Hayzie had woken early that morning to get down to the quidditch pitch before anyone else had. There was a reason behind this ridiculousness. She was going to be helping Lucian train for the next game against Slytherin, or so she thought it would be.
Pulling on some gloves and a scarf in the Gryffindor colours, the blonde girl tapped her foot and fiddled with her broom while she waited for Lucian to show up. Eventually, she got bored and ended up soaring up into the air alone, practising dives, and beginning to beat herself up about not getting the snitch again.
“I should have got it,” Hayz muttered through gritted teeth, beginning to fly around again.

Lucian strolled down to the pitch. He knew it was still early and he knew Hayzie was already there. He had seen her leave while he was getting ready to go. He had gotten a bite to eat from breakfeast and mounted his broom and slowly rose to her height "Ready to play little girl." he said. Lucian was a bit meaner on a broom but he could be playful, just don't touch the quaffle when he had it and you would not get knocked off your broom. He smiled wickedly at her for a moment as he thought of what to do.
Lucian got a idea and said "Ok Hayzie lets do laps around the pitch a few times then speed trails." He grinned and toke off full speed on his firebolt and began to do laps. he stopped twenty feet from hayzie and mubbled a spell on a peice of cloth that belonged to the gryffindors left over from the game. it began to change and turned into a timer and a best time keeper. Him and hayzie each had one. "Ok the slowest out of 20 laps buys the butterbeer." he said over his shoulder to hayzie.
He turned on his broom and stood up. He stayed stock still on the broom and smiled at her "come on them Hayz we going to train or sit around like old duffs?" he said his impresstion of a full british accent rather rather funny. He jumped up abit and landed on the broom with little discomfort and he turned the broom to her knowing he could go from this angle. "Lets go little hayzie we need to get into shape."

“Hold up!” Hayzie shouted at him, “Did I agree to this? I’m training you, and you’re telling ME what to do? I don’t think so mate-y,” she grinned, pulling up alongside him. “And I’m NOT a little girl.” With that, the blonde pulled her hair back. She knew she was shorter than average for her age, but she also knew that she was sixteen now, and not as little as she was when she had known Lucian before.
“But you’re suggestion sounds good. Apart from that I can guarantee I’m buying, because I’ve got a slower broom… as you saw on Saturday,” she scowled, mentally kicking herself yet again. But they were wasting time already. “Okay then. Twenty laps… Three… two…” Before she had reached one, the blonde girl had zoomed off, giving herself a head start.
After all, she DID have the slower broom.

Lucian gave her a few moments head start and then toke off after her. He caght her with little trouble but she had already gotten half way across the pitch. The nimbus was not a slow broom by any means just slower then the firebolt he had. He touched the back of her brrom for fun shaking her a little. He laughed and zoomed over head landed in front of her like a leap frog move. "Glad to see you can make it." he said with a smirk as he toke off again this time gaining feet at a time infront of her.

"Hey!! Cheater!!" Hayzie called after him, leaning forwards on her broom and willing it to go faster. However, willing simply wasn't enough against the firebolt, and she completed her sixteenth lap just as Lucian was finishing his twentieth.

"Kids at play," muttered Laura, a wry smile curling her lips, true amusement only hinted in her dark expression. She had refused to make the trek to the Quidditch Pitch ever since the shameful defeat that she had leaf Gryffindor to, in the last Quidditch match.
She ran fine boned fingers down the handle of her broom, ignoring Hayzie and the boy's antics many dozens of feet above her.
"Flying is all very well," she muttered, her eyes darkening as she returned her gaze to her air bound peers. "But you need more than a fast broom to win a Quidditch match."
Laura let go of her SuperNova, letting it sit in mid air as she strode over to where she dropped the case that contained the balls. She gave it a hard kick, and it sprang open to reveal the four balls, three of which currently held in place by tough leather straps.
The violence was of course unnecessary, but Laura wasn't happy. "Time to play," she muttered, giving the case a second kick which sent the pair of bludgers shooting out of their bonds and skywards, towards the two Gryffindors.

Hayzie was still chasing Lucian around the pitch when she heard a whooshing noise coming up fast behind her. An expletive left her mouth just in time for her to send her broom flying a little lower, the offending bludger just narrowly missing the blonde strands of loose hair.
Tying it back quickly, the Prefect was forced to move a little higher this time in order to miss another that was flying in her direction. Who the hell set those loose?! Hayz thought to herself, looking groundwards for but a second.
"Of course," the blonde muttered, going into a dive to meet her captain on the ground, leaving the two black balls and Lucian in the air, but grabbing a bat quickly out of the wooden box just in case one rocketed towards the ground and at the two girls.
"Didn't think I'd see you down here for a while," Hayie greeted her fellow Prefect, and captain, watching the bludgers wearily.

