“What’s that supposed to mean?” Aylen asked, feigning hurt. “I mean, a few potions have blown up on me, but that happens to everybody...” Realizing that he had forgotten all of his textbooks in his rush to the classrooms, he sighed resignedly, reaching for Sylph’s textbook. Craning his neck to read the page, he managed to read the first few sentences.
Jumping visibly when Sylph’s wand let off a loud bang, Aylen relaxed when he realized the product was only a few harmless streamers. A wide grin spread across his face as he imagined himself jumping out at the first years and shooting streamers at them. It was an amusing thought, but the prefects already had him marked. Looking nervously over at the Ravenclaw prefect, he quickly banished the thought. However, the mischievous redhead still had plenty of ideas.
“Well, so that’s how it goes, eh?” Pulling back his sleeves, Aylen made a quick jabbing motion with his wand. “SKIN-till-air ef-FUN-deh-ree,” he said, pronouncing each syllable loudly and carefully. A great bang that was even louder than his companion’s emitted from his wand. The air filled with bright red and gold streamers and sparkles stuck everywhere. No doubt several students would be leaving the class with glitter stubbornly clinging to their clothes. Perhaps he was slightly too enthusiastic. Grinning perversely at the Slytherin students nearby, Aylen asked them, “Hey, you two deaf yet? Or do I need to try again?”

"Try it again and I'll curse you into tomorrow," she said smartly, looking back at the boy. "And so maybe you can actually learn something today, the name is Krista," she snapped, leaning back in her chair and flashing a smirk at the boy.
'Quite cute.' she commented to herself. 'For a Gryffindor preppy boy.'
"I don't want to lose my hearing because you can't get a spell right, so try it like this," she replied yet again, and showed off the spell, although she knew the boy was all too capable of learning the spell on his own.

"I'll share that offer with you, Krista." Galanor replied, grinning. "I've always wanted to try this new jynx I learned from Father..." She didn't dare raise her wand due to the prefect nearby, as well as the teacher. Watch it, Gala... she thought.
"But you seem to be pretty cocky.. I'll rip out your eyes and feed them to Nihra, my adder, if you mess with me too much. Try that one."

"Keep it down," Krista hissed. She smirked nonetheless, she was liking Gala more and more by the second. Typical Slytherin, she said.
Krista was thankful for the non existing Charms homework. "Do you think he'll assign homework?" she asked Gala, who was still glaring at the Grynffindor boy.

"I'm aware of the problems here.." Galanor said quietly. "But they--" She gestured to the teacher and prefect--"Know I'm just... fooling around." She smirked and glanced at the boy who'd smarted off, then back to staring at the wall. "And I'm not sure... This is my first time in this class."

"Fair enough," she said, and turned back to the Gryffindor boy. "What's wrong eith you, lion got your tongue?" she said and sniggered into her hand.
She couldn't wait for Charms to be over, so she could go and relax in her common room.

Merry stood frozen while this when on, growing more and more wrathful as it progressed.
"No one," she began, "has made fun of my name since it became obvious I wasn't a boy around my fourteenth birthday." She frownded menacingly at Miss DiGloria. "And if I see any hint of anyone hurting anyone in this class I'll assure you I'll take more than Points!" she added to Miss Rosewind. "Besides you ought to take better care of a pet that eats live things. Even if you tricked it into eating an eye I'm sure it wouldn't appreciate it. As for you," she turned to Mr. Hawkins and took a breath to calm her nerves.
"Dear, I believe your putting to much into it if it makes any noise but a mild 'pop'. Do try to be careful. They have a point, you know. It's better to be polite and think of others hearing than to be annoying for the sake of it." She then turned once more to the two Slytherin girls. "Anymore name calling and I'll have to write your parents or guardians about sending you back to finishing school. Anyone of your status should have at least a passing grade from one."
With that she when back to her desk and tried her hardest to keep her emotions in hand. How DARE she call her He! It was hard from Merry not to be reminded of the nasty boys of her old school days who told her Merry was a boys name, and that she must be weird for sleeping in the girls dorm.

