the Prefect's bathroom, the rainforest, turning the school literally upside down, and...oh lord...the prank wars. Even the memory of seeing Chris in that little red dress, and those heels...Addie's eyes filled with tears as she began giggling uncontrollably.
Those pranks were the reason she was here now. Her creativity was useful during her previous post in the Experimental Charms Department under Athena, but there were too many bad memories there, and Addie hadn't been happy. She'd frequently tutored classmates and helped with homework while at school, and it had been enjoyable for her to see everyone she helped progress in their various levels. Hayzie in particular was a prime example.
So, the woman had sent an owl to the Headmistresses, and here she was. She glanced around the classroom, torn between the temptation to leave it as it was, or to finally take the everlasting charm off and restore it to its former state. An idea struck her, and she grinned to herself again before striding over and taking a seat atop a large blue marshmallow.

Persephone had decided to take advanced Charms. She was a sixth year, the youngest year allowed take the class. Of course, there was always a chance that a talented student from a younger year would appear in the class. She wondered who those students might be, if at all. Still, she was excited about attending this class.
The small Ravenclaw Prefect had woke early for her. Her emerald eyes were groggy, but she'd have to get used to getting up "early" now. Of course, early for her wasn't really early for the rest of the world. But she knew that if she wanted to attend this class, she'd have to make "sacrifices" like this.
Persephone strode out of her common room. Her long silver blonde hair was pulled back into a tight french braid. It was amazingto see her hair pulled back at all, and even more so to see that she could do the braid's herself. Her twin had even been shocked to see Sephe's hair pulled back.
The five foot Prefect walked slowly, her bag slung over her shoulder. Her books were in there, but the pack had been enchanted to lighten the load. Her small body was stronger than it looked, but now she could handle the books without falling over.
When she reached the door to the charms room, she smiled. It was all...candy! Candy as far as the eye could see, and Persephone stared in amazement. Immeadiately she wondered what Teagan would say. Hre fellow Prefect had said that drinking coffee was bad for Sephe, and that was the reason why she was so short. What would she say if she could see this room.
As she walked in, she saw her Professor sitting on a large Marshmellow. She smiled happily at her. Her teacher seemed to be cheery and in a good mood, which was good. Persephone didn't like the idea of having a sour teacher.
"Hello Professor!" She said smiling, as she turned to take as seat on a gumdrop "desk". Her small body almost slid off it, and she let out a silver laugh. This was going to be a fun class!

Kaiki stared at his reflection, making sure his robes were on just right. He was starting in advanced charms, so he wanted to look his best. Not that his best was that great, as his robes were far to big for his slim figure with the height of 3' 10". The lady who had sold him the robes had insisted that he would grow into them.
Yeah, right Kaiki thought vaguely as he rolled up the sleeves. Unfortunately, he had not had the time to fix the robes properly so he would just have to deal with ill-fitting for a while longer. With his robes fixed just right, Kaiki quickly combed his deep green hair and then grabbed his bag and left the commonroom.
As he was walking in the corridors, Kaiki's bright green eyes noticed a blonde girl walking in front of him. He vaguely recognized her as the Ravenclaw prefect. She was in the same year and house as Kaiki.
Just a few steps behind the blonde, Kaiki stepped into the charms "room". Not that it was really a room, but rather a candyland.
Kaiki thought he was going to be sick. With great effort, he managed to keep his usual marmoreal face as he chose a free desk (made of gumdrops, of all things). The boy couldn't help being worried about what this class would be like...

Ariadne was nervous. Well, she was beyond nervous now, and she was going into that stage of denial where you tell yourself everything's going to be ok. She'd been there, in that stage, for a bout a half hour. That was how long it took for her to dress and pull back the light strawberry locks of hair.
Her hazel eyes were full of worry. She'd never been the best at charms, though she had always done well. She'd gotten average marks, and she she'd exceeded expectations quite often. But she still wasn't certain if she could handle the Advanced Charms class. She'd taken it though because she knew she'd regret it if she didn't.
She closed her eyes to reassure herself again that it would all be ok. She had seen Sephe at breakfast, and talked to her. At least they would be in class together, and the two of them could help each other out...at least she hoped it would work that way.
When she walked down the corridors, she saw no one, and she wondered if she would be late. Upon checking the time on her watch, she realized she'd be a few minutes early. She relaxed and slung her pack over her shoulder again. She really needed to learn what Sephe did to her bag to keep it so light.
Then Ariadne stood before the "door" to the Charms room. It didn't really look like a door, and when she reached out a hand to touch it, she felt the sugar rub off on her finger tips. Perplexed, she entered the room. Everything was made out of candy. She didn't know exactly what to do.
After looking around she saw her twin, and headed over to sit by her in a desk made of gumdrops. She gave Persephone a weak smile, and she wondered if her nerves showed on her face. She could only hope that she didn't look like she was about to throw up.

