The lycan seemed distracted to her. That was as much as Rezna's green eyes caught from his rapidly moving figure seconds before he released her from his grasp.
As she fell, the building sped by in slow motion, just as the man had done only a few moments before, as he grabbed at her throat and thrust her out the window. Now the past hardly mattered to Rezna, who's life seemed to be counting itself off in milliseconds.
Yet after falling for only a second or two, she felt her feet crash against some hard surface sending the rest of her body crumbling into one large heap. Falling on her back, the blond girl had no chance to brace her neck for impact. Her head swung backward with the momentum of her fall, causing a jolt of pain to vibrate through her head and body.
Darkness clouded her vision, but even through the numbness of her body, her chest rose as a cold breath of air flooded her burning lungs. While falling, breathing was of no importance to her, but now the urge was too great. And her first thought was that if she was breathing, than she was alive.
Suddenly, a crash sounded somewhere and than she felt she was being lifted into the air. Her heart seemed to stop during that second; the fear of falling again numbing her mind. But, that horrible thought was short lived as she was set down again, only this time back inside the building.
Turning her eyes as far right as they could go, Rezna caught a fleeting image of someone flying up from where she fell. This would have brought a smile to her face, had she the strength. At least someone was there to help the others. Rezna tried to move, but that was useless. Her senses were only just coming back to normal, or as far as normal now went.
Eyes finally focused, and seeing in color, Rezna tried to figure out how to call for help. There were so many in danger above her, so many needing aid. Breathing through her pain, Rezna hoped that no one else's life was in danger. She prayed that everyone else would be safe. Her strength finally failed her and unconsciousness took away her pain.

And the only thing she could think of was the rough impact as her body made contact with the hard floor, coupled by the image of Rezna falling, perhaps to her death. The pure force of the man falling on top of her knocked her senseless for a moment and rendered her slightly dizzy. Wincing slightly, she felt the back of her head and wasn't suprised to find a small bumb- but she was certain that it was nothing compared to the pain Rezna was in.
Taking a deep breath, she shook her head sharply a few times to try and clear her mind. The lycan man then moved over just a bit, permitting her to get up and make a mad dash over to the window. Glancing down, she expected to see just the shell of a limp body sprawled upon the grassy grounds. However, it seemed as though luck was on the Hufflepuff girl's side. The sill had been just enough to keep her from falling, but probably not to prevent her from grievous injury.
Growling with frustration, she turned around to face Fenris, face the man who had tried to kill a member of her own House. Her mind was begining to run out of ideas- it seemed as though nothing could kill him, that nothing could even so much as frighten him off. So what was she to do? Rezna would die down there. And then she had a sudden burst of inspiration.
Scrambling quickly, she grabbed a telescope and quickly unscrewed the eyepiece to withdraw a small, but sharp, piece of glass. She then promptly squeezed her eyes shut and slammed it right against the palm of her hand. It shattered, producing one sliver of glass that would serve her purpose perfectly. And now, for the final part of her plan....
The silver had all but disappeared into the floor, though some still remained from the broken vial that she had first held. Cautiously and being careful not to cut herself further, she dipped the piece of glass into the spilt silver and then waited... waited for him to become distracted. And she didn't have long to wait- the faerie that flew into the room and the hard words of another student served as her chance.
Sliding up behind him, she wrapped her arm around his neck once more and placed the silver coated glass right upon the vein. She could feel his neck pulsing right underneath her lithe fingers as she calculated the amount of force it would take to drive it right through his neck.
"Lesson number six." She continued, building upon his growing set of 'lessons'. "Never turn your back on an enemy. I'd advise you do as that faerie says and get out, before my finger slips..."

