Rogue's weight definitely hindered the lad underneath her, and the lycaness noted the grief as he tried to lift himself to save the girl underneath him. Though it hadn't entirely been intentional, Rogue was silently impressed with herself at having made two captures with the one attack. Nevertheless, that was the least of her concerns at present. She drove a smile across her wolven form as he winced, which looked something like a beast in a horror movie, as lycan's couldn't smile all too well in their true form. He almost seemed to delay in answering her, as he commented on their names being no worth to her, when in fact, he was quite wrong. But she had her reasons, and her reasons would remain her own. Carmine liquid seeped out under the boy's wounds, and Rogue's lavender gaze shipped itself low to stare intently at the substance, every pulsing muscle in her instinctive form was on the brink of tearing into that flesh with saliva-dripping jaws. But alas, she was not one for ruining a treat, and these two, were indeed a treat. Forgoil Halifirien and Carmen Thompson. She repeated deaftly, still watching the blood ooze from his back. Although her thoughts seemed elsewhere for a good moment or two - which were crucial for this 'Carmen' - she was still very much alert and fixated on the two beneath her. His racing words made her ear fall flat back aaginst her skull once more, and a growl rose up in her throat again. How dare he compare her to just some animal that attacked others for satisfaction. But that's what she was, wasn't it? Oh no, she was much, much more.
"Those words may have spelt my sentence before it is even made, but at least I did something to help a friend before my end has come. So lady; what are you going to do with us now?" Rogue's tail swished side to side impatiently as she tumbled with her thoughts, her hard eyes solid on that growing pool of blood under her paws. There was an even greater puddle forming underneath Forgoil, from Carmen's wrist. Be thankful you have found at least one friend who you can risk your life for; your life which means so much because it wont last forever, Mr. Halifirien. She spoke back to him, this time her tone was calmer, and her weight on him released almost instantly, as she stepped back, getting off him. Go. And hurry. And with that, she sat back on her burnt haunches, like a ghost in the middle of the street, her double-edged gaze fixed on him with but an unlocked door to her soul behind it. For now, it was over.

However deaf or numb she happened to be, Carmen happened to notice that someone had come and shouted something out, and just after the girl had so limply fell to the floor in a heap, the same voice had come to scoop her up. She was limp, and barely alive, but the Australian still held, if only a little, onto her little friend's body. Heavily she lay in his arms as he carried her out of the little building. But the second he had landed atop her, crushing her to the ground, consciousness had drifted from her one-handed grasp. The girl had stopped breathing, blood seeping into her punctured lung. Time drifted by, and still she didn't wake. By now the she-wolf had clambered off the two students, but still Forgoil hadn't moved, and neither did she. Carmen was no longer breathing.

Forgoil couldn't help but let out a gasp as the lady retracted her claws from his back and soon got off of him. The grey-haired lad's eyes had started to water at this point from the combination of pain and pressure; he was mortal and could only take so much of a beating. The blood that leaked from his wounds on his back weakened him, and he barely had enough strength to get off of Carmen. Laying besides her, Forgoil noticed that something wasn't right with his Austrailian friend; she lacked the normal rise and fall of the chest and something of that magnitude required the quickest form of action possible.
Dragging himself so that he was over top Carmen, Forgoil lay his head on her chest to her if she was breathing or not. When it was clear that she wasn't; there was only one option left for him to take. Steadying himself, Forgoil was about to perform the one thing that he thought could save her when suddenly the memories that the two friends had spent together started to flash into his mind. Of when he first met the blue-haired wonder of a girl at that one party that Lottie threw; of the multple episodes of chaos that they had in the Common Room; the pillow fight and then the Astronomy Tower. So many times; so many memories and Forgoil wasn't one to let them so easily escape him.
"Carmen...", came Forgoil's ragged voice from the pain that he was experiencing, "You can't leave your friends behind like this; you can't leave us now not when we need you the most. Don't leave me Carmen; you have to hold on; please...I...I..." It was at that point that Forgoil could no longer deny something that he had tried to hide for too long. He knew it was bound to happen and yet he feared it's coming. The day when there would be two irreplacable people in his life and he would have to choose. He would rather be destroyed than be forced to upset one of the others in his descsion, but Carmen seemed to be dying...she had every right to know if this was to be her last moment on Earth.
"Carmen...I love you", that was Forgoil's tearful reply as he prepared himself for what was at hand. Pinching Carmen's nose, the scotish lad quickly pressed his lips against those of Carmen's and soon passed on the ambrosia of humans; in hopes that the air could rejuvenate her; in hopes that Carmen would come back for the Hufflepuffs; come back for him.