Sirese had decided to take the Advanced Charms class. He had been talented in the field of charms and was one of the best in his old school and he wanted to see what he could do in this school. He had arrived not long before Christmas and the Christmas ball. That was where he had met up with Hayzie Roberts but that was something else altogether and he had loved the charm work involved in that.
As he neared the door he was confused and stopped as he reached it. It was pink and clearly made of candy. He had heard of this prank, though he had not heard of who had performed it rumors had said Hayzie and a friend but he had learned not to trust rumors that much. He slowly opened the door, the feeling that if he pushed to fast the door might break into pieces.
He saw the Professor was always in the class so was a few other students and he gave them a warm smile. "Hello Professor, Ladies" He greeted them all politely which he always did when he met new people. He gave the boy in the class a nod of greetings, he had no clue why but when he had greeted Hazier he had not greeted her in that manner.
He sat down at one of the desk, sitting on a marshmallow as the candy desk. He found it weird to be sitting on a marshmallow at a candy desk. He laugh inwardly at the picture that entered his mind, which looked goofy to say the least. He looked around till his eyes met with the prefect's eyes "Hello." He said to her and then nodded his head to the other girl who was clearly nervous. "Are you ok?" He ask her gently with a welcoming and warm smile.

Charms. Now this was one of few classes Hayzie Roberts actually did well in. So well, in fact, that Professor Naunet (how it was going to take her forever to get used to that) had accepted the blonde girl into her Advanced Charms class. Three of her old friends as Professors? It was too difficult to comprehend. So long as Laura didn't leave and take up Quidditch teaching as a profession, maybe she would just about stay sane.
Collecting her textbooks out of her trunk and turning to put them in the bag which dangled off one of the handles of her wheelchair, Hayz looked at the timetable and almost choked on a laugh. It was the candy room.
She would have been assigned that room.
Travelling down to the familiar route to the old Charms classroom which Professor Devine had vacated a few weeks before, Hayzie couldn't stop giggling to herself as though she had consumed a lot of the candy inside the room before coming down from the dormitories.
On entering the room, the smile shrank a little bit. The room was still the same, but going into the room grinning manically would not do. After all, the Professor (how strange) would only suspect something. Though the innocent smile wouldn't work either. So, the general early morning face would have to do. Yawning and rubbing her eyes as though she had just woken up, the blonde girl shot a small smile at her friend and wheeled her chair to a toffee desk at the back of the room.
Blowing a bubble of pink gum, innocent green eyes looked around the room as she took out her books, quill and parchment, finally placing her clasped hands on the desk and waiting for the lesson to begin.
The boy she had met at the dance was in the room, too, along with Ariadne out of her own house, Persephone, one of the Ravenclaw Prefects and another girl she didn't know. The lesson should turn out interesting, she hoped. Addie-Professor Naunet wouldn't let the lesson be boring if she knew her old friend well enough.

Ari watched as another guy entered the group. He looked confident, and she was briefly reminded of Daemon by him. Looking at the badge he wore, he was from Slytherin as well. That wasn't anything to judge by, but it was almost uncanny how much he acted, so far, like Daemon.
When he sat, he said hello to her twin. Then he turned and asked her if she was ok. She didn't know exactly what to say. She didn't feel very good, but that was nerves. If given some time to relax, she'd be fine.
"I think so... My name's Ariadne by the way. What's yours?"

"Well I just do not want you getting ill in class, it would be rather messy." He said adding the light natured end. He loved meeting new people. "You know Ariadne you look alot like her." He said meaning of course the Ravenclaw Prefect Persephone "Your not sister's are you?" He said he had a good idea that they where indeed sisters but this was a easy way to talk.
He saw Hayzie come in and gave her a smile. He had enjoyed their dance together on the night of the Christmas Ball. Though he wondered if there was still after effects of losing the ability to walk again. He toke out his wand and muttered the words "Turpis Silens" A small silvery snake like creates slithered out of his wand followed by another that quickly found it's way over to Hayzie, slithering it's way up to her shoulder and to her ear. This would allow them to communicate without bothering others or getting into trouble.

