ooc: The start of this is on conforums, hope no-one minds me continuing it here....
bic: Hayzie nodded. She hadn't seen it as hiding out in the trees before, but she supposed that was the only definition for it. It was hardly as though she'd been anywhere else bar the lake since she'd returned.
She could see that Mondia was shocked, but what else was she expecting? Them to understand straight away?
"Look, maybe you didn't need to know that, but he..." she said, cutting herself off. She was about to explain to them about Mortimer, but that was something they most definately would NOT get out of her, no matter how much they tried.

And, of course, Mondia was ready and willing to try. Once her curiousity arose, nothing could get the Forest Lycan off a topic. Well, almost nothing.
"He? Do go on... there's nothing that'll surprise me after what you've already said," the brunette said quietly, bowing her head.
Well, I guess we won't be feating tonight, she sent privately to Rikka at the same time. Eating a human was one thing. Eating a fellow wolf was an entirely different story. What do you think Chay'll say?

"No," Hayzie answered, shaking her head. What had happened with Mortimer in the past was personal, and nothing that the Forest Lycan needed to know about. If she told her about Mortimer, the liklihood was, she would carry on, until Mondia knew about Maria's death - and then what trust would she own in the forest?
"It doesn't matter, he's just... an old friend," she carried on, unsure if those were the right words. However at the moment, Hayz was confused, and she felt alone. Fifteen and a lycan? She knew with all this confusion, she'd end up talking sooner than she wanted to...

Boo yawned greatly in his burrow under a nearby tree. His neck fur bristled at the scent of Mondia. That lycan had tried eating him several times now...
He scampered up out of his burrow, coming to the surface and examining the scene. He sniffed again, and an unfamiliar scent, that of Hayzie, filled his nostrils. He didn't know how to handle this one...
Boo climbed the tree as carefully as he could, making little noise. He examined it from his new perspective. Spying Mondia, he chattered excitedly and looked for something to throw at the lycan. Spying an acorn he picked it up in his paws, judged the distance, licked a paw and held it in the air to determine wind speed and direction, and then hurled the acorn down at Mondia's head, being sure to run into a knot before she could spy him.

Whistling through the air, the perfectly-aimed acorn hit the brunette straight on the head.
"Ouch!" Mondia, startled out of her shock, glared up into the trees above her. Boo was already out of sight, however. Owing the acorn to the wind, the Forest Lycan turned back to Hayzie.
"An old friend? I see.... what do you plan to do now? You could stay in the forest, of course, but you are still a student, aren't you?"

A tiny smile cracked through as Mondia was hit on the head with the acorn. Maybe it would make her forget about asking any more questions regarding Mort.
"I don't know," she answered eventually after a short silence. "I have no idea what to do. I mean, I got back an hour ago? And already loads has happened and..." she was talking too fast for even the forest lycan to probably understand. "I'm just confused," Hayz admitted eventually.

Mondia gave a small, pitying smile.
"I'll leave you to your thoughts, then," the Forest Lycan said quietly. She knew that the newly-created wolf probably needed some time to sort out her feelings. "If you need me, just howl. I'll be there in a flash."
With a small bow to Rikka, Mondia took off, sprinting into the trees. As she ran, she slowly transformed until only a brown wolf was left, running through the forest, at peace for a rare moment.

Ooc: *Stumbles in hand on head* I’ve been away all weekend and now I’m so lost… My poor head…. Bic:
“It has been a long time since I have been responsible for bringing a new Lycan into the world…” Rikka said expressionlessly. The truth was it had probably been a good century since she had, not since she had lost her pack. She didn’t like to remember how easily a human could be one of them.
“Having fun with your new found personality?” Rikka asked nonchalantly. She was scraping for words as she reached down to pet the small ferret she had met in Ash’s Home.
Rikka wasn’t sure what to say to the girl, whether to consol her, congratulate her or purely let her be. Although the girl often seemed to lack compassion, it wasn’t so, she was just unsure of how to act, so didn’t.

