Pika walked silently to a small bushel of trees in the realm of the faeries. It was a Saturday and she had decided to spend it, praying for a blessing to all the people in Magic Horizons School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. It was early morning, just when the sun was starting to rise, spreading beautiful rays of reds, oranges, purples and yellows across the midnight blue sky.
She kneeled in front of the trees and bowed respectfully. She always loved the trees. They spoke to her. Most of the time.
Good morning, lovely goddesses. I just wanted to visit your beautiful realm and ask for a small blessing. If it is too much to ask, please spread warmth and happiness to the new students. Make them feel proud of themselves and make them happy. That's all I ask. Just a little more of sunshine in our school. Thank you...
Pika felt her heart ache as she murmured the last few words in her head. She knew what it was like to be unwelcomed by everyone and she hoped from the bottom of her heart that no one else had to experience the sadness from being unwelcome and alone.
Just some happiness for them. Please? Thank you.
She smiled at the grove of trees and placed her hand on one of them. The branches swayed and played a beautiful melody with it's leaves.
You trees are so beautiful. Pika smiled quietly and gently slid her hand off of the trees' trunk. The tree swayed happily in acknowledgement.
After the red-eyed girl had left, a bounce of light flew around the trees and giggled softly, dissappearing in a sparkle of light.

Why should we grant your wish? What makes you think those students are worthy and deserving? a silent voice called in the depths of her mind.
Moments later a young faerie stepped out of the shadows of the trees. She wore a dark blue figure skating dress, it had little silver stars all over and long sleeves that flared at the wrists. Her legs were bare, she had strapped on knee high boots of a dark blue.
Tattered wings spread wide, they were of a dark black that faded into a navy color and was a frosted blue at the tips. Running a hand through her long hair, she stared at the girl with teal coloured eyes.

Sylph wandered the grounds of Magical Horizons, strolling around with her hands in her back pockets, looking around at the trees and the sky. Suddenly, she became aware of an enhanced tingling sensation in the air around her. She stopped, her green eyes scanning her surroundings. She could sense a great deal of natural magic in the air. Green magic, she thought to herself. Her grandmother had always called it Earth Magick. It was apt. It was as if the very trees and earth and air were all breathing as one. Then she realised where she must be. This was the faerie realm, it had to be. Sylph immediately knelt down and placed her hands on the green earth before her, sending a silent greeting to the creatures and plants. Then she stood, and looked around her once more. Spring was certainly starting to show itself. The trees that had been bare all winter were showing signs of new growth, the grass was starting to grow green again, and there were even little patches of spring flowers dotted around, crocuses and daffodils leaning their heads towards the newly-risen sun. "Nature's first green is gold" Sylph murmured to herself, smiling slightly. She loved Springtime. Just then she noticed a girl, no, wait, this girl had wings. She wore a dark blue figure skating dress, it had little silver stars all over and long sleeves that flared at the wrists. It was a faerie, the first that Sylph had seen here at Magical Horizons. She smiled respectfully at the young faye, waiting politely for her to make the first move.

Sensing a familiar presence, Pika turned in the direction of her friend. "Sylph!" She blinked in surprise, and then smiled, "Isn't this place lovely? The trees are so beautiful! They're glowing warmly. Someone must've been taking good care of them."
She returned to the eerily beautiful faerie. Pika gazed into the faerie's teal colored eyes with her red ones. She bowed in respect and answered her.
"I'm not asking you to grant my wish. I just hope that I can gain your help in spreading happiness to the new students. They might not all deserve it but most of them do. Besides, half of them don't know anything about the rules of MH when they first come. The first time I came to the school, I felt confused, lonely. I had no idea of where to go or who to turn to...and I've fallen into trouble by doing so..." She trailed off.

