Rikka’s reaction was similar to Talon’s. At one of the lowest points in her life, this girl had been everything to her. Rikka took deep, loud breath, “Darling, wake up.” She got increasingly louder, “Childe, please. Please. For me. Open your eyes, Child.” Hayzie’s eyes however, did not open. Her chest did not continue to lift. Rikka had taken the life from enough people to know that Hayzie’s was true gone.
In a moment of pure pain she let out an inhuman screech, and her polite silent tears became unseemly sobs. She began to shake her, “Child, Child? Hayzie!” She turned to the other in the room, her voice breaking with pain, “Help her! Oh God. Someone? Please? Don’t let her die!”
It was too late even for Rikka to return the girl to what she had taken the poison to escape. She had wanted to do it, but how could she? This is what she had tried so desperately to escape. Her daughter was dead and it was all her fault, again.
The tears flowed free as she turned to the others in the room, offering her last desperate plea, “Please, someone, make her better.”

Kiki almost stopped breathing as the lights exploded. She knew before then, the look on Talon's face, plus the affection that Rikka had shown [Buckbeak] Hayzie in the moments before hand had turned her insides to ice. She almost wanted to throw up, the feeling of guilt consuming her - she knew that this was almost entirely her fault. She stepped backward involuntarily when a little voice echoed Carrie's previous words in her mind.
'If we found a way to turn back time, within the next few minutes or so, and then if the potion was remade, and taken again... surely that would work, right? I mean... it would cancel it out?' Would it? It was crazy enough to work. Kiki knew that the Department of Mysteries had several in an unmarked door and she knew that she had enough authority to obtain one or two. Her eyes drifted to Hayzie, her heart now thumping excitedly in her chest. Surely this wasn't supposed to happen? It had to be Fate that guided Kiki to coming up with an adequate solution. Smiling slightly now, she looked at the room around her and wondered who would be best to take. She walked over to Adhara and gestured with her head to walk to the back of the room. Kiki then walked over to Talon and laid a gentle hand on his shoulder, whispering an apology that she had to take him away from Hayzie's lifeless body.
Nausea threatened to overtake Kiki again but she remained firm that she would at least give the pair the bare bones of her plan. She knew that it was fickle to trust to hope but there was already a warmth in her stomach.
"I have a way to save her." Kiki whispered. "Time Turners. We simply go back in time and watch for the part where Hayzie fails with the potion and fix it for her." She looked from one to the other, her violet eyes wanting to know what each thought of the plan.

ooc: Okay... I'm sorry, guys, but I'ma disappearing to uni on Sunday, and I don't know if this thread's going to get finished otherwise, so..... kick me?
bic: It had only taken Hayzie a few steps to realise what had happened. The bright white surrounding her had been clouds, not a different room in St. Mungo's. "Whoa.." she whispered, her almost silent voice echoing around her as she knelt down and touched the floor. It was harder than she had expected it to be, but a voice from somewhere in front of her caused the blonde girl to look up.
It was calling her name, slowly, quietly, and yet it made her feel at peace, as though nothing could go wrong. A feeling the Prefect hadn't known for quite some time. Returning to a standing position, Hayz followed to sound until she reached an arch. Underneath, stood a male with bright white wings tinted with gold at the tips. Brown hair fell into eyes which looked almost amused with the situation, as though he had known for a long time it was coming, and had been waiting around for ages.
It turned out he had.
"It amazes me it's taken you this long to get here. I was sure you would have found us a year ago," he joked, shaking his head. Hayzie's own eyes were a mixture of confusion and panic. She was... dead? 'That wasn't supposed to happen...' Hayzie thought to herself, suddenly shuffling her feet against the ground, a trait for which she was well known. Taking her silence as realisation, the male continued.
"Usually, I'm not one to cheat with death. Usually, I allow people to pass through these gates and not look back," he explained, raising a brow. "And I know, as your Guardian Angel, just how many times you've narrowly missed your lift up here, anyway."
A sheepish smile mixed with despair seemed to cross Hayz's face. What he had said was true, how many times had she managed to just squeeze out of awkward situations? Though her thoughts were broken through by a hole opening in the ground looking back into St. Mungo's. Adhara, Talon and Kiki were in one corner, Rikka still stood behind the bed, Carrie looked as though she had no idea what to do, and Artemis was still outside from what she could see.
"They're trying to bring you back," the Angel explained, closing up the hole again. "But I'm going to give you the choice now. You've helped so many people in the past, and I think it's about time we helped you help yourself. The quaffle is in your hands. Do you wish to go back?"
How many times before had she been asked if she wanted to cross over into the land of the dead? Daily death threats off Rikka had surely reserved her a space in the heavens... or hell. Whichever way she ended up going. And yet here she was now, her Guardian Angel asking if she wanted to go back to finish her story, to continue on past the final chapter and finish off what she had set out to do.
A single nod was the answer. Hayzie did want to go back. She wanted to see her friends again, to drink another Butterbeer with Laura in the Three Broomsticks, go and see her friends in the Tunnels, cause a bit more havoc around the school... and get her NEWTS out of the way, of course.
"I want to go back," she explained, glancing down at the floor where the hole had been only moments before. A quick smile and a nod was the only reply off the Angel before the floor opened once more under her feet, and she began her descent back down to Earth.
Back in St. Mungo's, a bit of colour seemed to return to the usually rosy cheeks that Hayzie sported, as her body began trying to get rid of whatever it was that had caused the momentary disruption in services. It was a good thirty seconds however, before her conscience began to feel anything, before she could see the light filtering back in, dimmed dramatically by her eyelids which still remained closed.
A tiny smile flickered across her face as green orbs made themselves seen once more as her eyes flickered open. Hayz had to blink a few times to readjust to the light, before she asked quietly: "What're you all doing here?"

Ooc: Tee hee hee, that’s fabulous! I am suitably amused with this ending.
Bic: With an inhuman sound of relief, Rikka fell to her knees to the side of Hayzie’s bed. Tears marred her face, as Rikka took deep, shuddering breaths. “Thank you, God. Oh, thank you, thank you,” She whispered over and over again. Her sapphire eyes clouded with tears as she watched Hayzie’s smile.
“You are the most infuriating person I have ever met, child.” Rikka finally spoke, her voice dead from exhaustion. A soft smile crept across Rikka’s face. She took a deep breath and lifted herself up and took a step away. This was not a place she should be. She did not belong with this clique. ”You’ve done it, child.”
Rikka nodded a nod of love and respect. Then she turned her back to Hayzie, pausing for a moment to try and stop her tears. She could not continue to harm this girl’s life, though she could hardly bare to walk away. She began to walk slowly to the door.

Ooc: Thought you might like it Just goes to show how much I listen to ‘public demand’. Bic: And that was that… she was leaving, again. Hayzie’s smile instantly faded as Rikka began to walk to the door. Why did she want to go? Why did she want to leave her once again. Back when she had departed for the first time, left the forest for somewhere else, Hayz had tried to stop her. She had been younger back then, albeit not by much, but yet it seemed she had seen a lot in the previous six months since she had last met her Lycan mother. Sitting up haphazardly on the bed, crumpling the cushions behind her, the blonde’s eyes opened further, conveying a sense of almost disbelief. “Rikka…” she called quietly, hoping to stop the woman in her tracks. Before she reached the door, the Prefect looked back down at her knees. A lot of good they did usually, but looking at them did her some good. It distracted her from what she was about to do, anyway. “Please don’t go.”
