Atticus walked curiously into the Great Hall, and crossed over to the Slytherin Table, glancing around warily. There were so many new students... he barely recognized anyone here anymore.
He had been gone far too long, apparently. The Foreign Exchange trip to France had gone well, but he had missed the castle. There were many drastic differences between Beuxbatons, and Magic Horizon; other than the language, of course. But that hadn't been too great a problem. However, making the switch from French back to English was proving to be difficult. Often, he would automatically speak in French, and had recieved nothing but strange looks when he had made the trip to Diagon Ally to get new Slytherin robes; he was taller, a seventh year now, and his old robes had grown too short.
But another thing that he had missed was the food. French cuisine was hard to eat every single day...
The blonde sat down gratefully at one of the tables and glanced around before seizing a chicken drumstick and biting into it. Lots had changed, that was for sure. But for the better? He would have to find out.

Hungry.
That was Orca's first though apon waking. He lay sprawled out in front of the entrance to the Slytherin dorms; having forgotten the password a while ago, the wolf-boy had been on the floor outside. Stretching, the Lycan sat up, gazing muzzily at nothing in particular.
Hungry.
Getting to his feet with un-wolfish like clumsiness, the shaggy-haired boy loped up the stairs and padded along the hallway to the Great Hall. At the entrance there, he stopped.
It couldn't be.
But it was.
"Attyyyyyyyyyyyyyy!" The howl resounded off the very rafters of the Hall, and students who had been peacefully eating looked up in astonishment.
The speed at which Orca hurled himself at Atticus was enough to shock the hell out of surrounding students, most whom intelligently dived out of the way. Orca flung his arms around his friend and hugged him tightly.
God, but he had missed him.
Though he didn't realize it, the wolf-boy was crying silently, arms locked tightly around the blonde as if to never let him go.
"Are you... really back?"

Atticus looked up in alarm at the sound of his nickname. He turned his head, with the chicken leg still in his mouth, and his golden-amber eyes widened with surprise. Instantly, it all came rushing back,
The time when he had first arrived at the castle, and Orca had tackled him there, in the forest, just before Orca became a Lycan... at Orca's birthday... and at so many other times and places.... Some things never change.
Orca's body slammed into his, and the drumstick was tossed aside as Atticus spread his arms to brace himself against the table, which rocked dangerously under the force of Orca's assault, the various plates sliding across the tablecloth.
The boy had clamped his arms tightly around Atticus' middle and held him as if the very world would be thrown into the depths of hell if the blonde was released. Silent tears streaked down the boy's face as he cried tears of happiness. Atticus made an effort to sit up, and embraced his best friend tightly in his lap, his own eyes watering with emotion as he held the boy. He had gotten stronger, and was more heavily built than the delicate boy he remembered arriving on his doorstep that stormy night.
He brushed the droplets away from the younger boy's face with the back of his fingers, smiling through his own tears. He had missed the boy more than he knew.
"Yeah... I'm back, kiddo. And I'm not going to leave again. I promise."

Another slytherin student had skipped into the great hall she was quite hungry.She noticed that the slytherin student was sitting beside his best freind Orca. Not knowing who he was or where he came from she said "Hello" in a pleasent matter.
Grapping a couple chicken drums and more she then starting eatting. Slytherin was a popular commonroom and the table was pretty full.

Orca couldn't believe it. It just seemed too... too good to be true. Flesh and cloth melted into snow white fur, and the Lycan experimently licked Atticus's face, golden gaze suspicious.
"Wai waaaiiii!" yelped the boy, turning back human and effectively glomping his friend. Scrubbing away his tears with more or less clean fists, the Lycan gave a fang-toothed grin to the blonde.
"You can't ever leave again, okay?" The boy nodded sagely, expression completely serious. He looked down for a moment, aqua eyes flickering silver.
"Please...?"

As she looked at Orca she said her "Hello Orca and Atticus" she said in a louder voice hoping that someone would noticed her attention.
Well she looked at Orca she could tell that he was quite pleased. Enjoying her chicken drum, potoes and pumpkin juice she noticed that there were other student's looking at them even her self.
Well maybe it wasn't for the best but she pulled out a couple of text books and started to do her homework for some of her fellowing classes. Even though she didn't want to do it. But it would earn slytherin house points and maybe at the end of the year they would win the house cup.

Hikalyn, seated at the other end of the table, hadn't even looked up as Atticus entered. With all the kerfuffle that was the normal atmosphere in the Great Hall, one person more or less in the room made little different. But she easily caught her friend's voice over the crowd. Her head came up swiftly, and when she recognized the blond boy whom Orca had wrapped in an enthusiastic hug, she did a double take. Then her face broke out in a grin, and she rose swiftly, abandoning her still near-full plate of food and came up behind the two boys, unnoticed in all the commotion. She leaned forward her mouth was right by the blond boy's ear. Then she said in a conversational tone, "Boo."

