(OOC) Invite only, just until the first few posts are down. After that, we'll have a lycan party! Thank you.^^
(BIC) Sam Nanten was excedingly studious after his last failure at the vampire caves. No matter how well laid the plan was, there were just too many unforseen elements that contributed to his failure.
He engrossed himself in his books at the library of all the mystical monsters on campus. This time around, his main area of study focused on the lycans. It seemed that a long while back, there was some sort of conflict between the ranks of the tribe, and they went their separate ways, half staying in the caves and the other half migrating to the forest. From there, they expanded their kind by siring other students and adding to their ranks.
The forest was completely out of the question, as the forest lycans were only a small percentage of the many evils that lurked inside, and there was no real way to navigate it. Whereas the caves, he had become more accostomed to an atmosphere like that from his prior experience, so his seemingly clouded logic led him to their caves one night.
~//~
Sam had evesdropped on the lycans for some time, listening in on social events and other gatherings where they might have left the caves or at least be gathered close together. If there were no lookouts to worry about, than his job would be less than jake. And another element that could add an edge to his operation were the supposed treasures the lycans guarded, a prized set of silver katanas. Why they would bother guarding such malignant objects was beyond his intuition to grasp, but it mattered little to him when he knew he had an ace up his sleeve.
Sam waited for the mass of lycans to confer in the major den area for their evening meal. There was the faint chance that one might catch him, but he overlooked it as the smell of raw meat being torn was quite prevailant.
~//~
..."Amazing." Sam whispered as he peered upon the glowing swords, resting on their pedestals. He had extensive knowledge of how werewolves and lycans were allergic to radiation from the sun, and even from metal like silver. He was not the violent type, but it would certainly serve handy in case of a sticky situation.....
Sam the grinned to himself, in partial satisfaction. His eyes adjusted to the dark, and he sped off to hide.

A long night, that’s what it was. A long night. It was deep into the depths before Sealla got back from her bathing, about 2am if she was counting. After she had made her way down the main entrance tunnel, a mortal scent wafted past her black, wet button nose. It was a human. A male to be exact, and from the smell of him, he hadn’t left their home. He must have been hidden around a corner of the main den.
Stepping down from the little ledge of the main tunnel to the main chamber, a bone-shaking growl was echoed from her throat. She was a little surprised one of the other Lycans hadn’t picked him out yet. Nevertheless, she let out a warning snarl, her beautiful set of white canines on show in the candlelight. What was the human doing there? I advise you come out before I hunt you down… human… her cold voice called into his mind. If her senses weren’t faltering, then he would have heard the warning from both his ears and his mind.
He didn’t budge. Her claws clicked on the ground as she slowly padded through the chamber, searching around the armchairs, through some open den doors – and closed ones, and in shaded corners. Just above the fireplace was a glass cabinet. The swords were still safely tucked away in their cases.
Sealla snarled once more, If you come out now, I may spare your life… she warned, stopping in front of the fireplace

Eh? The lycans speak telepathically? Fascinating. he observed quietly to himself from the shadows. He had to keep a cool head, if he wanted this to work.
"No miss, I don't think I'll be surrendering quietly." said Sam from his hiding spot. He was not neccissarily hiding in the shadows. Oh no, this was a game of hide and seek, and it was a case of outwitting the wolves if he wished to leave in one piece, and wealthier.
He chose this blindspot behind the chimney carefully, and projected his voice just clearly enough that his voice would not seem that it was coming from any particular direction. And also, it seemed that there were several shimmering objects, glinting in the crackling fire in several choice spots in the room. And they were the same objects that Sam held in his hand- a flashbang. He placed approxamately fourteen light explosives all around, all to wait until his lucky victim stepped where he needed her to be. And sure enough, the sound of his voice startled her.
Sam quickly slided the flat textured bomb to the lycan's paws, and the disturbance caused several other nearby bombs in the corner of her eyes to go off in several flashes of light. Needless to say, the lycan was just stunned enough for him to make his move.
Sam then sprang from his hiding place and took the blades. He then held them at a parallel angle as he ran by the ailing lycan and scratched her, ever so slightly. He had no wish to inflect any real harm on her, but he definitely would need to keep her off his case long enough to cause the neccissary confusion needed to plunder any other valuables and escape.
"Tag!" he yelled playfully as he gently sliced her along the shoulders, allowing her to pull back. Picking up his remaining flashbangs, he then made a mad dash into a nearby empty room to set another trap and await any others. This was quickly going to turn from a game of hide-and-seek to tag.

