His emerald green eyes widened immensely as he first saw the castle in the distance. Nobody told him he would be going to a castle, or even a place with windows for that matter. All he had been told was that he would be changing schools at the beginning of the year. His parents told him that he was supposed to go on a train, use a ticket for the train at a platform that couldn't exist, and when he arrived at the school his supplies would be waiting for him.
It all sounded like a last ditch effort to get rid of him after he accidentally made a glass window disappear in a electronics store about halfway through the previous year. He was arrested for the night simply because he was the only one near the window and he couldn't explain why or how the glass disappeared. Absurd things like that had been happening to him all of his teenage life and nobody could tell him why.
Vallon simply figured that the wall vanished for some obscene reason while he was in the train station. He was simply walking backward and tripped. He fell through the wall and smacked his head on the ground on the opposite side. Vallon guessed that he really wasn't paying attention at all where he was going and somehow got face to face with a wall. None of it made sense in the least. He had turned around to see where he was and found himself staring at the platform sign that notified him that he was, in fact, at platform 9 3/4. He got on the train and took a ride, almost nobody else was riding in his cart. The ones that were on the train looked like they were out of their minds and talked like it too! Wearing dresses and talking about magic, the whole lot of them were. Vallon just made up his mind that he was being sent to the puzzle factory just so he could be out of his parents' hands.
His black and neon green Tripp pants billowed as a cool wind shot across the grounds. A large emerald shamrock was painted onto the back of his tar black shirt, he was proud of his heritage and he showed it often. Bearing the clover on his back was his way of saying where he was from, Ireland. He no clue where he really was now, he could only guess that he was still in England somewhere. The heavy chain that Vallon wore around his neck got cold from the wind and sent an involuntary shiver down his spine. He pulled the chain out from under his shirt to reveal the Celtic Cross, he kissed it once for luck then put it back under his shirt.
Vallon took a deep breath then took a step along the walkway to the castle. He walked along until he got to the doors. He put one hand on the door, then shoved his way inside. Vallon walked in and took a look around, what he saw dazed him into thinking that he was just on a really bad trip and in some closet or another. Moving pictures, people flying through walls, statues turning their heads to see who came in the door! "What in the Archangel's name is going on here?!" Vallon whispered to himself.
"Is there anybody in here?" He called out, a bit louder than he had anticipated. The sound of his voice, thick with an Irish accent, raced down the corridor and back to him.

Dante had just been sitting on the stairs the cold wind comferting. When a thick accent reached her ears. She pulled herself up on her large wooden shoes, her kimono cold from the wind. Walking her blind eyes wide she liked the chilling feeling it gave her to know her eyes were open and she still couldn't see. She stopped just short of the man she could tell this by his aura whiched also seemed very confuse as it swirled about him.
"Hello?" She asked tentavily putting a hand on the young mans shoulder. Her new silver hair falling to the bend of her knees and swirling around her body like mist.

Krista was indeed in the Entrance Hall when the new boy spoke. Krista immediatley spotted him as Irish, his accent was so thick. She stepped forward calmly, presenting herself into the light.
She swept her black hair out of her eyes and tucked a loose strand of blue bangs behind her ear, so she could see perfectly out of lime green eyes.
Her dragon boots clicked on the stone floor as she walked towards the boy. She wore ligt blue ripped jeans, a studded belt and a t-shirt with the THE USED printed across the chest.
"Yeah, I'm here. You new here? You look so lost..." Krista commented, offering her hand for the young boy to shake.