Cealla....Alissa....the pups....childern.....
Those thoughts kept racing about in Fenris' mind as he silently stood in the middle of the classroom after dropping the blond-haired girl out the window. That one human was right...they were just little girls; surely they wouldn't try to harm him. They had no reason to hurt him, but now....'No', thought Fenris, 'Now the have the reason to hurt me; now they will try to avenge their comrade.' And then one of the girl's questioned why did he serve someone; he was a lycan, so why shouldn't he be free?
They wouldn't understand why Fenris had joined with the Master in the first place, but one of the reasons was the law. In every wizarding law that the master had shown him; it seemed that the lycans were always sub-par compared to the humans. The humans were always making regulations, unfair that shamed the noble spirits of the lycans, and those filth desired to control the Wolf. But not now; the Master had promised him that if he did this task and finished it to the end that no more would the lycans be pawns in the Human's chess game; the Lycans would have their own board. That is what drove Fenrir into this madness; that promise alone filled him with vigor and the will to see it come to pass. And if the Master lied to Fenrir; there would be hell to pay.
But now another figure, a fairy or something by the wings on it's back, entered through the window that he had dropped the blond from and told him to leave the classroom. Those words had stirred up the war-like blood of Fenris Fenrir, all thoughts of pity and peace that had entered his mind were tossed into the black oblivion. With a bark of laughter, Fenris started walking toward the boy while saying, "And who are you to try and make me go, boy? Who are you to think...."
Then he felt the sharp press of glass against his neck. So, someone had taken the time to figure out one of the few ways to get him to stop; attacking the weakest part of all beings bodies; the neck. And the voice that was laced with hatred confirmed who Fenris had thought commited this action. "Clever girl", said Fenrir tightly as eyes black eyes tried to see the girl behind him, "5 points for quick thinking once more. It seems that you have passed the class. But now; now you went me to leave and do as this little runt of a fairy told me to? I think not but it seems that I have no choice in the matter; seeing how if I move a muscle; that means Fenris Fenrir is no more."
"But then what being in their right mind would even think of releasing me to go free; knowing that I would be back in the future; knowing that I would only cause more harm? But there is one thing that I do know girl; you can't kill me. You are in the position to kill me, that is true, but by killing me you only bring yourself to my level. There would probably be a medal awarded for your bravery in class for killing me and most likely some sort of celebration; but then it sets in; you killed someone in cold blood. What does that make you? Had I the chance to fight you and you killed me then and there; things would be different, but you would stoop to my level as you call it; you would kill someone when they couldn't defend themselves? Then it would seem that once I am dead; the Master would already have a new servant; you girl."
"So you will not kill me; that much I do know, but I wonder as to how I am to leave. Your not going to let me take a doggie bag are you?"

The faerie watched the lycan intently, wondering why he was attacking the school. There were several students who were also part wolf attending this very school, learning the ways of the wizard. Was he bent on worsening the reputation of the wolf-people? It was these types of occurrences that furthered the prejudice of muggles and wizards alike. Though he was a faerie, he, too, had felt the feelings of frustration and helplessness. He, too, had once sought revenge. However, this one seemed to be driven by something a little more complicated.
The lycan spoke, breaking into his thoughts. A small flicker of annoyance flashed on his face as he referred to him as only “boy”, but the moment quickly passed. “You know nothing of me,” he began to say, but he was interrupted by the Hufflepuff Prefect. She had taken advantage of the lycan’s distraction and held a small yet deadly shard to the lycanthrope’s neck. The faerie let out an audible sigh. It was rather difficult to hold a conversation with all of these disruptions.
He could feel the tension radiating from the girl and the lycan. The fear and anxiety that saturated this room was making the faerie slightly lightheaded. Fenris’s voice was somewhat tense, but his cocky words hid his nervousness well. “An eye for an eye is never the answer,” the faerie murmured.
“Please,” he said, his attention now directed at the girl. “I do imagine that it is rather awkward to converse with a piece of death at your throat. Would you be willing to let go of Mr. Fenrir for a few moments? Perhaps we can still settle this peacefully.”

Her hand began to shake a little as she held the glass there, forcing her to clutch it so tightly that it began to dig into her own skin. The silver was harmless to her, but certainly not harmless to him. Far from it. She had remembered how sick Sealla had been when she had been infected with it- it had nearly killed the lycaness. She had never before even had the chance to kill a being which she believed to be so evil as Fenris, but now she could watch him die simply by running the glass across his throat. And then he would no longer trouble these halls, no longer terrorize the younger students or dare to hurt the professors. It was such a sweet idea, just to kill him. She could do it, that much she knew.
However, his logic was something she couldn't deny. If she killed him, that would make her only be down on his level. And the retribution from the forest might be great, so that more lycans and other beasts tried to get revenge upon her. By killing him, she would likely only die by the hand of another who was trying to get revenege. And she didn't want a life like that- a life where she would constantly be needing to look behind her to see if there was a dagger raised.
She might be able to kill him... but at that moment, she decided that she wouldn't. It would be most unwise. While any other student might have already killed him without even allowing him to speak, she considered herself wise enough to at least give him a small chance. And now the time came for her to take action.
"I will not kill you." She mumbled, lowering her hand only slightly. "But there will be one condition. You must leave, and never come back. For if you do come back, I won't give you such a chance again. Then I will be certain that the only way you leave is in a body bag. Or perhaps I'll just have your carcass tossed for the dogs."
And now she fullly lowered the piece of glass, letting him go with a slight push forward. The fire in her eyes had lessened a bit as she grabbed her wand again and held it in one hand, with the glass in the other. She would be very suprised if he actually made the choice to go quietly, instead of trying to sink her teeth into her throat. Well... at least she could say that she had lived a good life and died a noble death.
"Go." She whispered, advancing on him a bit more. "I've got to get Rezna and the Professor to the Hospital Wing, now. So get out- for every second I let you live, it is another second they may die because of your actions. So go. Before I change my mind."

