As Loren and Samantha quickly paced through the Entrance Hall, quietly conversing between themselves all the while, they opened the Great Hall's huge oak doors to find that it was filled to the brim with, what Loren would call, over-cheery, fake, holiday celebrating. "Why don't they just do this everyday and make it look less fake rather than just once every year? I mean, it really doesn't make sense to me..." He awaited a reply from Samantha, whose thoughts apparent upon her face, seemed to share the same feelings as Loren.

Her eyebrows furrowed as she looked around the enormous room. One she felt much better in when it wasn't filled with to many loud students. She took a hair bow off her wrist and pulled her white hair up into a bun. Her pale green eyes scanned the Ravenclaw table for an open spot.
"Well, you see they would get bored of it if they had to do it everyday, and complain. So, now they do it once a year and complain about all the days other then the ones surrounding holidays." She said grabbing his hand and moving over to sit down with some other Ravenclaws. It must have been the quietest table. She knew most of her friends from the house were very reserved and weren't ones to party.
Samantha looked at all of the other students shoving food into their mouths, gorging themselves. She looked at the rather disgusted, and drank a glass of water.
"Hm..." She said thoughtfully. "It's amazing that people need excuses to be happy these days. Christmas, and New Years, be happy. Birthdays, be happy. But, you don't see loads of just happy people around.." She said rather absently.