Lucian heard the whoosh of the bludger before he saw it. He barly missed it as he spun around , the ball coming within a inch or less of his nose. Lucian rose higher and higher, the one bludger zooming around below trying to find hayzie who had flown low to get a bat. He looked around for a way to meet Hayzie below them but he knew that if he lowered his broom he was going to be in a shooting gallery and him being the 100 point target.
Lucian saw a spot thatthe bludgers seemed to miss a small barly 3 foot spot. He lended forward on the broom and tucked his leg in close and shot off for the ground. A bludger barly hit his robes as he shot threw the hole. The second bludger chased after him toward the ground and hayzie and Laura.
He had wondered at first who hadlet the balls out then he knew who when he saw Laura standing there beside the box, the phrase'caught withthe hand in the cookie jar' didn't quiet seem to fit but that was what she was to him. He was not mad but slightly upset, they had been doing speed test at the moment not tactical manuvering. He saw the box with the clubs he charged atit with a bludger not 10 feet behind him"Laura mind handing me a club." he yelled toher as he got close.

Laura shrugged unconcernedly, and stooped down, pulling the remaining bat from it's leather strap, and threw it, javelin style to the boy.
"If you have a problem with the manner in which I conduct training, I'm always open to constructive criticism," she commented, her face warning the two Gryffindors that she meant the absolute contrary. If anybody even hinted at questioning her methods of training, she would either burst into tears, or beat them to a pulp.
The captain looked Lucian up and down, before turning her eyes to his broomstick. "Nice brand you've got there. I certainly hope your talent is worthy of a broom like that," she stated, her expression ambiguous as to whether she thought he deserved it or not.
"Well, if you plan to fly on the team, I better formally introduce myself. I think we met at the match, but I wasn't really concentrating, as you might recall. Laura Black, Gryffindor Prefect and Captain of Quidditch."
She had half extended a hand to him, when one of the bludgers chose her as it's next target, shooting towards her at what seemed around a hundred miles an hour. Laura looked at it with little apparent interest, but didn't move until it was meters away from here, when with catlike grace she sprang to one side, and dived on the offending ball as it embedded its self in the mud, wrestling it back into it's straight jacket.
She stood up, and held out her hand, as if nothing had happened, her face devoid of emotion.

Lucian smirked as she threw the Club, he grabbed it and spuna round hitting the bludger in mid spin. As he knocked it back he saw Laura putting the other bluger in the case. He held his hand out and shokes hers "My name is Lucian Wells." his tone wasnormal if not cold. He went all serious when he was playing and now that this training had kicked up to another notch he was serious now to.
He floated up another 10 feet "Why don't you grab a broom and come on and see if i am worthy of it." he shot straight up at a break neck speed. He stopped around 3000 feet up, he then turned to look at her "bring the Quaffel to if you don't mind, sense we have three chasers here i think it would be wisest to practise with our main ball." his tone was normal showing no real emotion behind it, just common fact.
He saw the Bludger coming back at him and he let it get withint 3 fee tbefore spinning and kicking it away only 15 feet as it shot back he hammered it to the ground with the club he had in his hand. The bludger was buryed in mud and was starting to try to get lose "And the bludger does make this feel like a game so lets play as if a win counted on it." his tone was more commanding then most captions would have liked, but he had been a caption most of his life, it was odd to take 2nd seat.

Hayzie had opened her mouth to make a smart quip as Laura told the two that she was open to constructive critisism, but the look on her face and in her eyes quickly made the blonde girl close her mouth once more. The Chaser watched with interest as Laura wrestled the bludger back into its case, and smiled a little as her friend stood up once more and listened to what Lucian had to say.
The way he seemed to be issuing orders would, most definately, get under Laura's skin, and Hayz had to look down to stop herself from letting a giggle fall from her lips. Her friend wasn't used to doing as others requested, and the slight blonde went to the box to pick up the Quaffle, listening for any signs of a response from Laura.

