Persephone walked through the graveyard. Her blonde hair danced about her small frame. Her emerald eyes read each name as she walked by. It's pretty cold tonight. Good thing I brought my cloak with me. Her false happiness disappeared as she found the grave she was looking for. The stone read: Diana DeVone. Mother we will miss you. Tears ran unchecked down Persephone's cheeks. She didn't even try to wipe them away. She placed a bouquet of white roses on her mother's tombstone. She wished someone was there with her. It would make her feel better. Not like I ever had anyone. After Mum died, I had no one. But that's the life of an orphan. Maybe I'll stay here with her a little longer

Forgoil didn't know why he had chosen to walk through the graveyard that night, but he would gain no solace from walking through; his parents were not buried here and he had no true memory of them. With the passing of every year, he grieved for them even more, mourning his family that he never knew.
He stopped in his tracks when he heard the muffled sounds of crying coming from a different part of the graveyard. As he silently walked closer, he saw Persephone, the girl he had met in the library. She was standing in front of a grave stone with the inscription: Diana DeVone.
This clearly was someone who Persephone cared for, and Forgoil began to walk up on her left and gently said,"It seems that I am not the only one who mourns here tonight. It is human to let out your grief and sorrow about this person's passing, but it's better to remember what it was like when she was alive. Who is it that you mourn?"

"My mother. She died when I was four. I don't remember much about her, and that's what makes it worse." She turned to face Forgoil. He had seemed nice then, and now she had even more respect for him. She could see in his eyes that he understood how she felt. It felt better to know that she wasn't alone this time. "People tell me that she was a great women, and that I look like her, but...I don't remember. Sometimes I dream about her, but that just makes me want to remember her more. Did you lose someone?"

"Well, I lost two people in my life, but from this I lost my whole family. It was my mother and father that who died when I was 2, and I had never met any of my relatives before then. I don't know if I have a grandfather, an aunt, a cousin; and if I did, why aren't they looking for me?" said Forgoil, with bitterness and anger lacing the last sentence. He knew it wasn't his relatives fault, but he didn't know where else to turn to in his despair.
He dropped to the ground and sat there, looking at the gravestones, and then back to Persephone.
"But I didn't come to talk of myself; I came to comfort you in your sorrow and agony. For I know all to well what happens when you don't talk about such things; they fester and broil; and no matter how hard you try to rid yourself of such pains, they will still remain," whispered Forgoil,"By perserving the few memories of your mother that you still have, you can still have the greatest picture ever; for in times of need or want, you can turn to this picture and find inner peace within its frame. But enough of this philosophical nonsense; what happened to the rest of your family? "

" I never knew my father. I think he died after my little sister was born. Sometimes I think I almost remember him. I have no living relatives other than my sisters. My twin and I are different, and we aren't that close. She's always been the brave one. The one all the guys like. She's in gryffindor. And then there's my little sister. She's in your house. She, well, she thinks of me as being her mother figure. She tells me everything, but since we're in different houses we're not that close. There are times when I'm all alone, that's why I come here. They don't, but then again, Allena doesn't remember my mother at all, and Ariadne trys hard to put that out of her mind." She looked down at Forgoil and sat by him. It felt nice to talk to someone. Especially someone who knew what she was going through. But even though, more silent tears streamed down her pale cheeks.

Upon hearing Persephone's renewed crying, Forgoil began to cry as well. Not as much for the sake of his dead parents whom he never really new; but rather for Persephone, who had also lost her parents, but had two living sisters; one who avoid her, and another who worshiped her.
Here Forgoil could not be much help, except for a shoulder to lean on since he never knew what it was like to have a brother or a sister.
"Take this,"said Forgoil as he handed her his handkerchief," I'm am so sorry to hear about your father. Perhaps you could tell me more about your sisters?"

