Whistling a disgustingly joins tune the Vampiress strode through the dark forest. She remember how certain parts of the forest where as black as night in the day, she never sought to venture there in the night. They had been some of her favourite places, and now, governed by the rise and fall of the sun, she decided to take a “stroll down memory lane”. She paused in a clearing as she noticed a page caught under the edge of a rock, flapping in the breeze. It was degraded and dirty, but her attention was drawn not to the faint, almost invisible graphite lines, but to the inked insignia in the bottom. CR. She looked around the clearing slowly, pensively, critically. Yes it was. It was the very place in the forest she had seen her friends the last time as humans. Hayzie had been there, Laura hadn’t though. News in the caves was stagnant, she didn’t know them for alive or dead at the moment. She had seen Hayzie since, the human had beseeched her to leave the school alone, as much as can be called far, Sombre had. She wondered how the nosey little girl was doing nowadays without someone to offer her a detention daily. Probably much better, if her meddling hadn’t got her into something worse. ooc: Invite only thanks^^ if you desperately want one, IM me

Hayzie had once again taken to wondering, trying to avoid everyone she could in the forest. Lately, her social life had taken a definite drop and she was lucky if she saw one person in a whole day. Today though, her mind had most definitely been wondering back to before… before all of this happened. It could have been called nostalgic, but Hayz tried to shake the thoughts away as much as she could. It only hurt her to think about her friends. Lately, they hadn’t even tried to contact her. Maybe the forest was too threatening for them.
Lost in her thoughts, the blonde lycan stumbled across a familiar clearing. Of course, she knew why it was familiar. It was the same one she had seen Sombre in last. Something caught her newly sharp hearing. An almost cheerful whistle. One which was not unknown to her.
Following the noise, Hayzie caught sight of a girl. “Cara?” she asked quietly, addressing the girl by her original identity. “Wh… I mean…” turning, she shook her head and once again headed out of the clearing. Facing the girl was the last thing she wanted to do at the moment.

“Miss Roberts,” Sombre’s tone stiffened immediately. Although she had let her thought wander to the girl she didn’t consider actually meeting her. “A strange meeting indeed, a tad to much... what’s the word... Déja vu, wouldn’t you agree?” Sombre had to admit the girl didn’t look well. She couldn’t help to wonder at the reason as to why the girl was walking so late and in such a dangerous area. Hayzie had scolded Cara a few time about wandering the forest.
Sombre’s sight covered the girl quickly, she seemed unarmed. A very very stupid mistake, someting was definitely wrong. Why was the girl so unclean? ‘Something’s amiss, stay alert,’ she told herself.
“A little late to be a-wandering in a “forbidden” forest hey? I though we would have learned from past mistakes,” Sombre referred only to her own siring because she knew nothing of the recent changes in her ld friend. The forest was most probably the safest place for ‘Miss Roberts’.

Hayzie instantly stopped and drew a deep breath. “Drop it,” she said quietly, her tone turned all of a sudden cold. Ever since her siring, Cara hadn’t exactly been the friendliest person, and she was most definitely the last one she wanted to find out about her own sudden change.
She considered stopping and talking to her old friend for a while, but decided instead to leave and forget this meeting had ever happened, so she began to step out of the clearing and back into the trees.

Sombre spun, running quickly, with a leep of effort she blocked Hayzie’s path. She cocked her head, scrutinizing the girl furthur. Sombre learned cloeser to the gril. She could smell her blood. Thick red and... tainted. Sombre leant back, taking a step away from her friend. “Changes... it seems,” Sombre said softly, and not unkindly, “Happen to the best of us.”
Sombre hadn’t expected anything of her night, but had gained much and the night was still young. “Hayzie I... “ It was the first time Sombre had said the girls name with that tone. It was Cara, after, Sombre and Cara were one, sometime it was just hard to see.
“When? How and why?” Sombre asked, her tone slightly unsettled. She had never like Lycans, ever.

Hayzie was about to start walking in a different direction when Cara blocked her path, but as she leant closer, the blonde girl thought better of it. Maybe it was best just to hear her out. But now, she knew. The vampiress knew what had happened, but she didn’t know the details. She didn’t need to know. Cara would only laugh and sneer at her anyway.
“It doesn’t matter,” Hayzie mumbled, taking a step away from the red headed girl and not even bothering to look at her. Despite the fact she seemed… different tonight, the Lycan girl still wasn’t exactly overly warm to her.

