"No," Aurora said, out of breath, "No, that's quite alright, Professor. I'm just so klutzy sometimes, it's hilarious...Just a moment, I'll write the essay..."

"Well" said Merry unsure "as long as you're sure your alright Miss Black." she gave Miss Black a small smile. "And that essay would be most appreciated, seeing as class is almost over."
Merry went back to her desk and sat down, sighing. This had certainly been a lively class. She congratulated herself on the decision not to use regular Muggle basketballs for this lesson, the certainly would have hurt the students more. After having regained her Composure, she got up and made an announcement.
"Class will be ending shortly dears, so if you aren't done please try to concentrate just a bit more and I'm sure you'll be able to finish in time."

Aurora Black Gryffindor 5th Year 'An example of a good time to use a Summoning Charm, like Accio, would be when you need a book that is on the other side of the room. You can see which direction the book is coming from, so you won’t be caught be surprise, and you can see how heavy the book is, so you won’t be knocked off of you chair. Another example of a good time to use a Summoning Charm is when you need somrthing fast, and have no time to run and get it. An example of this would be summoning your broom if you were late for Quidditch practice. An example of a bad time to use Accio is if you’re summoning cutlery. It’s just a bad idea, and you can get hurt. Another example of a bad time to use Accio is when the object is very far away- Muggles might see it, and it might injure someone on the way to you.' Very nice work Miss Black. Your examples were clear and percice, I had no trouble telling where one ended and where the next began. Also it looks like your spellwork is getting better! Charm = 10 points, Essay = 10 points, Extra Credit = 4 points (two for every extra example) Just for good measure, Aurora decided to do the Summoning Charm again. “Accio Quaffle!” she said firmly, and another Quaffle flew to her hand. Good, she thought, and walked up to the teacher with her work.

Class will be ending shortly dears, so if you aren't done please try to concentrate just a bit more and I'm sure you'll be able to finish in time.
These words stirred Sylph from her reverie. She had thus far spent the class staring upwards at the ceiling, her eyes glazed over as if deep in some absorbing thought. Still, now she had to do some work. The violet-haired girl already knew how to perform the summoning charm, and had used it to great effect when she tried out for the Gryffindor quidditch team. She took out her wand - willow and dragon heart-string - and with a lazy flick and an "Accio", summoned a bright red quaffle into her outstretched hand.
Why a quaffle? she thought angrily to herself, glaring at the thing in her hand. Sylph was still peeved about Gryffindor's loss to a poor Ravenclaw team, and any reminder of quidditch over the past week had tended to make her bad tempered. She tossed the ball to one side, took up her quill, and began to write.
Sylph Morgan, Gryffindor.
Accio, the summoning charm, may be used to its best effect either when you have accidentally forgotten an item, or when you've misplaced something and are having trouble finding it, particularly as the charm can be used without specifying a direction or place. This spell may also be used if you need something and you're unable or unwilling to actually get up and retrieve it. It may also be used in the event that someone has taken or is hiding something which you require.
In some circumstances, it would be more appropriate to use an alternative spell to the Summoning Charm. For example, if the item you wish to gather is very specific, such as a particular book, using 'accio book' would very likely bring several books to you, which may cause a headache in more ways than one. In this case, it may be preferable to either specify the title of the book you would like summoned, or use an alternate spell. Delicate and breakable items should not be used in conjunction with the summoning charm; perhaps Wingardium Leviosa would be more suitable so you can control the flight path of the item. If the item in question were in another room and likely to smash, or were surrounded by other breakable items, you would also want to be more delicate in your work. Also, if the item you want is something which needs to be taken discretely, perhaps another spell would be more appropriate. Finally, the summoning charm should not be used when the object in question is located in an area with lots of muggles, as they are likely to panic when they see an object hurtling past their heads.
Wow, Miss Morgan you really are very good in this class. Excellent work and a Great Essay too. Charm = 10 points, Essay = 10 points, Extra Credit = 16 points
Sylph threw down her quill and sighed. At least it was finished - that meant she wouldn't have any homework, and that was never a bad thing. Leaning back in her chair she stretched for a moment before taking her wand and with an effortless 'Accio!' summoned her bag and began to pack up.

Brrrring! "Well, there's the bell people." said Merry cheerily "If you forgot to do your work just hand it in next class. Now hurry along to your next class and Oh, before I forget . . ." Merry swished her wand at let lose a plethora of streamers and glitter. "Happy Holidays!" she cried, and added "Next class we shall be learning that exact charm in order to celebrate Christmas and Yule (and any thing else you might wish to celebrate). Class dismissed!"