Persephone took handkerchief with tremblinghands. She wiped her tears away. "My twin is named Ariadne. She's older than me, by a few minutes. She always is the first to do something. She never thinks twice about getting hurt. Guys think that she's gorgeous. She's had more boyfriends than there are days in a year! We fight a lot though. Sometimes we get along, but usually she pretends she doesn't know me, and I get the hint. Allena, or Al, thinks I'm the goddess I'm named after. I can't do anything wrong in front of her. I'm so afraid to show her I'm human. When I'm near her I can't cry, or be angry, or feel anything else. She thinks I'm so perfect. I don't want to tell her I'm not, she's gone through too much pain already." Persephone looked down at her hands. She wasn't sure she should be telling him all of this, but Forgoil was her friend. She trusted him with this.

As Persephone continued to wipe away her tears, Forgoil thought about what she said about her sisters. It must be difficult, having one who is as predictable as the wind, and having another who is completely dependent on her. He carefully worded his next thought show that it would make sense to her.
Forgoil gently whispered,"It seems that you focus too much on your twin in a way that makes you seem terrible. I think that not being afraid of receiving pain and being the first to do something aren't two traits that I would put in a person. And add desiring social acceptance to this already potent mix can lead to trouble. Besides, who says that you aren't beautiful?" At this Forgoil flashed a shy smile at Persephone.
"And as for your younger sister, you will have to tell her sometime that you aren't a God and aren't always perfect. You are just human; but now may not be the right time to tell her this," said Forgoil.
As Forgoil tried to stand, a dull pain ran through his legs as tired muscles silently complained. Once standing, he offered his hand to Persephone, saying,"It would seem that we have both suffered greatly in our lives and both have learned more about each other; perhaps now would be a time to leave this dismal place and again walk in the world of the light. "
(ooc: Please understand that Forgoil isn't trying to form a romantic relationship; he is just offering to help someone who is going through what he has already gone through)

OOC: That's ok. I wouldn't have taken it any other way. Sorry, I haven't posted, I went on vacation.
Persephone took the offered hand. She really did need to get away from the graveyard. It may even have done more good to walk around. "I think you're right about my sisters. My twin, she's always been so perfect. I just need to think of myself as a me, I guess. I'll tell my little sister someday though. Her blonde hair danced around her as the wind picked up.

Helping Persephone to her feet, Forgoil was glad that he had decided to visit the graveyard tonight. Not only did he help Persephone with her concerns, but he was also able to release some of the anger about his parents' death. As the wind began to violently swirl about them, Forgoil's over-coat began to billow open, letting the cold breezes of the night freeze him to the bone.
Turning to Persephone, Forgoil spoke in his calm, whisper, "I want to thank you, Persephone; being here tonight has really helped with getting over the deaths of my parents. I'm not sure if I can forgive them, but I will try; and for this I thank you again."
(ooc: Forgoil does a dance of joy at having written his 100th post)

(OOC: LOL) Persephone gave a water smile. "Sometimes talking helps. Especially when someone else knows how you feel. And thank you. I guess I needed someone to hear what I was saying, not just smile and nod their head." Her cloak swished around her small frame and she almost blew over.

Quickly, Forgoil dived to catch Persephone as she swayed dangerously in the wind, but she regained her balance and Forgoil fell with a crash near a headstone. Slowly rising to his feet, Forgoil brushed off the dirt that his clothes had acquired when he fell. Realizing how stupid he had just been, Forgoil let out a laugh that broke the silence of the night. It was odd to hear laughter come from such a lonesome place; this actually cheered Forgoil, hearing laughter replace weeping; seeing joy replace sadness. He looked over at Persephone who seemed to be smiling with him. With a gesture of his hand, Forgoil said,"Now we really must be leaving, for either the wind will freeze us, you'll fall over, or I will hurt myself trying to catch when you don't need catching."

Persephone laughed. It was a hearty laugh, not some fake giggling. "I fear you're right!" She smiled and walked over to Forgoil. Laughter danced in her now dry eyes. "Back to the castle then, or some where else?"

"Where ever you decide to go; go we shall. Whether it be the Castle, the Lake, Diagon Alley, to Tripoli; anywhere!," said Forgoil in a cheerful voice; however it died down with the thought of anywhere. "Just not here," whispered Forgoil.
Turning to Persephone, Forgoil asked,"So where is it that you wish to go?"

Persephone thought about the question. A small smile lit her face. "Care to go to Zonkos with me?" That should lighten the mood. Plus I need to pick up some things for class...