His voice… it lead her nowhere… and everywhere. Though she didn’t fully rely on any sense thankfully. His scent was quite strong as to where he was, but it only became apparent when the fire began to die down. But before she could turn around to pick up the stronger scent, many little flashes of light exploded before her eyes. She jumped a little, and landed in a defensive stance as little bubbles popped in front of her. After a second of confusion, a deep slice was cut into her shoulder, causing her leg to shake from pain.
He’s got the Katanas she thought whilst trying to figure out as to where he scooted off to.
But the scent was oddly familiar, and it lead her to Amelia and Kage’s open den. Quick as lightning, she dashed through the door and pounced hard onto the boy’s back as he tried to make a hiding spot of a separate room. They landed with a thud on the ground, her standing atop of him, pinning him easily to the ground.
Her breathing quickened from the silver in her blood, but she could survive. It was only a little scratch. With her dainty golden ring on her left paw, those claws dug deeply into the side of his face, causing alluring crimson liquid to pool beside him. Stupid move, boy. But before she made any more moves, a flash of a memory showed her the key to where he was from.
It was in the snow-capped mountains. He was there, exploring, and so was she. Slowly after he spoke to her, Patrick approached, as did another human girl. You! she shrieked. Do you not remember me, boy? The black wolf from the mountain? in case he had forgotten, the Beta showed him an image of her on a rock, slightly covered in snow, with the boy a few metres in front of her. Now do I look familiar? Not that you can see me right now.
Due to her tackle, the sword was embedded in the mattress that the couple used to sleep on, far from arm’s reach. Her toes curled, digging her claws deeper into his face. The boy cried out in pain as his head and body was pinned to the ground. But her body began to shake lightly, only noticeable to her. Thanks to the silver in her.

This was not good. While it did seem reminescient to peer at such calming memories, those did not do him any good right now. Her claws were prying deeper into his face with each passing second. He let out a frustrated cry as her paw knocked his glasses from his face. Fortunately, she had only knocked one of the swords away from him. the other was hidden underneath him from the impact, and he thanked his lucky stars that it did not skewer him. It was time to use it now, before she began to dismember him. If only he could move.....
But lo, her body began to shake. It was not the shaking that he detected though, but the weight of her body on him seemed somewhat less demanding. Pushing both himself and the lycan off him in an acrobatic and adrenaletic push up, he took the blade and held it upside down, holding the blade outward from his wrist. Sam then rolled over on top of her, pressing the blade against her neck. Just because Sam held nothing but contempt for people who killed while on the job, did not mean he was not theoretically capable of doing so. And he was fairly skilled with blades. The slightest pressure could mean a mortal wound for this beautiful black lycan. While keeping her secured on the floor, he kept his eyes peeled on the entrance to make sure no other lycans approached.
A faint glint caught his attention though, the source shining from one of the female lycan's paws. He was surprised to see a ring securely worn on her finger. He thought that she would probably struggle if he tried to remove the ring itself, so he rubbed his fingers and nails gently against the top, removing about three of the jewels inside. He pocketed them in his pants, and resumed his diligent stare of the doorway.

(OOC) *Caughs* Yes, of course its okay to join in now. But, if its alright with you, I humbly request you at least fix the beginning of that post. In fact, if the beginning doesn't seem right, I'm not sure how the rest could be either. I made it so that Sam would not be so easily dropped in on like you just did. He was facing the doorway of the room, presumably the only way in or out. I'm surprised you would act so reckless when someone you care for is being held hostage. And for the record, It is not my intent to piss anyone off. I don't know how I could, as I've been far more gentle with Sealla than she has with me. I'm just out to make an intersting thread different from that of the humdrum life of everyone around here. I am not so arrogant as to take anyone's lives in their own home, so all I ask is that we RP in good spirit. Also, I would like to be given the benefit of the doubt for the effort I put in this. Its not like I'm one of those students that came in the past just to die or make people mad. *Exhales* Okay, I think I'm done. I'll just wait for your reply before I continue.

OOC: *sighs* I'm just gonna wait for Sealla to reply. We need an outside opinion here.
EDIT: I just deleted the whole post so that there's no confusion on anyone else's part. I'll reply where we are now.