OOC: I'm going to post directly responding to your posts, punctuation and all. If that bothers you, please do be more careful with how you phrase things in the future while around those who do look closely at what you write. Also, could you possibly write a bit more in your posts? Add some more substance to them, you know, like add detail. Also, possibly proof read your post once over? It would make it so much easier on the brain if everything made sense. There's a spell check on here for a reason IC: Valon watched the blind girl as she walked toward him in her silly outfit. An odd pair of wooden shoes were on her feet, at first Valon really didn't know what to think about them but in the end guessed that she was probably like one of the people on the train; completely out of her mind. The next part of her attire befuddled him even more. "Why would someone wear a fancy bath robe as clothing? Was it one of those kee-mo-no things that those sammy-rye in Japan used to wear?" He wondered to himself. Valon began to wonder if she was going to do some sort of kabuki clog dance, because if she was, she was perfectly dressed for it. The strange vocal infliction that the girl put on the word 'hello' made it sound as though it was a question. Valon wasn't sure how it was possible that 'hello' could even be used as a question other than asking why someone said hello. As Black's hand came to rest on Valon's shoulder, he smacked it away. As he smacked away the hand he gave the girl a look as to say "don't touch me". Unfortunately for him, she was blind and probably wouldn't even get the hint besides the smack on the hand. A second girl made her entrance shortly after he stepped away from Black. The second one apparently was hiding in the shadows when Valon had entered. She wore torn pants and a shirt that labeled her as 'used'. The girl stated that she was present, asked if he was new, then said that Valon looked lost. "I can see that you are here, it's quite obvious. Also, it's quite obvious that I am new here, anybody could tell you that. My look of confusion, and now my annoyed look, can quite well point out that I am new here! Isn't it obvious that I'm lost?" His voice raised in volume with every word. Valon was a bit bewildered by his surroundings and a bit annoyed at those around him. He wasn't the type of person who liked physically contact with those he didn't know. "Where am I?" Valon asked, each word was spoken slowly and clearly. He was coming into the belief that he was going out of his mind, dreaming, or even hallucinating all of this and would come out of it at any second.

Even before the sun had fully risen students were amassed in the entrance hall of the castle with their numerous bags of luggage. Perhaps thirty new students were present, talking with each other or trying to get some rest before their sorting. An hour after dawn the castle gates opened. A dozen more students filed out first, and then she stepped into the new sunlight. Her robes were scarlet-peach, almost the color of her face, with a black cloak fastened at her shoulders. Here and there flashes of the Gryffindor adornments she wore stood out. Their glimmer complimented her cheery appearance. Indeed, she looked so happy and energetic that one could almost believe she had fallen prey to a long term Cheering charm. Still, one thing she did not look was weak. She clenched her books in one hand while blue and green eyes scrutinized the masses before her. She shifted her weight on her legs anxiously, debating on her approach. Clearly, this girl was unexperienced when it came to head on confrontation: a poor aspect, when meeting new people.
Damn self esteem thought Sin. Just then, her eyes fell upon a group of three students hanging off to the side. Two girls and a boy... two Slytherins and one Ravenclaw. They stood closely together, obviously engaged in some form of conversation. Sin studied their appearences closely, somewhat amused at their colorful array. She wet her lips, and walked over as the boy's question rolled off his tongue. “Magical Horizons,” Sin replied reflectively, her voice like the silky call of a lark. “School of witchcraft and wizardy” she thought for a moment before saying, “And I'm Sin, resident Gryffindor”

(just after the girl named Sin spoke, a cold chill ran through the hall. the sky was clear, and there was no sign of bad weather approaching, but the air ran cold as a familiar voice echoed from the raftors of the bustling hall,)
Hello, and welcome.
(a figure stepped from the beams that it had been sitting upon, and the smell of old blood wafted from above. surprisingly, the figure seemed to fall slowly, almost as if he was floating downward to the group. a cruel chuckle eminated from his toothy grin, and his fancy dress shoes clicked on the dark stone floor.)

