ooc: Im really sorry for starting a new thread, and making it rather long. But I got a day off from school today and Im rather bored
It was well into the night, about 2 AM, and Roan Aliagh couldnt sleep. She had tossed and turned in her bed and finally decided that if she didnt get up, she wasnt going to fall asleep. She sat up and looked around. A glance out the dormitory window told her exactly where she was going to go.
With a new vigor, Roan ran up to the Astronomy Tower, her long black robe whipping behind her. With her clever hands she tied her long brown locks up with her purple bow as she ran. She reached the door and dashed up the stairs. It was in the air, and she wanted to be at the top when it came. A storm was coming.
The young Hufflepuff girl loved storms, and loved to be out to watch them even more. To see thunder crash to the ground and feel the wind whip her face. To feel the cold rain fall hard against her skin and hear it hit the ground around her in its own musical sounds. But most of all, she loved the tension before the storm, the few almost too quiet moments before it all began.
Finally she reached the top of the stairs, and saw the sky unfold above her. There were no stars to be seen tonight, instead it was occupied by thick black and grey clouds that rolled across the heavens. The air was humid and sticky, and all was quiet. Her careful brown eyes scanned all around her. All this dry land would be wet soon, this was a big storm. The wind teased her hair from their bow, and small strands of it flowed gently in the wind.
She looked up to the sky, and all of a sudden things seemed to freeze for a moment, and then the rain fell, hard and fast and cold. Roan smiled with glee and felt the chill on her skin as she raised her hands up and spun around in the rain laughing. There was nothing like a good storm.

Persephone hadn't been able to sleep. Nightmares of her past, particularly those of her parents, were haunting her. Every time she closed her eyes she saw those horrid moments. She didn't want to remember them, but they wanted to remember her.
She got up from her bed, and put a night robe and cloak on. One glance at the window told her it was about to rain. The small Ravenclaw didn't want to miss it, and she knew where the best view was from...the Astronomy Tower.
She made her way up there cautiously. Her long silver blonde hair danced around her in the wind. She looked almost ethreal as she reached the top of the tower. Her body seemed to glow in the darkness.
As she walked around she saw another figure up there as well. She wondered who it was, and when she got closer she realized that she knew the girl. Her name was Roan, and she had met the girl at Diagon Alley not that long ago.
"Hey Roan."

A lilting, flowing flute melody joined the other voices, making the music fuller and more beautiful. Weaving between the warp of the rain, filling in the gaps, careful not to destroy the delicate balance of the fabric. It was definitely nothing the two students in the tower could have ever heard before this moment, and it was very likely they never would again.
The two students weren’t the only ones who couldn’t keep away from a storm. If one squinted into the driving rain, one could almost make out a tall figure with wings, contributing his own voice into the beauty of the storm. Every time lightning flashed, it illuminated his face for a split second. He hovered in the heart of the tempest, interweaving his magic with it.
The winds shrieked louder, their gusts tossing the faerie around like a new toy. He didn’t seem to mind, righting himself when needed, going with the flow of nature. Once, the winds brought him near the tower, and all the girls were able to see were soaked black locks framing a face of complete serenity before he was whisked away again.
He was one with the storm, at least until it passed, and that was all that mattered at the moment.

Roan opened her eyes and realized she had company. She stopped twirling for a moment, and turned to face the girl who had come up to join her.
"Hello Persephone, its such a beautiful night! I love storms" Roan yelled over the shrieking wind. She laughed again and removed her soaked shoes and robe, letting the rain stain her purple nightgown. With a snap the ribbon holding her hair broke and all her brown locks went flying around in the wind. "What brings you out here? Listening to the sound of the storm? Or just to feel the wind and rain on your face!?"
She twirled a bit more, feeling the cold rain slam into her face. The wind picked up, howling furiously. She heard a slight noise other than the storm, but brushed it off, until she heard it again. She turned to see the faerie get blown past them and smiled.
"It seems I am not the only one who enjoys a powerful storm" She screamed to him, trying to keep her voice above the sounds of the wind. She smiled and laughed again, waving to the man, and then turned to smile at Persephone.

Persephone had been about to answer when she had heard the sweet melody of a flute. She herself played flute, though she could never have made such an ethreal melody. She wasn't that talented.
She turned to see the sihoutte of a faerie. He looked like the one that she had seen up in the Divination's room that awful day. She wasn't certain though. She had only glimpsed him right before she passed out.
She turned back and heard Roan speak to her. It was almost impossible to hear each other over the wind, but she was certain that the wind would die down...a little bit.
"Yeah! I came down here to see it! This," she gestured to the tower, " has the best view!"
Her voice fought it's way through the storm to Roan.

The storm, already powerful, picked up the tempo, falling in torrents, stabbing the students like little needles. But the rain ceased to be cold and refreshing, instead it began to sizzle. Small puffs of steam rose from the ground where the water fell, rising in swirls, barely visible through the gray liquid sheets.
And a fourth figure joined the group. Her long, ivory locks danced behind and around her, wet strands sticking to her face and body. Black silk clung to her curves like a second skin, accenting her lithe figure, and ebony wings drooped slightly, curved behind her shoulder blades. Stopping about a foot or two away from the trio, she moved her gaze over them.
Once beautiful amber eyes, now faded to a lifeless brown, took in the faces of the two happy humans, before coming to rest on the male faery with a raised brow. She hadn't met too many males of the fae kind. Lowering her eyes in a deceptively submissive gesture, she called out, both in voice and thought, a simple "Hello."
The heat that seemed to have filled the violent wind, boiling the water, died down, allowing the rain to cool the grounds once more. The wind, though still fierce, died down some as well, enough so they could hear each other without shouting. Curving her lips into what almost resembled a smile, she studied each person in turn from beneath thick lashes.