Sombre laughed softly, “who have you been annoying today?” She shook her head, the girl was incorrigible. The rate trouble chased her anyone would think an ominous power was out to get her.
“I guess I owe you a welcome to the realm of the immortal. I doubt your bite was acquired from Elder Chaylin, maybe Morgana? The place seems to be crawling with them.” It was quite obvious the girl and immortally were il suited, but it was more something grew accustom too. Sombre would mush rather be a night walker as opposed to a dog.
Sombre found her self short of words without insults. Lycans, no matter how new at their pos, we a threat. The threat equal Sombre’s own, but the girl didn’t like being threatened, how ever no intended

"Look, I told you. Just drop it, okay?" Hayz answered, the only reply she could think of, a repetition of what she had said before. "You don't need to know. And even if you did, you wouldn't be hearing it from me!" she carried on, her voice volume rising a touch again.
Walking off, all she could say was: "Just leave me alone..."

Sombre sighed, watching the girl leaving, “Suit yourself, I hope the forest is treating you well and will continue too.” She said in a form of farewell to her old friend, seating herself down where she had been.
She had somehow thought that maybe, just for that split moment, they could be friends again. Both immortalised and dammed forever. Couldn’t it be just how it used to be...? Similarities restored? But that was stupid. Hayzie hated Sombre. She hated the personification of Cara’s anger into it’s own person. Such it was.
Even if they couldn’t be the friends they were, at least she could have any sort of relationship. She seemed to be lacking such in the caves.
“HAYZIE! WAIT!” The vampiress had always been lithe and quick, it was no trouble catching up the the slowly walking girl. ”Lets start again shall we? I am Sombre Verite, you?”

Shocked that Sombre had given up so quickly, Hayzie started to walk away, back into the deepness of thought. Just as she was about to dive right in to the deep end, she heard her name being called, milliseconds before the red haired girl appeared in front of her.
Smiling a little and shaking her head, Hayzie looked back at the girl. "Hayzie Roberts. It's a pleasure," she replied, trying to hold back a small laugh.

Sombre smiled politely, “An immortal I see, well our kind should stick together. How is it living in the forest, the caves are a tad drab if I do say...” She mused in pointless conversation. It was something Cara had never been very good at, nor attempted to be. She was content to stick to facts.
“So...” She said, “Been here long?”

Hayzie shook her head, successfully holding back a grin. She always remembered Cara as not being the conversationalist. With newbies, all you would ever get out of her was: "Hi, I'm Cara, Slytherin Prefect," and that was it. "Looks like she hasn't changed that." she thought to herself.
"No, I haven't been here long. Just a few weeks. Yourself?" she asked innocently, trying to act as though she had never met the girl before. In all honesty, she was experiencing flashbacks of that night, but the blonde girl refused to let them get to her.

“About...” Sombre paused, she had no idea how long it had been. inconsequentially the days had pasted over her as she lay in darkness and counting the nights hardly seemed right. “Not a long time, but I guess not a short time either,” The girl forced a grin.
“I spend most of my time in the caves though,” Sombre said slowly. That was almost a lie. The Vampiress hardly ever now bothered to leave the stuffy dark confines. The world was every changing but nothing was new. She left only when the blood of rats became to unspeakable.
“You leave the forest much?”

Hayzie thought over this sentence for a moment.
"A little too much some might say," she answered thoughtfully. This was true. A day didn't go by without her wondering out to go and see if she could find one of her friends to talk to, despite the fact she was supposed to be breaking off ties with them.

“You know it is hard for them,” She said this as a pure statement, Hayzie knew exactly how hard it was to watch one of your friends change, “But it will be better and easier for all concerned if you don’t venture too close to the school.”
The vampiress examined her nails for dirt only she could see, “Hard being on this side too hmm?” She whispered, more to herself than Hayzie. The silence between the girl was thicker than the blood sitting stagnant in Sombre’s veins. For two that were so closer, they were now unspeakably distant. Friends to strangers, an odd, but oft known transformation for the undead.
