Aylen called a greeting to the blond Hufflepuff. “Hello! Never knew so many people could fence!” He grinned, though you couldn’t see it behind his mask. He watched as Rezna handled the blade expertly. “Not bad. Maybe you could give Arella and me some tips? I’m completely new at this.” As if to prove his point, he gave the foil an experimental swing and it hit the floor, gouging it. “Whoops...what am I doing wrong? Is it just my lack of coordination?”

Rezna saluted Forgoil by raising the foil she held in her hand up to her face so the point was just at her chin and then swiftly snapped it down so the point was pointing to the floor at her right.
"To fight a master like you would be too much of an honor. My main training has been with, well larger blades; although, I have been taught with both a foil and an epee. I can aid you in demonstrating moves if you'd like."
As she walked toward the three people before her, she couldn't help but smile at Aylen's mistake. It was his trademark, after all. 'As if tripping with a weapon in hand wasn't dangerous enough to its wielder,' she thought with a benign smile at the boy.
"I will only give you tips, Aylen and Arella, if Master Halifirien wishes it. Having two masters teach a small number of people brings about more havoc then good, for each has his own methods of teaching. Perhaps Master Forgoil can tell you what you're doing wrong. I would also be very grateful if he had an extra glove, mask, and jacket I could borrow." Rezna was sure that if she did fight him, Forgoil would use precise thrusts that could cause her some damage which would be most unfortunate for her.

"Well, there is a spare uniform in the equipment bag of mine; it may not fit, but its all I have. And I agree that with two different instructors things could become rather hectic. Perhaps you would like to teach Arella or Aylen and I shall teach the other?", inquired Forgoil.
However, Forgoil quickly assumed the proper fencing stance, and quirked his right eyebrow at Rezna from beneath his mask. Gently twirling his sword in small circles, Forgoil asked Rezna in a serious tone, "Or would you like to show Arella and Aylen how experienced fencers duel?"

Rezna gave Forgoil a smirk as he took the guard position and tempted her with an invitation by his seemingly careless moves. She knew better, but not well enough.
"Experienced fencers, Master Halifirien?" she asked in an equally serious tone. "Please do not embarrass me further. I am light years away from assuming the title of 'experienced.' However, if you want to give your students, as I do not know the art well enough to teach them, a demonstration. I will gladly oblige."
With that Rezna pulled her wand out from behind her belt and summoned the necessary equipment. First she put on the jacket that fit her a little loosely around the shoulders but otherwise wasn't too uncomfortable. Then, she pulled on her mask so the grid made the room look like a checkerboard. Finally, she slipped on the padded glove which was a little large, probably from Forgoil's use, onto her right hand with which she picked up the foil.
Coming to face him, Rezna wondered how much she was going to embarrass herself. It had been ages since she had fenced, or even dueled, with anyone. Forgoil was definitely an expert swordsman who could overcome her with one parry, riposte, and a lunge.
Still, with her heart beating quickly with excitement, she came to face him. Making sure that the way was clear both before and behind them, she saluted him as she had done before. She too took up the guard position, making sure her weight was distributed evenly to both her legs, and she brought the foil forward slightly. It was his turn now.

Playfully leering from behind his fencing mask; Forgoil observed Rezna for any sign of weakness. Finding none, Forgoil retreated away from her while using his sword to beckon her to follow. In fencing, it was almost as important to play on a person's emotions; cause they could lose their concentration and make themselves a target. Forgoil advanced a bit, but scurried back; continuing this process as he tried to reel in Rezna. Slowly twirling his foil in small circles; Forgoil continued to grin and watch his opponent. The opportunity to attack would come soon; if Rezna couldn't understand his plan.

She watched his attack retreat method with quizzical eyes that were hidden by her mask. She had learned well in the past that fighting could only be done on your terms. If she kept following his lead, she'd be waltzing and not fighting.
'No, if you really want to dance, let's dance,' she thought with an evil grin. She couldn't let herself get reckless, but she really wanted to fight. To do that she needed to move her foil as much as her legs.
Just as Forgoil began to move toward her, she advanced on him. As she did so, she swung her foil under his, and quickly raised it skyward to cease his foil's constant hypnotic circular movements. Just as she did so she detached her foil and proceeded with her riposte as she lunged forward.

Fae was trying to find the lake, but somehow ended up in this huge room full of weapons. 'The Dueling Hall?' She thought, smacking herself mentally. Someone give her a map of this place! She sighed and made to turn around and leave. But then, she heard voices. And metallic clashes. Would they...? Could it possibly be...? She abandoned the idea of leaving almost instantly and ran toward the noise. Yes, there, in the center of the hall, two figures dressed in fencing gears were carefully 'waltzing'. They were fencing! Fae's stomach filed with emotion. Last time she had seen someone fence was while his brother's weekly classes, before he had been killed. She always loved to watch him and her father, dancing carefully, parrying, attacking, separating... And she had wanted to learn, too, but woman don't fence, her mother had said, laughing at her. Her eyes narrowed. But now, if her mother couldn't do anything to stop her, she could learn fencing, right? 'And besides, it'd be very useful during these times,' she thought. But she wouldn't interfere the duel. She'd sit and watch until they'd finish, then she'd show herself.
