And then she did. Though lazily, the dreary, scared blue eyes drifted open, not daring to glance over her fur to see the Lycanness who had addressed her. Such a giant split in what the woman had said only moments before. So large a difference. But what did it all mean? Was this night pointing to something? Some sort of direction? No one could ever know. Ever so silently, her sobs died down, eventually becoming lost in the abysse of time.
But still, she couldn't say a word. Neither telepathically, nor through speech. By now, the fires had fully subsided, and still the she-wolf shook in her ball-like mass of fur. Sealla couldn't even raise her voice to ask what the mother of hers meant by her opposing words. So different... Should Chailyn lash out again, Sealla wouldn't back down. Never. Though Chailyn had the upper hand of strength, Sealla would be a fair enough match, both metaphorically and physically.
Her fires would help if needed, but so far they'd been needed too much.