(ooc: ok. I read up on Sam’s thieving thread in the Vampire Caves, and asked if he wanted to make one in the Tunnels. Thus, a thread was born. I like how this is going, but Xavier, hun, I don’t think it would be that easy to rid him of his hostage, along with neautralizing the silver in her blood. I’m sorry, but if you don’t mind modifying your post, I will reply. And just to let anyone know who is reading this, Sam isn’t just some newbie. He’s been on MH and Harry Fortress longer than I. *waits to reply IC* *hugs Xavier*)

"Well, isnt this an odd moment."
The feel of cold, razor sharp steel kissed Sam's throat as a hooked dagger slipped about his neck, the curve fitting his neck almost perfectly as an arm pressed securely against the back of Sam's neck, preventing him from jerking his head in defense. Kage stood over the boy, dagger to his throat. He had, as it were, not come through the door, but instead used his shadowwalking abilities to enter the only other way possible: through the walls.
"Now, something is going to hit the floor. You have two choices: The blades, or your head." Kage whispered, his mouth almost next to Sam's ear. As he spoke, odorless black smoke seemed to waft up in Sam's face, as if a fire had gone off at his feet, yet no heat was evident.

Sam froze, and he rose as the new assailant directed him. The air had grown heavy, and somehow a strange black fog was gathering at his upper body from what seemed to be his feet.
"Well....this is, uncomfortable." Sam stammered as he obediantly tossed the blade to the side without making any motions to large that would startle the one behind him. Sam's chocolate brown eyes glanced down, without lowering his head. That was quite a blade indeed. And in the blade's glimmering reflection, he saw something.......and it gave him an idea that was just crazy enough to work.
"Say friend," he whispered over his shoulder.
"Before anything else happens, tell me, do you enjoy fishing?" he inquired, sensing that the bearer of this blade was taken aback somewhat by such an obscure question. "Its just that your blade seems suited for cleaning fish. I was just wandering." Sam paused, awaiting his response.

Kage chuckled, before pressing his forearm against the back of Sam's neck more firmly, actually pressing his skin against the sharp blade. A droplet of blood beaded along the length of glimmering steel, dropping quietly to the stone floor.
"Not exactly, I have a better question, do you enjoy the Fourth of July?"
One of Sam's rather amusing light grenades was abruptly floating in front of the would-be thief's eyes, borne upon the same tendrils of black fog.
"I found this interesting little number on the floor over there, and, unless im mistaken, which I am not, my magic is the only thing keeping that sucker from blinding you, so no monkey business, boy. I recommend you give me a reason that you should live, before you lose something." Kage said in his same, eerily calm tone. As he spoke, tendrils of the blackened fog crept along the floor to the entryway, rising to create a door of opaque shadow. The boy, even if he escaped Kage's grasp, would not be able to leave the chamber.

As the lycan had his laughs about the situation, Sam still remained silent. Whilst Kage took his time with his words and parlor tricks, Sam busied himself with turning one of them against this lycan.
Sam watched for the shapeless wisps of dark fog to go past his shoulders, so the lycan would not see his handiwork. The object Sam saw reflected in the knife was a wire, much like a fishing line, but metalic and far more dense. It was a grappling hook, which he used on many an occasion. Using his teeth, he pulled it from his jacket pocket and looped it around the blade. He then gripped the head of the grappling hook and the base of the wire from his pocket and twisted it around. By the time Sam completed this swift motion, he was already several feet in front of and facing the lycan with the wire stretched in both directions, and the knife fell to the floor across the room. Next, he promptly flung the wire at the lycan, the weight of the head of the hook striking him full in the throat. The hook then caught to the lycan's shirt, and Sam yanked him face-first to the ground. The suspended bomb then fell to the ground and fizzled out, a dud. Sam sighed in partial relief, then proceeded to secure the lycan's arms tightly from behind. Sam also frisked him for any other 'toys' he had on hand, and made a note to ditch them as soon as he could make his break for freedom.
Merely a few seconds after he had broken from the lycan's grip, but he was still at a loss as to how he should escape this conundrum. At least, for about a split second anyway. He tilted his head lazily in the direction of the female lycan, still limp and panting on the floor.
"I bet you feel pretty dumb about locking me in this room while your friend still lies ailing. You never even asked her if she was alright." he tsked with disapointment in this lycan's surprising ability to neglect his own companions in light of his agenda for showing off.
Sam then safeguarded the swords and hook knife that lied here and there and walked rather precariously to the restrained lycan. While the wire was still stretched in his hands, Sam ran a few lines around the wolf's throat with a silver katana, a fitting bit of treatment from what Sam recieved earlier. He somehow had a feeling that this lycan was not born with such powers or bloodlines, and he now probably cursed this natural weakness that he was soon to feel rushing through his veins.
Sam then held both the swords to the lycaness's throat in a scissor-like fashion. They appeared to be pressed to her just as harshly as Kage had done with the knife to Sam's throat, but he had the blades slanted ever so slightly so that she could not really feel it.
"Now, as unique as your abilities are, there is still only one of you. I sincerely doubt that there are anymore of whom share your abilities, so I suggest you cut the monkey business out, open the door and let me pass. Otherwise, you'll find your friend here most displeased." he stated coldly, and slightly short of breath. Sam's eyes were peeled for any obscure movements in the room, as this lycan seemed to be able to manipulate shadows. Well, Sam stood poised, ready for any surprise he had in store. Even if he tried to use his bombs against him again and escape with the female only to imprison him, Sam would already be well out of the room in during the confusion.
Though the lycan would not know it, Sam honestly had more of a heart than to do something so terrible to the female. However, he had no compunctions about giving the female lycan a few more scratches, and from the shape she was in, she honestly did not need anymore exposure to these cruel blades tonight.