"My my," said Ashlle. She stood in the doorway of the classroom and shook her head. "I do believe you've made the nicest teacher in the school cry. You ought to be ashamed! Now she won't be nice to us anymore. I can't believe you'd jeopardies something like that just to be mean." She said it very nonchalantly as if she didn't care all that much, except that she liked the easy class. She also had an air about her, as if she thought her own finishing school must be better than theirs.
Taking a seat near Aylen, she looked at the board and frowned confused. She quickly got out her book for more information on this strange spell. Her frown soon turned to a worried look. Ashlle G. Rainier was never happy. She couldn't remember the last time she'd been joyful. She wasn't exactly sure why she wasn't ever happy. It wasn't like she pined for her dead family or anything. She just . . . "Aylen," she whispered, "How does one feel 'Happy'."

The Loud bangs had him wincing and he rolled his eyes lightly at the fun after it. The Slytherins seemed to like to cause trouble causing him to roll his eyes and laugh at their private antics. He looked down at his wand and was ready to place a silencing charm on the next one to cause a loud bang like they all had before.
The Professor's outburst caused him to star wide eyed at her for a few seconds. He knew better then to throw his two cents into that mix, he was not a potion master but he knew angry Professor and a student saying the wrong thing equaled detention and points reduction.
He looked at the Slytherin girl who said something about a snake "You have a pet adder?" He ask quietly not wanting to bring the wrath of the Professor down on him. "Aren't they deadly though I mean you would have to be a parsletongue to avoid being bitten wouldn't you?" He ask her again the other girl Krista seemed to think what her friend Galanor has said was amusing. "My name's Aether by the way formerly from Slytherin in Salem's School for Witchcraft and Wizardry now a Gryffindor."

((OOC- Professor that was a typo, my bad...))
"See? He can hear you," Krista said, even quieter.
"By the way, Professor, I'm not sure the Headmistress would like it if she knew you were threatening me," Krista said in a fake sweet voice. "It was only a mistake, anywho. I meant she," she corrected, and gave Professor Divine a big, heart grin.

Grinning sheepishly at his professor, the redhead shrugged. “Sorry, Professor Divine. It was only my first time doing it, after all. I’m sure I’ll get it right next time.” Then again, his wand never had worked quite right since he had landed on it while falling off his broom during Quidditch. Shaking his head, Aylen sighed. Last time he had problems in this class, it was also caused by Quidditch practice. What to do? Watching as the professor walked back to her desk, he noted that she seemed upset. The redhead sighed again. Slytherins. When something was ruined, it was always the Slytherins. Responding to their glares with a cheeky smirk and a salute, the Gryffindor turned back to Sylph’s book.
Hearing a chair scrape nearby, he glanced up to see a fellow redhead join him. “Heya,” he greeted. Looking at her confusedly as she asked her question, his face screwed up in comical thought. “Erm, happy? You...just...er...” At a loss for words, Aylen scratched his head. Suddenly getting an idea, he swiped Ashlle’s book from her and quickly flipped to the index. Running his finger down the list, it stopped under the words Cheering Charms. Turning to the page, he showed it to the girl. “I’ve been wanting to try this out,” he said. “Want to give it a go?”

"I only said if he pushed me too far, Professor. Besides, I know Nahri wouldn't do it, and I wouldn't force her." Galanor grumbled. She really hadn't meant to anger the professor. She turned to the Gryffindor that had spoken.
"Well.." She started, "Yes, they are venomous... But I always keep a dose of the antidote to her toxin with me, in case I do get bitten... because to answer the second question... I'm not a Parselmouth. I've had the snake since she was an egg... so she's been used to me."

"Well I suppose thats good the antidote I mean that keeps people safe." He said simply thinking about the snake "I see how that goes a snake raised from hatching would feel safer around you rather then later in it's development." He about snake for a few moments before looking at the girl "It is a pleasure to meet you by the way." He said with a smile.
He looked back at the teacher then to them "Is it me or did they 'he' comment upset her horribly, remind me to not say he in this classroom without a good reason, she might jinx the next one who does." He said with a little laugh "Though that might be funny to see."

"Well," Krista leaned forward, toward the boy, "it was an accident, to say 'he'. She just flipped out, a bit," she explained, and chuckled. "It wasn't intentional, just a mistake. Don't we all make them?" she asked as an after thought.
"Name's Krista, by the way," she said, finally introducing herself, to aGryffindor boy who seemed a bit more able with his spell work.

"Pleasure to meet you Krista" He said with a smile "I know ti was it was easy to hear it was a mistake but it is likely it struck a nerve." He said simply looking at the board again "Is it just me or are the other students trying to see who can make more of the class def then the others?" He rubbed his right ear "I have to agree with you." He said to Galanor "The next one who does it gets jinxed."