Her eyes got wide as she watched. Would he leave? She hoped so, she hadn't wanted to see anyone die, including the Lycan.

"Well; it has been a pleasure, but with the young lady and fairy wanting my presence gone; it seems that I must go.", said Fenris in a mocking tone as he walked toward the door and the demoness, "Don't cry for me little students; I will remember the fun time that we had together, and remember to read pages 237 through 261 and be able to tell me all the kings of ancient Tyre and their habits. That will be all class; class dismissed." With those words, Fenris stiffly walked so that he stood in the door frame, and with a nod to the demoness; he gave her leave to do whatever she so pleased.
He had accomplished his task and more. Not only did he have Professor Amy Stevens in his control but now he had taught those students a lesson that they wouldn't soon forget. That they are not impervious to death; death can come to them as easily as anyone and with the damage he had caused; Fenris felt certain that none of them would sleep well this night. Or for many nights in the future for that matter. Well; Fenris Fenrir had won the day in a sense; he did not wreck total destruction before he left, but he would not leave empty handed.
Once he walked out into the hallway, Fenris walked over to where he had left the professor crumbled on the floor. This was his trophy; this was his wereguild and he would treasure it as long as possible. Before his Master demanded that he turn over the Professor because she was too powerful a wizard to let loose. So Fenrir scooped up the unconcious professor over his shoulder and merrily struck up whistling with his eyes agleam with pleasure. He had no intention of not coming back; he would come back plenty of times before it came to an end. And if that girl tried to stand up to him again; there might not be silver the next time and that time would be the time that she would not get the jump on him. That time; he and his master would emerge with total victoryl and not the small ones that Fenrir had won.
The hour was growing later; soon all chaos would break loose and the power of the professors' would fail. All in good time. And with that; Fenris Fenrir left the school once more; this time with a token of his success.

She watched as he spoke his final words and then left, the shaking of her hand finally taking over as she dropped the glass shard and crumpled to her knees. The whole ordeal had left her so exhausted and afraid, now leaving her with all the emotions that she had held back. Just trying to be strong and put up an impressive front was hard for her, for inside she was quite honestly so scared. And this encounter had only scared her even more and made her fearful for the future, both her own and the future of the school.
After taking a few deep breaths, she realized what needed to be done. Rezna was hurt. She couldn't just sit there and be defeated by everything she had tried not to think of. So she slowly climbed to her feet once more and then cast a single glance at the faerie, wondering what part he had played in all of this. Her mind had been so focused on defeating her enemy that she had nearly forgotten that he was there, along with the fact that she didn't know how he had even entered the classroom.
"Where's Rezna?" She said with a sigh, looking around the room. She had been hoping that the faerie had brought her back up to the classroom, but it looked like that wasn't the case. Whatever had happened to the girl, Faye knew that she needed help and she needed it quickly.

Post by Teagan on Oct 2, 2005 2:10:52 GMT
OOC: NOOOOO! My really long post was deleted.... After the engaging scene had taken place, Teagan silently stood up from her seat. She quickly walked over to the door, and peered out into the desolate hall it lead to. "Minus one divination professor," she softly stated. The lycan was kidnapping their teacher, but trying to intervene wouldn't help them. Throughout all of the happenings in their class, she had paid attention to him. He had a goal in mind that he'd risk his life for, not to mention, the students probably wouldn't stand a chance against him. Her blood colored eyes gazed at the demoness intelligently before she carefully walked over to the other side of the room.
Teagan cupped her delicate hands together, and used them as a tunnel while whispering into Faerlain's ear. No one else would be able to hear what she said. "I'll take care of Rezna; you can trust me with that. Two students need to inform the headmistress, and two need to take watch over this room. By the way, be aware of the demoness." Whoever was given these tasks, Teagan left to the hufflepuff prefect. In her words, it had completely sounded as if Teagan would do her best in order to help their friend.
She un-cupped her gentle fingers, and returned to the next task at hand. The ravenclaw prefect carefully walked over to the window. In the process, she gave a noticeable tug on Xarian's sleeve, and pulled out her wand. Teagan looked over the sill and noticed that the window below their's had been shattered. Rezna had probably been moved inside that room.
Teagan adjusted her fingers, and beckoned Xarian over. The prefect sifted some of her red locks of hair out of her face, and flicked the wand. "Spongify." The sill below had a quick texture change, and the red haired girl quickly jumped through the window.
As her slender feet hit the softened substance, she lightly bounced a few inches, but did her best to absorb the mobile energy and not bounce too much. She steadied herself, and glanced into the shattered window upon Rezna's damaged body. All clear.
The ravenclaw prefect motioned Xarian from below to follow her. After doing so, she walked through the window frame, and quietly stepped beside the injured hufflepuff girl's body.