Atticus grinned and ruffled the brown hair, chuckling appreciatively while wiping his wet cheek with the back of his hand.
"Je promets," He agreed looking reassuringly into Orca's eyes, shifting to a melancholy grey, "Je ne te partirai déjà."
He briefly saw another Slytherin student, greeting him softly from behind his friend, and he opened his mouth to say hello in return, but his greeting was lost in a surprised cry when Kalyn startled him. Turning around, he stared at her for a moment, then embraced his friend.
"Kalyn! Mon dieu... I missed you, girl! How've you been?"
~~~~~~~~~~~~ French translations: "I promise" "I won't leave you again" "My god..."
She noticed that he was quiet popular. She then smile back "No worries at all." in a mellow voice.
For some reason she couldn't do her homework and wanted to join in the fun. But she wasn't quite sure about it. It did look like alot of fun but on the other hand she did have quite a bit of work do.
I don't now what to do! Or should I just join in looking like I those these people. They did look like they were having fun and she could do her homework another time.
Atticus smiled as he waited for Kalyn to reply, but soon returned his attention back to the girl near him, she was about his same age, he wondered if she was new or not; he had never met her before.
He waved his wand at a group of glasses, transfiguring them into butterbeer. It had been cold outside, before he'd arrived. His return called for some sort of celebration.
"Hey," He said warmly, extending his hand towards her and offering her the drink,
"I'm Atticus, what's your name?"
She took the drink from Atticus hand resting it on the table top.
"Allison and it's a pleasure to meet you Atticus"
She then took a slip of butterbetter and ask him "How was your trip to Beuxbatons" in a warmly tone. It did sound quite neat.
The Head Girl's warm smile broadened into a mischevious grin when the blond boy started, obviously surprised by Kalyn's approach, but she was quick to return her friend's embrace. "Missed you, too," she replied sincerely on pulling away. "And I've been... keeping busy." She might have said more, but her attention was distracted when Atticus shifted his gaze and slid a mug of foaming liquid down the table towards a girl sitting a couple seats away, watching the little reunion. Kalyn gave the girl a nod and a smile in greeting, but at her question she turned her eyes quickly back on Atticus. "Yes, how was it?" she asked eagerly, pulling out an empty chair and settling herself comfortably upon it.
He smiled again at Atticus's words. Now, Orca hadn't a clue what the blonde had just said, but as everyone knows, the French language is one of the best ways to communicate with dogs. And Orca was kind of a dog. Half, anyway.
He made himself comfortable in Atticus's lap, leaning his head back against the other boy's chest. He sighed contentedly. Pulling back, he looked his blonde friend straight in his golden eyes and said,
"Shut the door, Atty."
Now, seeing as how Orca had known Atticus would be in France, he had at least attempted to learn one simple phrase to tell his friend upon his return.
He grinned, clearly extremely pleased with himself.
Atticus laughed happily at Orca's statement. His pronunciation left, well... something to be desired, but it was still comprehendable.
"Je t'adore aussi, mon ami."
Yes, he loved him too. He was such a quirky friend, who could help but not love him? He hugged the younger boy happily and handed Kalyn a butterbeer.
"It was great!" He said with enthusiasm, the french accent still slightly audible in his speech. "I got to teach there, and I learned loads... and met plenty of people. Got to see Paris, and that was pretty amazing." He grinned widely. "Helped my Transfiguration and Charms loads, but not so much in the Defénse Contre La Mauvaise..." He corrected himself. "Defense Against the Dark Arts. Not as big there as it is here....: He explained; "But the castle was beautiful... I could hardly believe how... rich everything looked. I felt like I was living in a freaking mansion, not a school."
He laughed as he took a gulp of Butterbeer, which warmed him considerably. The other students may not have considered this weather cold, but France had been warmer than it was here, and Atticus wasn't particularly fond of the cold.
"All the french girls seemed particularly fascinated by the blonde foreigner, though." He said, chuckling appreciatively. "Couldn't shake 'em for love or money... But I guess that's just the way it happens when you study abroad, like that. It's amazing how much you're set apart from the rest of the crowd..." He paused, reminiscing solemly for a moment. "De temps en temps... J'avais triste; d'être seulment comme ça peux te fait foid." He smiled, almost sadly, unaware that he had swapped languages again. But the expression flickered, and vanished altogether as he brightened.
"So, what did I miss here? Anything new other than the fact that I know practically no one here anymore?"
~~~~~~~~~~~~ EDIT: Ack. Fergot the translations... "I love you too, my friend." "From time to time... I was sad; for to be alone like that can chill you."

She looked at Atticus and said in bright tone "That's great news."
Beside she wasn't quite sure about the lycan in Atticus lap. He did seem like a nice boy after all maybe she was pre judging him. But she wasn't one hundered percent sure.
Taking another slip sip of her butter she couldn't say any more. Maybe it was time to yet Hilkalyn and Orca have a few more sayings because they did now him better then she did.