Laura remained where she stood, both feet firmly planted on the ground, contempt written in hard lines across her attractive face. If Lucian had known her better, he would be grateful for the fact that he was still air bourne, not plummeting towards the ground. But then again, if Lucian had known Laura better, he would have never dared to speak with such utter disregard for the respect she deserved as captain.
“So I suppose I’m to jump to your command like the good little girl I am?” She enquired, her tone full of affected geniality, which was possibly more frightening for anybody well aquatinted with the Gryffindor captain.
“Ohh,” she began again, her face twisted with mock surprise, eyes wide, mouth shaped in a cute ‘o,’ “But last I heard, you weren’t captain of Gryffindor? Last I heard...” she paused, encouraging the drama, “I heard that you had barely been at school for a fortnight, before you start giving me orders?” The expression on Laura’s face had smoothly morphed from that of naive shock to disgust.
Laura held up a hand to prevent any possible response. She didn’t feel like listening to excuses, or apologies, should they be aimed her way. The boy was certainly needing to make a good apology, if he wished to remain on the Gryffindor team, but she was going to let him begin until he had heard her out.
“Now, let me get one thing straight, love.” She began again, her voice not masking a dislike for the boy. Perhaps it was based on prejudice, as they had barely struck conversation up before she had decided on his character.
“Though the only time you have seen me previously may have been at a weak point of my time, crying on the pitch at last game, I’d beg you not to judge me by that. Seems perhaps hypocritical, I know and apologize,” her sardonic smile leading the sincerity of her apology to be called into question. “But that was after a match, a disappointment and I was feeling a little insecure.”<br> She coughed slightly, not gracing him with her gaze. “I think that it would be prudent to inform you, I am not one to display such vulnerability, so I’d ask you to look past this smile, and listen carefully.” Laura’s words were not sincere, as there was no hint of a smile on her granite like expression.
“First of all, you are in no position to attempt to challenge me in such a manner, secondly I would suggest you rethink your actions before attempt to challenge my leadership in any way. It is not only inappropriate, if not plain disrespectful, but it goes against the teamwork that any Quidditch team is made up of. I would of thought someone like you would know all about that though,” she sneered, not caring in the slightest that she could very well be seen as a complete witch with a capital ‘b,’ as it were.
Laura spun around to her fellow Gryffindor Prefect, giving her a glare that stated that if Hayzie were to succumb to her inclination towards hilarity, that it would not be forgotten in a hurry.
“Now, speak, Lucian,” Laura commanded, returning her gaze to the boy, the corners of her lips turned down in disapproval. “What do you have to say to my seemingly bigoted accusations?”

Lucian had slowly desended to hear her clearly. he was barly 600 feet fromthe ground then he simply let the broom drop the 600 feet stopping shot of the ground before he got off. Lucian walked toward the caption "I Do not have anything to say of your words, but what i do has everything to partan to what i have said, my words were not ment to be disrespectful in any way shape or form." he explained his voice was kind and gentle but his eyes not betraying him at all they were cold as ice in the bottom of the artic.
His hand went out to her " I mearly ment a invitation to the game or sorts that we are playing, I wished to see the caption on her broom stick, it was not a demand but simply a request." he did blushes very slightly but the blush could be explained by the wind "I am use to being caption so my words can become a order if you do not know me well, as hayzie does i do beg pardon ont his matter, as it is hard to break such habits."

A grin had grown on the blonde girl's face, and a giggle threatened to escape as Laura practically reprimanded Lucian right there on the pitch. When the captain suddenly turned around to face her fellow prefect once more, Hayzie lowered her head to hide the wide grin that had spread. The slight girl's shoulders shook lightly as she silently laughed. It was good fun to see a captain to captain conversation. Luckily, the lycan girl had always been in second place, and so she knew where she stood.
"Laura, don't worry. He'll find his place eventually. But maybe... maybe you should see how another captain performs training sessions. Just to... compare." Hayzie's words started off casual, but then became more and more uncertain by the syllable. By the end, a nervous look had crossed green eyes. Once more, Hayzie Roberts had overstepped the line.
"Maybe I'll just... leave you two to talk a while," The Prefect squeaked, turning and walking briskly away.

Lucian gave Hayzie a look that clearly said what he ment 'sit your butt right there' he did wonder if she would follow the glance or if she would be her normal self and walk off without a care in the word like the old days. Lucian looked at Laura "Look i am sorry if i offended you or hurt your ego as a caption i was mearly stating somthing nothing more, it was not a order and even if it was it was not as if you had to listen as it is with a caption anyway." his tone was soft and kind but underlying it was a harsh cold that could freeze anyone who got caght up into it.