Even though she was loathe to admit it, Faye was tired. The encounter with the lycan had left her heart racing and her knees wobbly, though she still wanted to help Rezna she knew that that task would be better left to Teagan. She nodded as the girl whispered into her ear, knowing that it would also be best if a pair of students were sent to inform Claire incase they were attacked. It seemed like you could never be too careful lately. But, perhaps the faerie could come in handy here.
"Hey." She called to him, motioning for him to come over to her. "Could you.. please, I mean... go tell Claire? She has to know that this has happened." It would be perfectly fine for him to go alone, she assumed, since she was sure that he must have a good enough grip on magic to be able to at least defend himself. As for what she would do... she would have to stay here, and simply pray that the lycan didn't dare to return.
But.. the demoness? She had been so wrapped up in making sure the lycan left that she had hardly noticed that the creature was still there, as if biding her time. And after watching Teagan leap out the window to take Rezna to the Hospital Wing, she knew that she was on her own. This was the task that had been given to her, and she would accept it. There was nothing she could do but accept it, and fufill it.
"Class." She began, slowly making her way back over to the front of the room before slumping over into a chair. "Take out your wands and be ready. I don't think that was the last of it..." The thought of casting some kind of spell of protection did cross her mind, but she knew that the fight had tired her. Though she didn't want to admit it, she knew that she was likely too exhausted to protect the students any longer.
A wane smile crossed her face, the fleeting impression of doubt quickly flickering off her face as though it had never even been there.

The faerie carefully observed all that was going on around him as the lycan left. He was thankful that no other injuries had occurred, as he intended. A small thump was heard as the Hufflepuff Prefect slumped to her knees, the exhaustion overwhelming her. The faerie also felt the relief mixed with fear emanating from the girl, a bittersweet combination. A red haired girl spoke softly soon after. So he was after the professor.
A maelstrom of thoughts swirled in his mind. He kept speaking of a “master.” He definitely isn’t working on his own. Why is he following him? What does this “master” have planned for this school? “The girl of which you speak is in the room directly beneath this one,” he stated, though the redhead had already figured this out, it seemed. Always, he felt as if he was intruding upon a situation. The gold of a gilt lily, perhaps even a hindrance. His wings flicked in annoyance, but otherwise, none of his thoughts showed outwardly.
He grateful for a distraction when the girl on the floor spoke. He nodded once. "I will notify the headmistress. May the stars protect us all." With that, he exited through the same window he had entered in one fluid motion.

Persephone felt like passing out. She really wasn't certain why...she hadn't felt this way at the wedding... But then again there at least she had had the chance to run, to be out of danger, and know that the those very capable individuals were taking care of the problem. That they had told her to leave.
Persephone slumped to the floor, her long hair flowing over and around her face. From there everything went black. Her green eyes were large and empty, and then they closed. She had passed out...her body to tired to even stay awake.

Well, obviously she had come for no reason. The lycan seemed to handle everything fine on his own. The demoness had watched the scene unfold before her, not having the need to participate in ‘teaching’. She was particularly interested in the brave girl. She had thought quickly, and used a vial of silver, then tried to poison the lycan.
The demoness was also amused by the fact that the lycan seemed like he was going to break, and turn into a wimpy human. She glared slightly, how could he display weakness when they clearly had a job to do? It didn’t matter, he didn’t follow through with being downed by what the children were saying, instead he left with only a few injuries to the students.
Now he nodded to her, she offered him an icy smile back, now turning towards the kids. Her mid-back green and black hair swooped around her form, falling back in place to frame her face. So, now they were trying to make everything right. “You're lucky the lycan handled it,” she said, to no one in particular, “otherwise, the majority of you, would be dead.” She said, in a bittersweet tone.
She brought a gloved hand to her mouth, blowing a kiss to them all. Seconds after the gesture, the remaining students would feel a surge of cold air, and not just a –10 degrees, more like –100, or less. She didn’t put much thought into how chilled she wanted them to be. With that, she turned around, and closed the large oak door. Her heels clicked against the stone floor, making her exit soundly.
Xailyn walked out, and noticed the lycan was gone, her crimson eyes peered around a tad longer, and then she decided nothing else was to be done. The demoness walked towards the doors, and went to hide herself in the forest, only to wait for her next command.