OOC: Wow... a vampire that traded the ability to capitalize the first letter in each sentence for the ability to fly... For all the time you've been here it is quite astonishing that you are incapable of simple grammar and sentence structure, you really should work on that.
IC: Vallon looked at Sin as she approached. She appeared to be full of pride and joy to be there. Although to Vallon it looked like the girl was way too happy. Her bright clothing gave the impression that she had too much energy and fanaticism about everything. Vallon stared at her as she came closer then listened to what she had to say.
The words came out of the girl's mouth with a bit too much pep for Vallon's taste. In reply all he did was give her a bored look. "Witchcraft and wizardry, eh?" He repeated quietly. It sounded like she believed in all that babble about magic a little too much. "What in tar-nation is a Gryffindor, if I may ask? Would that be the person who requires their medications to be increased on a weekly basis. If it isn't I would recommend that you tell your local doctor to up the dose on what you're taking now, then see if that helps any." He said the latter part a bit quieter than the first, he wasn't sure if the girl would either hear or be offended by the remark.
Vallon sighed and decided that he really couldn't care less if a crazy person didn't like him. Why should someone who doesn't know fully who they are at all times be able to get under his skin if those who knew exactly what they were doing couldn't? "So this is a school for witches and wizards you say? I'll believe it when a gender confused vampire comes falling down from the ceiling." Almost as if on cue, crowe made his entrance when Vallon gave the ultimatum.
The smell of the dead hit Vallon's nostrils like a bag of bricks. The scent of decay was never one that amused Vallon in the least. In fact, the smell was utterly revolting and disgusting. He knew that it was the blood of another long before the vampire decided to enter. The laugh and smile told Vallon long before crowe got close that whatever it was that was falling thought it was a vampire. As crowe touched down the boy looked at him once then shook his head. "Fine then. I guess this really is a school for witches and wizards. That would explain a bit of what is going on here, but if this is a school of magic then you must be a vampire."
Vallon gave a mock bow as the humanoid leech stopped moving. As his head was lowering, the cross fell out from under his shirt and swung loosely in the air. He raised his head then looked over his shoulder at the door. "Goodbye." He said flatly as he turned and walked out the door. As he left he made sure to catch crowe fully in the sunlight that washed over the grounds. If it really was a vampire, it wouldn't be around much longer as anything more potent than a pile of ash.

Krista watched as the mysterious, and maybe a bit cruel boy walked out the doors. But Krista was way too intrigued to leave the boy alone. She had never known the feeling to have no idea what was going on in her life. It had always been in her control, and if it hadn't been, she'd made it so it was. She was spoiled beyond belief, and she knew the boy had probably been brought up the same kind of way.
She tapped her foot, waiting to see if he would come back. When he didn't, she decided to follow him out the doors to try and find him. She left Dante, the boy named Sin, and according to the new boy, the gender-confused vampire.
She knew she ought not to like the new kid, for being so cruel and rude to the others, but she was so confused about his situation, she disregarded that fact. He seemed like he could be an interesting person, someone she herself could in fact get along with. Snappy and extremely sarcastic, Krista could tend to come off as a bit rude and unlikeable sometimes.
She ran after the boy, whom she could see was walking away from the school. "Hey! Kid!" she said, feeling odd because she didn't know his proper name. She knew he would most likely say something snappy in reply, so she continued before he could speak. "Listen, I know everything for you must be really confusing, but you shouldn't leave. You'll like it here, I can already tell. With an attitude like yours, you'll be a really strong wizard," she tried to assure him. "I can help you there," she offered, extending her hand for him to shake. "I'm Krista, Slytherin house, the best, of course."

ooc: -low whistle- I'll admit, I'm intriegued...and considering watching my spelling in this post!
bic: The sun was shining in a clear blue sky once again, its rays reflecting off the snowand looking more crystalline that anything Hayzie had seen in a long time. Whistling a merry tune to herself, feeling a lot better than she had done not long after new year, the blonde Head Girl returned up the path towards the school, taking it the sights around her. Maybe Spring would arrive earlier that year. Either that, or the school was in for a few more snow showers before January was out.
Putting the controls of her Hovermatic 3000 back onto Manual, Hayz stretched her arms down to the wheels of the wheelchair and began wheeling herself along, an action she had grown used to, and sometimes missed. After all, it was one of few forms of exercise she could do nowdays. Continuing her jaunty tune, it took until a young man had almost past her for Hayz to even realise someone was there. If she had even wanted to notice he was there to begin with that was.
"Cheer up," Hayz called out as she passed him, "It's a lovely day, don't you think? No need to look so glum... or did you just have a homework assignment returned? That can sometimes cause glumness, but either way..."