Sylph smiled at her friend. "Hey Pika" she replied softly as the red-haired girl greeted her, and nodded to her comment about the trees. Sylph could feel them too, their barks were old, their roots deep. Sylph looked around the glade whilst Pika spoke to the faerie of her wish, but turned when Pika mentioned getting in trouble, a wry smile playing on her lips. "Trouble, huh?" she raised a questioning brow, but still she smiled. "What've you been up to? Not been wandering into the forbidden forest as well, have you? My friend Aidana went in there - she's still in the hospital wing in fact." Sylph turned back to the ice-skater fay, taking in her black tattered, but still eerily beautiful, wings. "I'm Sylph" she said to the faerie. "What's your name? Is it ok for us to be here?" Sylph didn't want to leave the realm just yet, it was too peaceful and pleasant here, but she wanted to show the faerie respect by asking her permission.

The giggle and glitter of light the young Gryffindor student had stolen a glance at earlier was Lolitta, another faerie who called this realm home sweet home. The tiny faerie darted between the trees, each tree mimicked it's neighbour by swaying, making it a game for the faerie to avoid their powerful branches.
Suddenly Lolitta spotted a dusky brown leaf up ahead and having taken too long to brake, she slammed straight into it, pulling it's stem off the branch and taking it along for the ride. Giggling crazily to herself she flipped herself up effortlessly onto the surface of the leaf and let it fly, using it as a kind of wind board.
It soared up higher than the students, then dipped below the other tree branches and zoomed towards the ground, caught under an air current. Noting the danger, Lolitta hopped off the leaf and plucked a large hibiscus petal from a plant nearby. Holding it high above her head she parachuted down to the ground slowly, landing at the feet of the two visiting students.
"Good morn' sweets." She twittered sweetly, letting go of the hibiscus petal as it's pink body flew up and away in the sky. Her diamondlike eyes shone widely in the sunlight, as did her glossy lips. She smiled an adorable smile, then clasped her hands behind her back and curtsied.
"As long as ye' aren't hurting nobody and ye' keep ye' fingertips to ye'self," Lolitta paused, taking in the details of the two, then shooting a simplistic look at the other faerie, whom she'd heard delivered a rather cold greeting. It suited her nonetheless. "Ye' welcome here." She finished with a speedy wink.

Sylph looked at the tiny fae in wonder. She was beautiful... so delicate and yet strong... Sylph loved her. She bowed her head deeply in respect.
"We don't mean any harm here," she said to the faerie. "I just wandered in here and was struck by its magic, and was hoping to stay a little longer. My name is Sylph, and this," she added, gesturing to the red-haired girl, "is Pika. What are you called?"

Lolitta twiddled her thumbs together at an incredible speed behind her back, though the others couldn't see it. The voices of humans always intrigued the little faerie, for she could never understand how their larynx was pitched so loud, but their expressions and smiles held whispers.
With a mere flicker of a grin, she swatted her shredded wings together and appeared at eye level on a branch beside the two students, all in a flash of gold. "Many of ye' find the magick amazin'." She assured the girl who'd spoken, "Home sweet home." She said in a sing-song voice, rocking back and forward on her heels once before standing still again, her hands still behind her back.
When Sylph asked for what Lolitta was called, the faerie hesitated, as though it were a grave affair. Some faerie's were under a curse from birth, if their full name was spoken, they could be enslaved by the speaker for three wishes, then they would perish if not respected afterwards. Lolitta was one of these faeries.
"Lolitta." She called once, and quickly. It was all she would say, and if they hadn't caught it, it was their loss, for she wouldn't say it again. Her crystal-blue eyes sparkled with secrecy, and warning. Lolitta reminded herself that the students had not yet done anything wrong, and so she blinked the look away and smiled a sugar-coated smile.

Sylph stared down at the little fae and smiled back, although not before noticing the knowing and slightly dangerous look that had come previously to the faerie's features. She ran over the rushed words of the faerie in her mind. Lol-i-ta? Was that it? Sylph tried it again. Lolitta. Yes, that was it. She bowed in greeting once more.
"Pleased to meet you, Lolitta," she said as she straightened, hoping that she'd pronounced the name correctly. "You're the first faerie I've spoken to, so I apologise if I seem a little awed. Maybe it's this place. You're lucky to call such a place your home... many humans would love to be able to do so. How long have you been here?"