Persephone turned. She hadn't heard the person as much as sensed them, and it freaked her out slightly. Still, she knew it would be polite, and safer, to see who this person who joined them was.
Sephe's long silver blonde hair clung in strands to her small body. Her green eyes were still filled with fire, and the rain hadn't damped them a bit. Her clothes clung to her body leaving every inch of her soaked.
When Persephone saw who the fourth visitor was, her eyes almost popped out of her head. She had never seen a demon this close, and she had a thought she never wanted to either. She had always tried to avoid their kind, not certain if she should trust them or not. But she had gotten used to lycans in some absurb way. Perhaps she would get used to demons too...

(Note: Luka was flying when he was playing. Sorry if I didn’t make that clear)
The music from the faerie’s flute abruptly stopped as the rain’s rhythm suddenly changed. What had been fresh water rejuvenating the earth abruptly changed to hot tears from the sky. Though the change only lasted a few seconds, he did not resume playing after the rain returned to normal. It wasn’t the same. The moment was lost.
He gently landed in the tower, a few feet away from the others. He nodded a greeting to the students, then faced the newcomer with a still expression on his face. His raven hair slowly settled into place as the wind died down. The faerie opened his dark violet eyes, calmly meeting the coffee-brown gaze of the demoness. She was beautiful in the deadly way akin to all those of her kind.
She addressed them both speaking and using telepathy, though they could all hear her voice through the rain. The faerie, ignoring the strange look that she gave him, bowed politely. “What have we done to deserve your company, my lady?” Although his voice was soft, it carried easily to everyone’s ears.
Briefly, he wondered how this particular event would turn out. He hadn’t had much luck with lycans.

One by one, she continued to study the astronomy tower's current occupants, committing their faces to memory. The ghost of a smirk danced across her features as she noticed the green-eyed girl's shock, and her apprehension. Both reactions were expected, demons were not exactly known for their kindness, especially when dealing with humans. But at the moment she had nothing to fear from the demoness.
"You have done nothing to deserve my company, and yet, here I am." she answered simply, brown eyes once more on the faerie. Strolling towards the tower's edge, she hefted herself atop it, shifting until she was in a more comfortable position. Pulling her knees to her chest, she cradled her chin in her hand, leaning her elbow on her knees.
"Most people rather not be out during a storm, preferring to be under their roofs, dry and curled up next to a warm fire.." she said, lifting her face to the now-gentle sprinkle of rain. She wasn't very good at idle conversation, at least, not anymore. But she felt the need to show them that she meant them no harm, for the night anyway.

Persephone listened to the demoness as she spoke. There was no obvious threat in her words, and she started to relax slowly. Still, she was on her guard slightly. She had learned long ago to never leave herself complety open to hurt, wether from attack or not.
"Yes, but when your in a house you can't feel the storm. From here you get the whole thing."
She smiled slightly at that. She had always enjoyed dancing in the rain, and crying where no one could see her. The rain was a part of her just like everything else. It meant more than a reason to stay in, it was almost a reason for her to live.

The rain fell softer and Roan opened her eyes, looking around her. So much had happened in such a short time. Now the faerie had landed, and a demon was near them. She shook the drops out of her eyes and pushed her soaking wet locks behind her. Roan felt for her wand, but realized it was in the commonroom by her bed. Of all the brightest things to do. If this demon decided to attack she would be defenseless.
But no hostile words came from the demon's mouth, and Roan relaxed a little. She wrung out the bottom of her now soaking wet nightgown. She looked up at the sky and realized it was still really late, and finally she was tired. The Hufflepuff sat down on the stone roof of the astronomy tower and looked around. She couldn’t stay up here much longer, now all her body wanted to do was crawl into bed. But she wasn’t going to leave Persephone and the Faerie alone on the tower with a demon, not in a million years.

Persephone watched out of the corner of her eye as Roan sat down. It was nice to know that her friend wasn't going to leave her at the mercy of strangers. Still, she could see how exhausted Roan was, and she felt a wave of concern wash over her.
If anyone get's hurt...even if it's not because someone attacked them, I know I'm gonna blame myself
And it was true too. She often blamed herself for things that weren't her fault, or at least that was what her friends kept telling her. She just didn't know any more.
Persephone felt the weight of her wand in her sleeve. She always kept it in there if she was out of the common room. It was habit, and the feeling made her relax a little.

The falling drops of water slowed until only a few drops touched the ground. It seemed the rain was nearly over.
In contrast to the students, the faerie didn't seem worried. Then again, unlike humans, he had no need for a wand as a crutch to use magic.
His expression had not changed from when he first greeted the demoness. She had not exhibited any hostility, and until she did, he would not judge her. Perhaps the demon race deserved their reputation, but there was always another side to an argument. This he knew very well.
"Then we are honored," he replied to her, bowing again. "I suppose most humans would prefer to stay dry. However, I am often found in the midst of a storm." He glanced at the two students, smiling slightly. "It is somewhat surprising to find humans enjoying a storm." The faerie then turned to the demoness. "I was not aware that demons liked rain as well. Strange how easily we can find common ground, and still have room for hostility."

ooc: Just a question, is this before or after your thread in the library? If we could perhaps make it before that thread, it'd make things much simpler...
I'll modify this post later, class is about to start and I have no time to post ><