ooc: Sorry, not that I want to be a nuisance or anything but, I'm a girl Krista.
Sin sighed, placing her hands at the back of her neck. She was smiling, enjoying the morning exchange between herself and another fellow student....who was obviously having some serious doubts about the world he had just been thrust into. Of course, you’d be hard-pressed to find a time when Sin wasn’t smiling. It seemed as if nothing could even dampen her spirits, and no matter what happened, that bright smile was always present with Sin. In fact, that was one of the reasons her friends loved her so much. Sin straightened to her full height (which wasn’t much) and chuckled.
"So that'll be 1 pill...2 pills...3 pills more..."
Twitch, crack, twitch, crick-crack, that's how it went for a few seconds, until the yew oak beams gave an almighty lurch. Surprised, Sin looked up and jumped out of the way, her nose barely a foot away from where the infamous Joey Crowe had landed. She glanced at the vampire, asking with her eyes, "What, no warning?" Joey paid no mind, so she dug her long painted nails into her pockets, being careful not to crumple any of the spare pieces of parchments within. Slowly she moved to the side; a witness to the sudden upheaval of venom from the newcomer's lips.
Sin stared. Not until the monotonous clicking of shoes met her ears and a few moments of time had passed did she realize the absurdity of the situation. The boy had taken off.
"Hey...I didn't get your name yet!!!" Sin called frantically, aghast at her own lack of manners. She hadn't even bothered to ask.

ooc- I'm not going to bother explaining the lack of proper grammar concerning Joey's character to a person with three posts under his/her belt. Try talking again when you're more than just new flesh...
bic- (the light from the outdoors radiated inside the hall, and joey welcomed it with a smile.) You're quite right, Hayzie...such a nice day outside...(he slunk into the shadows of the hall, feeling overjoyed at his new adversary, and anxious to...see...him again.)

OOC: I never said that I was leaving the school completely, just the entrance hall.
IC: Vallon took a sharp turn soon after he left the front steps. The people inside were all going to either make him want to leave for good, or just blow out his ear-drums so that he would never have to listen to that absurdity again. He kept walking even though one girl was calling after him trying to get his name, but then stopped briefly as he caught one person calling him 'kid'. Vallon had to restrain himself from going back and smacking the one who called him a kid. He never took crap like that back at home and he sure wouldn't in this place.
"Why do I bother with the living any more?" He asked himself quietly as he picked up his pace and path once more. A bunch of words followed him, but he mostly didn't care. He was a bit more preoccupied with looking for another door inside. Vallon started to look where he was walking after a few minutes. A simple dirt path was all that really guided him to anywhere. He stopped at a trisecting fork in the road. "Three paths, but which to take first?" He muttered under his breath.
Vallon could see, at the end of one path, a vast forest. Undoubtedly inhabited by something that he wouldn't feel like dealing with just yet. At the end of another path were the large gates that he had walked through to enter. That would probably be the second path that he would choose, there had to be a hotel or something near the train station. The last path forked multiple times. The one trail that caught Vallon's eye the quickest appeared to go into a cemetery. No living beings would be in a cemetery, and any that possibly were there wouldn't be talking much. Silence, silence was what Vallon would appreciate now. He figured that if he really didn't like it at magic horizons he could always go back home. If a train brought people in, a train would be there to take them back out.
Vallon took a quick look over his shoulder, then began on his way to the cemetery.
OOC: Hey crowe, bring it.

ooc: No prob Krista...just thought you should know, should we rp again Natural disasters were everywhere. Immense cavities opened up in the earth. Vampires and the like roamed the grounds. And other scum rolled in from nearby. At first Sin couldn’t place at all why the boy was headed to the cemetary. Everything all seemed so foreign to her, especially the demolished state of the leaves and trees. It looked like a road to trouble...a world that Sin would have fun making an even bigger mess of. Sin paced up and about where she stood, finally flinging herself down the path every which way on the chilly fall morning. It had started as a friendly, magical autumn day, but when that boy had arrived... things had quickly become nippy. Then again, who wouldn't be cross after being forced into something you most certinly showed no interest in. Sin had made certain that the distance between herself and the boy was of an reasonable amount. She was willing to pursue after her curiosity, but now the sliver of doubt she had had... had begun to take initiative. Discolored eyes raised to look up at the towering figure in front of her. She knew she was being a nuisance It is rather rude of me to be following him.... She smiled. But then again... he never did tell me his name she countered, ignoring the protesting bump in her head.