Lolitta winked up at Sylph as she commented on being pleased to meet the faerie. She had indeed pronounced it right, and Lolitta was happy to hear that the student had caught her name at all. When she bowed, Lolitta twittered her wings slightly, not used to the overwhelming respect she was being shown.
Lolitta's sweet smile played expertly across her pink lips against as Sylph said she was the first faerie she'd spoken to and that she may be awed. She let her tiny toes walk off the branch and fell into a sitting position, placing her hands either side of her while her legs swung back and forward rhythmically.
"Two days and one." Lolitta answered, telling the student that she'd lived here for no more than three days all together.

Sylph blinked, slightly suprised.
"Only three days?" she asked quizzically, her features marred by a slight frown. "Where did you live before? And, I guess, how did you come to be here?"

Lolitta's shredded wings smacked each other behind her back and a blink crossed her little features. She clicked both fingers sharply and disappeared from sight, only to appear about a meter above her previous position, hovering on tattered, white wings in the air. The enchanted being tilted her head back at the student in her own quizzical motion.
Strangely, Lolitta's eyes seemed to flutter, she was blinking at the same speed she'd been twiddling her thumbs, crystal blue mixed with the pastel cream of her eyelids, confusing an onlooker. It was a good trick when being chased by something larger, almost always confused them enough for a getaway.
The small faerie darted forward suddenly, and bopped Sylph on the nose with her fist, which would have felt like a small nut falling on her nose. In short, Lolitta didn't hurt the student, perhaps just surprised her. Widening her crystal-blue eyes with huge lashes, she stared at each eye of the student before pushing off her nose and hovering back in the air.
"Ye' musn't be too nosey." She quipped comically, giggling quietly at her own pun. It wasn't that she was trying to be rude, Lolitta simply didn't like being asked so many questions, so she expressed this openly.

Pika smiled at the energetic faerie and waved when Sylph had introduced herself to...what was her name? Did Sylph say, Lolitta? Yes...that was it.
She watched as the faerie flittered around the trees, disappearing now and then. From Sylph and Lolitta's discussion, Pika had decided that Lolitta was much like herself when she got hyper and energetic. She wasn't right now, probably because she was in presence of the beautiful faerie wood (OOC: Actually...it's because I just woke up...*yawn*), but still...she and Lolitta had a few similarities.
"Only three days?" Pika heard Sylph ask quizzically, "Where did you live before? And, I guess, how did you come to be here?"
Pika blinked and pondered these questions, Hmm...I've never thought of those questions before. Usually, I don't care for where a person (or enchanted creature in this case...) used to live before. I only determine people from their personality and mannerisms. Pika shrugged, Ah well...if Lolitta tells us then I suppose that's okay. I guess...
Suddenly, the faerie appeared again and flew at Sylph, bopping her on the nose. Pika grinned and started chuckling quietly, her body shaking in laughter. I've never seen Sylph being hit before. It's kinda weird... Pika thought while trying to stiffle her laughs.
"Ye' musn't be too nosey." Lolitta giggled to them.
Pika smiled at what Lolitta said, Yeah...I don't like being asked too many questions myself. ^^

Lolitta heard what Pika was thinking but didn't say a word, she simply smiled sweetly at both students, then flew over to sit on the branch she'd been on before. Looking first to Pika, then to Sylph, then back to Pika, Lolitta blinked, blocking the sun from her crystal eyes for a moment. When she opened them again her smile had faded to a somewhat blank expression and she waited for Sylph's response.

OOC: dude, i completely forgot about this thread! Sorrys!! Ok, *reads thread* i think i remember...
IC: "Wasn't being nosey," Sylph said whilst rubbing her nose with one finger. "Just interested is all. I'm a very curious person if you must know." She cast a look at Pika, who seemed to be laughing at her. Sylph grinned and stopped rubbing her nose.
"Uh, you ok?" she asked, wondering at the faerie's blank expression. "Am I boring you now or something?"
