"Alright class, today, as its the holiday period I am setting something fun for you to do." Professor Astoria walked down the aisles of desks and handed each student two pieces of paper.
"You will see I have handed you 2 pieces of parchment. One is a set of stars from a Summer sky, the other is from a Winter one." Facing the class she placed the remaining star maps on her desk.
"I would like you to be inventive and creative for this work. I want you to make your own constellations from the stars mapped. You can make whatever shapes you like. You don't have to use all the stars, but try to use them effectively."
"I will be giving marks for originality. I would also like to see you give names for as many as you can."
(OOC: Copy the diagrams from the textbook into Paint or something and draw on the lines. Then either post them in the thread youself or send them to me in an e-mail me at professor-astoria@hotmail.co.uk and I can post them into your post for you. Ask me if you have any questions.)
THIS IS AN EASY & FUN LESSON! EARN POINTS FOR YOUR HOUSE FOR PRACTICALLY NO WORK AT ALL!

Wilting Rose quickly placed some red ink she had been dying to use on the corner of her desk, and dipped her quill in it and paused, considering the stars that were laid before her. Choosing to do the Summer Sky one, she crudely drew a very poor, cartoon-looking duck/platypus thing, and then a goblet shape, a crown, and a shrimp. In her loose, untidy scrawl she wrote 'The Quacker', 'The Goblet', 'The Royal Constellation' and 'The Freshwater Stars'. Not entirely original, but it was the most inventive she was feeling today, what with Astrology being the first lesson she had attended so far at Magic Horizons. Shyly, she handed over her parchment and left the room, still feeling very insecure about what was to come. [glow=red,2,300]18/20 ~ A great effort Rose - I love the duck - I can say that it is definitely original! For the extra 2 marks I would like to see your second parchment if you have it...[/glow]

ooc: Just want to let you know how frustrating I have found this lesson! It was the first one I have ever tried to do...and I couldn't do it! I stared for ages at those stars...drew random lines..imagined every type of animal/object under the sun...but no luck!

(OOC: Draw anything - stars, umbrellas, buckets - just anything you like. Doesn't even have to look much like it. I just want some interesting looking constellations!
Sorry for those who have had problems - but this class is for easy points for your house so please give it a go!)

Luna sat down and looked at her work. This was her very first class and she wished they would all be like this. She looked once more, thought for a moment and started to draw. After a little while she looked up. [glow=cyan,2,300]"I think I'll leave it this way! This was fun!"[/glow] She smiled and handed in her work. ~Cute Lil' weird foxy~~mermaid, flower, bunny, instrument~[glow=red,2,300]20/20 ~ Fantastic! I think the fox is great and who would have thought of a Saxophone![/glow]

Darting into her pencil case for a blue pen after listening intently to the professor, she poked out her tongue unknowingly as a concentration method and began scribbling on the page, drawing random images that came to mind. She then scratched the names next to the constellations, with her name at the bottom. Slowly, she stood to her feet, and smiled to the other two girls as she walked past (one of which was on her way out) towards the professor’s desk. She then gingerly placed the paper on the desk, and made her way out of the class. [glow=red,2,300]20/20 ~ Very original ideas - I like the use of your muggle knowledge and original objects! Well done![/glow]

Wyl looked at the two pieces of paper and wondered what he could make of them. He fished his quill from his bag, and dipped it in his bottle of ink, then started to draw the constellations in. Once he had finished, he scrawled his name and house at the bottom of each piece, then handed them to the Professor, saluting her as he walked out of the class with a grin. 'The Quidditch Match''Potions'[glow=red,2,300]20/20 ~ Lots of great pictures - very good use of the page. I cannot condone the picture of a fellow Teacher, (thought I think it is fantabulous!)[/glow]

Daniela bit her lip nervously. She never was very good at that subject. She slowly pulled the two pieces of parchment closer to her and watched the star drawings. After a moment, she picked up her quill and started to draw. [glow=red,2,300]18/20 ~ I like the house and the playing field - very interesting! Lots of different pictures and some good use of colour too! Well done![/glow]

Faith sat near the back, contemplating what to make out of the stars whilst doodling on a spare piece of parchment. Looking at the stars once more, she began to doodle on there instead. Slowly things began to form, along with a smile that formed on her lips. It wasn’t often when she came to class, but, she had been bored, and had always loved astrology. Finally happy with what she had, she stood from her seat, walked to the front of the class, and handed her parchments in, “Hope you enjoy” She said, an all to sweet smile on her face. [glow=red,2,300]20/20 ~ Well done Faith! It was nice to see two parchments of animals! A good number of drawing and well drawn! (BTW - which house are you?) [/glow]

Tobias looked down at he papers and thought ' oh great i can not see anything' he noticed a few things that he marked down quickly but nothing big, heck he even noticed Constilations like Gemini and Orion which he marked down while blushing at his own stupidity. He had a killer head ach and that made nothing any better. He stood and handed the papers in turning deep red "Sorry i am not feeling to overly well this day." He walked back to his desk thinking only this ' i am a blasted fool'OOC: Please note that the long line from the end of the snake is not part of that it is the tail of the kite. [glow=red,2,300]20/20 ~ Good ideas - I much prefer the second parchment with the snake and kite etc. to the parodies. They are much more interesting! (BTW - which house are you in?)[/glow]

Kahlan almost threw herself over the parchments; she loved astrology and when you need to use your imagination! But after a while she got dizzy because all of the dots, this wasn’t so easy as she thought it would be. And she returned the assignments back to the professor slightly disappointed at herself. [glow=red,2,300]20/20 ~ These pictures are amazing! You must do some sort of art as a hobby! Full marks for your effort! I think thay are the best in class, so I am also going to award you another 10 points and close the class here. Well done! fantastic![/glow]