Hayzie blinked a few times, amazed at how suddenly Rikka’s attitude towards her had changed. One second she was taunting, the next near enough gentle. At least she wasn’t about to die this time.
“Not really,” she answered, her voice quieter than it had been for the entire meeting. At least it was the truth though. Since the moment she had arrived back in the forest, she had felt like a prisoner. The fog which was always present a barrier from the world outside, the trees blocking any escape above, and the petite girl in the centre of it all trying to get away. She just wanted to go back to being normal.

“Sum Quod Eris,” Rikka said, lifting the golden wolf that hung from her throat, showing it to the girl. “Do you know what that means?” She paused, studying the girl’s features. She had chosen to consol. It was obvious she didn’t want to be here, most didn’t straight after transformation. “It is Latin, means ‘I am what you will be’ I’m sorry Hun, but you can’t do anything about it.” Rikka’s attitude towards the girl was completely different. She was... sympathetic? Almost mothering in the tone she used.
“It does get easier, Think of the power you have now huh?” Her voice was slightly more optimistic. “Tell me... What color is your fur my dear?” Rikka had many times before had to consol those she had bitten. This bought back unwanted memories. After seeing her flesh and blood and all those she had brought to this life slaughter, she couldn’t bring herself to do it all over again. That is why for so long before coming to MH she was a lone wolf.

"Whats this? A student turned wild?"
Ash stepped out of the trees and into the little meeting. Nodding at each to of the elder lycans in turn, he stopped when he saw Hayzie.
"Welcome home, Miss Roberts."

Hayzie looked up at Rikka, uncertainty evident in both her eyes and features, confusion mixed in with that. The change the lycan had made was unnerving to her. After all, many a time had the girl been led astray by apparent niceties, and she wasn’t about to do it again.
“There’s got to be something that can be done,” she answered quietly. Even standing there, Hayzie could tell she wasn’t the same person any more, but someone else entirely. The girl used to be happy and outgoing, now she was upset and confused. At the same time, a feeling of loneliness swept over her.
But when Rikka asked what colour her fur was, Hayz realized she had no idea. She had yet to turn into her lycan state despite the fact people from the ministry who came to see her in St. Mungo’s had urged her to so they could check everything was okay. So, instead of answering the question, the blonde girl decided to strategically dodge it.
Her attention instead focused on someone who had entered the clearing. The only human who could stay in the forest without being threatened or harmed. Ash.
“This isn’t home,” she answered, not looking at Ash once, but instead keeping her gaze fixed on the floor. “It never will be.”

Post by Lanseril Snowmantle on Jun 25, 2004 3:13:45 GMT
"Come now, Ash, need you always bring such sorrow into the hearts of the wolf children?" A boyant voice rose out of the forest, which was soon followed by the figure of a young man. He wore a short tan brown robe, and dark velvety pants beneath. And oddly, his brown eyes were covered by dark round sunglasses.
Lanseril Snowmantle, strode forward, his right hand keeping a steady beat with his large quarterstaff upon the ground. "Ah, well met, Children of the Wolf. My Lady, the Masked Goddess, bids you welcome." Lance lowered his head so his wink could be seen and added, "Though you already must know that. How do you stand, friends of the wild?"

Ash bowed to the woodland Cleric in greeting. It was not often that the two got together, despite the similarities of thier paths.
"Greeting Friend Snowmantle. But no, Her sorrow is that which she brought in herself."
He turned to face the new lycaness, and bowed slightly. "You will find that the forest heals all things, in time, young Miss Roberts. If only you let it."

Hayzie blinked twice in a confused manner as Lance came out of seemingly nowhere. The blonde girl knew him from the school... but why was he here? And without any fear?
Shaking her head, she turned to him and nodded her head in a silent greeting, still incredibly confused at the happenings of everything that had taken place and words seemed to have failed her, again.
"I'm sure it heals most things," Hayzie practically whispered after thinking over what Ash had said, "But unless it can turn me back to how I was before, then I wouldn't say it could heal everything."