Pressure had been lifted from her little form as she lay on her side, her ribs no longer being crushed. But the pain, it was coming back. A tiny gasp of air reached her lungs as Forgoil climbed off her, returning her to a minimal state of consciousness; a state enough for her to feel the stabbing agony in her chest, along with her stump of a wrist. Her own blood mingled in contrastingly with her sprawled out hair in a pool around her, enough to make anyone flinch. But she didn't open her eyes. The girl didn't want to. It took too much energy from her leaking body. So instead she lay there, unmoving, her chest only taking in a breath every half a minute, not saying a word. But the voice, it spoke again. It was so familiar, someone she knew well. It was Forgoil. He had come to help her. An amazing thud of pain shot through her chest as her heart skipped a beat, making her flinch. "Carmen... You can't leave your friends behind like this; you can't leave us now not when we need you the most. Don't leave me Carmen; you have to hold on; please... I... I... Carmen...I love you" And lo'and behold it was returned. Before, however, the blue-haired girl could move or speak, Forgoil leant down over her. Increasing thuds rocked her bleeding chest, her heart beating faster and faster. His lips pressed against her, in what she thought to be a kiss. Her first kiss that saved her life, giving her the proper air to survive. What a wonderful feeling. Carmen broke off only a little, her blue eyes closed tight as her form shook with deadly coughs, forcing up gobs of blood from her flooding lungs. If she wasn't given help soon, she would die. But it didn't feel so bad, not now. She couldn't talk, still not enough energy. But a little fragment of a smile curled a corner of her lips.

As Forgoil slowly pulled up from his last-ditch attempt to save Carmen Thompson, one couldn't describe his immense relief and joy when she coughed and slowly resumed to breath. As blood from the coughs flecked his face, his shirt and his hair; all that Forgoil could do was smile to himself and on the inside it felt like his heart was about to fragment from all the joy it felt. Once more did Forgoil's eyes begin to water from the loss of blood that he was experiencing and from the pure happiness of this moment. His friend would be able to pull through if he hurried.
But there was something other than happiness that he felt. Despite the immense joy that came from this moment, the heart of Forgoil Halifirien was now one that was cursed; for now there were two that filled the void in his life and he could only have one of them. Realizing the situation that he had fallen into, Forgoil's tears dried as he tried to think of what was happening to him. But that was selfish of him, he needed to tend to Carmen first and since he wasn't too skilled with the works of healing; he would have to take her to the Hospital Wing with as much haste as possible.
His own wounds, both physical and mental, would have to wait. Gently cradling Carmen as if she were a china doll that could break if he were to drop her, Forgoil took one last look at the lady that had so violently mauled Carmen and assaulted him, and with a nod of thanks did he turn about and made his way to the Hospital Wing. Looking at the blue-haired wonder with his green-grey eyes, the scotish boy said, "Well; that was quite a scare that you gave me; just try not to do it again eh?"

Ooc: Aw, you two are adorable. I know this is deemed 'over', but I want to pop in one last time. I've been looking for a way to get into the castle, if you don't mind. Ic: Rogue watched the scene unfold with a gruesome emotion heavy on her chest. There was once a day when someone did that for her, once a day, so many, many days ago now. Her dappled eyes shone figuratively, an analytical stare studying Forgoil as he leant over Carmen and performed what could only be a blow of air to the fallen girl's lungs. The pale she-wolf continued to observe, letting the moments tick by as she objectively calculatedthe situation from an outsider's point of view. She raised her muzzle to the air and noted the whispy change of direction in the wind, it pressed easily on her back, almost urging her forward. She hesitated, but as the boy picked Carmen up, no doubt in pain from the wounds in his shoulders, the she-wolf leapt forward to the side of him. Raising her upper half to snatch his robe-sleeve in her jaws, she tugged gently, letting the body of the girl come toppling down softly onto the she-wolf's back. Manouvering her spine and haunches so the girl sat at the most comfortable position - for the both of them - Rogue looked up briefly at Forgoil and winked? I'll get her there quicker than you can manage. Follow us, I'll have someone ready to tend to you as well. And with that she raced off, blind and numb to the soaring pain of her own legs from the burns. The blur of white plumetted into the distance with uncountable seconds of speed, and in a surprising time, she had made it to the castle. Next destination: The Hospital Wing. Ooc: I'll make a new thread.