Xavier had been asleep in the neighboring chamber as the commotion reached its climax. Alarmed, he quickly dressed and walked out of the den, turning towards the entrance to the Tunnels. As he looked to his left, he saw the abnormal black shadow blocking the doorway.
"Kage...what's going on?" he whispered to himself. Xavier closed his eyes and tried to sense what was going on inside, willing to take the risk of intruding on Kage and Amelia. Something didn't feel right. There was...a strange scent...inside the room. It was...human.
"Crap!" Xavier shouted. He ran back into his den and threw open the door to his storage space, grabbing his old dueling gloves and his personal Katana that he had bought in Hogsmeade a while back. Xavier ran back out and unsheathed the sword, slicing cleanly through the shadow door and leaping into the room, ready to fight. He noticed Kage on the ground and...a strange boy...standing over...Sealla...with the silver Katanas that the clan held so sacred.
Not good...definitely NOT good, Xavier thought to himself. He spoke to the human that stood over Sealla.
"Oi! You! Get those things away from my fiancee's neck or I'll have your head on a silver platter for breakfast!"
Xavier took a few steps forward and held his katana at a defensive angle. He needed to make sure that the boy didn't surprise him. He spoke to Sealla.
"Sealla? Darling can you hear me? Are you alright?"

OOC: *stunned applause* damn, even I wouldnt have seen that coming.
BIC:
"Tricky one, you are." Kage said, voice muffled as his face was pressed into the floor. Wisps of the black fog gathered around his arms, and they abruptly spread, his arms moving smoothly through the wire as if they were no longer truly there, which, in fact, they werent.
He rose to his feet in a single smooth motion, calmly watching the boy stand over Sealla, acting as if he would have no misgivings about slicing her head off. Kage simply frowned as he walked calmly forward. With each step, his hands made complex weaving motions, as if conducting an invisible orchestra while silmultaneously playing a harp. With each movement, more black fog rolled from his fingertips, the majority of it simply falling to the floor and spreading out like a puddle of black water that gradually engulfed the entire chamber floor.
"Oh, I know you scratched with that. However, there was an, ah, episode recently where I had to purify her blood and the blood of another Lycan from heavy silver dosages. Not to devalue her life any, for although is close to my heart...she can wait, and you, frankly, can die."
Kage made a symbol with the fingers of one hand, a signal so complex that it appeared that the number of joints in his digits had doubled somehow, Substitution.
Suddenly, the black fog pooling about the floor seemed to convulse, and abruptly, Kage was in Sealla's place, Sealla in Kage's. However, somewhere along the line, Kage had acquired a pair of wakizashi, which he now held perfectly vertical, preventing the katana's from closing upon his neck.
"Now dont you just feel dumb." Kage mimicked, before kneeing Sam sharply in the groin.

(OOC) >_- Ouch, and the ref takes a point away! Oh, and if I was unable to slice through the silly barrier, I don't see any reason why he could. *Shrugs* But, the door is open.
(BIC) Sam, as guys typically do when they are hit so indiscriminately in that spot, cringed in breathless pain. As luck would have it though, today he decided to wear a protective cup. However, the scenario had changed drastically within those next few seconds, with the female lycan's significant other making his dramatic appearance. Grace had a way of presenting its opportunities though, even in the darkest of moments.
"Well, I suppose I do feel pretty dumb." he conceded as he leaned closer to the kneeling lycan.
"However, I really feel I have outstayed my welcome. Toodles!" he exclaimed as he took out about three more flashbangs, more than enough to cause everyone in that area to be seeing spots for days, and slammed them into the ground as he lept over the lycans on the floor. In the same feat, he brushed past the one at the entrance as he rolled underneath his legs in the same motion, and he sped out the room in full sprint with the swords in hand.
Sam was grateful that he took the most direct route through the caves. He had really spent far too much time here, and it was prudent that he dismiss himself as soon as possible. With a few twists and turns, he sprinted as hard as he could to the entrance, which loomed before him.
