Professor Romani's room was festooned according to this special time of the year. Though for some, it would be their last time in her classroom, and because of that, she conjured flower petals to shower about the room, wafting about in gentle spirals, dissappating after a few moments after hitting the ground. She removed some of the trees that she kept about the scenery to make it more open, as if showing them the pathway to their futures. She gave them several moments to ponder this and delight in the perfumed air and the shower of silky petals, before standing up with a large, yet sad smile.
"Everyone, I'm sad to say that this will be the last Transfiguration class of the year," She announced, then added quickly, "Unless you're one of those who'd like to take summer school, and if so, please see me after class." Romani walked towards the door, behind the evergreen and nodded her head towards it. "Follow me."
She took them out past the courtyard and towards the crest of the cliff. With her back to the ocean, she faced them all with a proud smile as the wind wipped her snowy hair and pale garments.
"All of you know the importance of keeping the wizarding world secret to the Muggle population. Today, we'll learn just how to do so." Her voice barely carried above the sound of the pounding turf and the wind whistling up the cliff. "Due to Hagrid's benevolence, he has allowed us the use of his hut." Romani swept her hand towards the forest on the other side of the castle, then inclined her head to gaze up at the magnificent height of the castle. "And due to Dumbledore's graciousness, he's allowed us to do what we will with the castle." She grinned brightly and folded her arms behind her back.
"Due to your surety and level of experience, we will transfigure the appearance of the buildings into inconscpicious features, ones that Muggles would not suspect. Do not worry about the persons or objects insides each building. I have already taken care of the spacial environments, and the insides will not be affected. All that will change is the outside.
"Now, if you are not sure how well you will do, you may begin on Hagrid's hut. In fact, we all will." Romani began striding towards the little hut and brought out her ivory like wand, explaining as she went. "One of the keys to this spell, is to keep your wand steady. Keep your wand balanced and trace a triangle in the air, being sure to sharply hit each point before tracing the next line. In your mind, picture what it is that you wish to facade the object to while saying it aloud after you say: celare. Like so."
The Professor turned back towards the castle and lifted her wand into the air, quickly snapping out a triangular shape. "Celare castellum en mound." Like a veil descending upon the castle, it disappeared and was replaced by a large mound, about a third of the height of the original structure. "You may subtitute contemporary words with Latin if you wish, but just be sure to hold your wand as I had told you and say celare clearly. If you are successful with Hagrid's hut, you may try the castle."
"Who's first?" Romani grinned and looked about at their faces.