Persephone had watched the other boy, the one who had joined them after Kaiki enter. He seemed kinda cold, but she was certain that he wasn't. He had a certain look in his eyes that said he enjoyed playing pranks and telling jokes as much as anyone else in the class.
He said hello to her, and then turned to ask Ari if she was ok. Seph was certain that her twin would be...after she got some time to just relax. Ariadne was a good student, she just tended to get a little too nervous about things.
When Sirese asked if the two were related, small Prefect smiled. It would be interesting having the two girls in the same class, and they way the class was filling it, it seemed to be made of trouble makers and pranksters. Even Ari had a good sense of humor.
"Yep, were twins!" Persephone smiled widely. Her emerald eyes were filled with laughter and light.

Post by Marina Roeswood on Jan 2, 2006 19:37:39 GMT
That same air of confidence had not faded from the Slytherin Prefect as she strode deliberately into the confines of the Advanced Charms classroom. Now a 6th year, she was old enough to qualify for the class that was taught by an old fellow student of hers, one that the girl clearly remembered to be magnificently adept at charms. Memories of the pranks of Misses Naunet and Roberts had not yet faded from the memories of fellow classmates. Even Marina Roeswood, who in recent days had begun to view everything with mild to complete disinterest, even found herself smirking when she found herself within a familiar classroom, one that was composed of sweets.
However, she carefully masked her interest as she took deliberate strides to her typical front row center desk, placing her meticulously stacked books down upon the surface of her desk and sitting with great care upon her marshmallow chair, careful to not ruffle her robe. By the time she was settled, not even the slightest trace of a smile was left on her face, and she folded her hands in her lap, her emerald eyes staring blankly ahead, her legs folded slightly out to the side in a very rehearsed pose that suggested a confidence in what she was doing as well as a respect for her superiors. Of course, little of what was implied by the gestures and expressions of the Prefect could be taken at face value. The girl nowadays was prone to phases in which her behavioral patterns fluctuated and she formed odd quirks. At the moment, Nina was choosing to be rather robotic.
Setting out quills and ink, she arranged her things in perfect geometry and pattern. After she was content with that, she glanced about to see who else was in the class, though made a point of not speaking to any of them. Instead, she looked up at the teacher and smiled warmly, as though anxious, like she once would have been, for the class to begin.

Post by Carmen on Jan 3, 2006 4:02:33 GMT
This was the first day that the girl had chosen to wear her winter skirt. Pulling up her black socks that swallowed her legs up to her knees, the girl smiled. The skirt wasn't short, thankfully, and went to just above her socks, leaving little skin showing. A trait the girl absolutely loved to have was not to show much of herself. By now the girl had her cloak with her Hufflepuff emblem and Prefect badge (which she shined almost to scathing point) tightly wrapped around her to keep the cold from biting, and was striding through the halls to get to class.
A new class, which she has chosen to take instead of Professor Divine's class, because of its 'higher standard bar'. Advanced Charms with Professor Naunet, which was rumoured to have been a student at the very same school she was teaching at now not so long ago. But of course, having only joined a year ago, the new Hufflepuff Prefect had no idea who the woman was at all. And judging by the way the classroom was transformed as she pushed the sugary door open, they would get along perfectly well, just as Professor Ace had favoured the Hufflepuffs.
Being a sixth year this year since late last year, the girl was clearly quite happy enough to take up the new class, which looked to be a blast to learn. There were only a few students in there by the time Carmen walked through the door (after inspecting each little sugary particle 'in' the room), and all by the look of them were the same age if not older as her. But only two students she recognised, and one she had only met twice before. Persephone was a student she had met a few times, once in Hogsmeade, and Hayzie worked at the Ministry with Carmen.
The blue-haired girl (whose locks were tied up in a loose loop at the back of her head) made up the fourth prefect in the room, and the last one from each house. Hayzie was from Gryffindor, Sephe from Ravenclaw, and a brunette girl from Slytherin of whom she had yet to meet. After sliding a smile Sephe's and Hayz's way, Carmy's feet led her to a table in the middle of the room, of which she put her muggle biro, text book and parchment onto. And there she was, settled a new class, on a red and white jelly toadstool, with a characteristic smile on her dial.
