Krista walked down the sloping lawns of Magic Horizon, towards the quidditch pitch. Her boots clumped softly onto the grass as they flattened it with each step she took. Her hair, which was black today, was swishing around her head with the wind change, sometimes into her green eyes.
In one hand, she was holding her Nimbus 2001, which was leaning against her shoulder. In the other, the snitch she had 'borrowed' from the school was trying to wriggle free.
With one more step, Krista entered the gigantic, breathtaking stadium. Planting both feet firmly on the ground, she mounted her Nimbus and pushed off hard.
The feeling was wonderful; she loved the way the wind whipped her hair again, the feeling of nothingness beaneath her, and the way the air flowed freely through her fingers. She released the snitch into the air, and watched it zoom out of her sight.
She held onto her broom tight, and raced 3 laps around the pitch, just enjoying the feeling of flying once more. It had been too long. She dived down to the ground, pulling up inches before the ground, and giving out a loud 'whoop!'. She darted between the goal hoops, and even jumped over one of them, letting go of her broom and letting it go through the hoop before grapping ahold of it on the other side.
She was smiling and laughing the whole time, finally having a period of time where she could relax from her studies and the drama of school.
Eventually, she began searching for the released the snitch. She wished someone would join her as she looked for it, so she could have some nice competition.

ooc: someone needs to reply to this. . . . Let's see.
bic: "You have got to be kidding me." Evence said stepping onto the quidditch pitch, thinking of actually flying. She knew it was done, she knew people played quidditch, she had seen a match herself once, but actually flying looked. . . . if nothing else, dangerous. She had a school broom flung over her shoulder the way she had seen a few other kids hold theirs on the way out to the pitch. Evence stared up into the sky watching as the few people out there flew around like experts. I'm not even sure how to mount a broom she thought to herself now flipping the broom over and over again in her hands.

Krista searched around for the snitch, but instead of finding the golden winged ball, she found a young boy flipping a broom in the air, looking up at her as if she was crazy. She flew down and landed softly on the grass below by the boy.
She pulled her black hair our of her face and placed her broom on the ground next to her. She studied the broom in the student's hand; an old, school broom. She snorted, but quicky turned it into a cough.
"You've never flown before, have you?" Krista said, staring straight at the boy. He seemed amazed by flying, though Krista was sure he himself had not much skill or practice in it.

ooc: *hmmm?* I must say this has to be the first time I've been mistaken for a boy. MISS Evence Leigh, if you would be so kind. *giggles*
bic: Evence watched as girl decended from her flying and came over to her. She crossed her fingers that she could get some help from such a talented quidditch player.
The girl took the broom out of her hand and studied it for a moment before giving a snort like cough . Evence lifted and eyebrow at the girl could the broom really be that awful. But she had never flown before the girls snort could have actually have been a cough.
"No not much" Evence replied as the girl studied the school broom "None really" Evence corrected herself honestly. "you seem pretty good though, maybe you could show me some things" she asked jumping head first into the biggest wizarding sport ever.

((OOC- gahhh my bad. That's my trademark, not paying attention to gender. I've done that three times on this website. NOTHING against you. SOOOO Sorry!))
bic- Krista threw the broom back at the girl. "I plan on it," she said, smirking. "Do you know anything at all, about flying or quidditch?" she asked, mainly to quiz her.
She sat on the cool grass so she could take a break from the rush.

ooc: No problem, Nice trademark by the way
bic: Evence plopped down on the ground next to the girl, and leaned back on her hands staring at the bright beutiful sky above tham before saying."I know the basic's of quiddich, you know, three chasers, who pu the quaffle in the loopy things. . . . ." she counted off some off the things she knew about quidditch on her fingers suprisingly pulling out her left hand from behind her to continue onto the last postition she knew about ". . . . and a seeker, who catched the winged gold thing, whats it called, oh right a snitch." She finished, replacing her hands behind herself to lean on and looking at the girl "as for flying, neever done it, don't have a clue how to."

"Well fly is easy enough. But the only way to learn how to fly is to actualy do it. We'll get to that in a minute," Krista said quickly. She thought for a minute.
"Well, you kinda have quidditch. There's three chasers who put the quaffle, that's the big red ball, through the hoops at the end of the pitch. They pass it back and forth and try to score. Each ball put through the hoop is 10 points to thier team," she began to explain, pausing for a moment.
"It's hard because there's the keeper, who protects the hoops. Like in that muggle game," she added. "And there's also the beaters. Two beaters to each team. They fly around hitting these heavy balls called bludgers at the players, trying to unseat as many people as possible," she said and smirked.
"And then, there's the seeker. Maybe the most important member of the team. The seeker must be very fast and have good eyes, because it has to weave through all the players, quaffle and bludgers to find the golden snitch. Whichever team gets the snitch first gets an automatic 150 points to thier team's score, and the game can only end when the snitch is caught."
Krista stopped and took a deep breathe. It had been awhile since she had recited the full rules of quidditch.
"And that's quidditch in a nutshell. But first, you have to learn to fly. So we can do that first. Ready to try it out?" she asked anf hopped to her feet, eager for a new challenge.

Evence stared at the girl as she went into deeper explanation of the game. It made relatively more sense as she spoke.
She followed suit as the girl hopped to her feet, rising gradually grabbing her broom off the ground where it had set. "Ready for it" She said nodding reassuringly to herself before looking back up at the sky a little more confidently this time, "Whats first?"

"Ok, well, first, swing your legs over your broom, like this," she explained and then demonstrated. "Yur grip needs to be tight, so you should hold your hands more like this," she said, showing her once more.
Krista wanted to succeed into making this girl into a decent flyer, so she corrected her grip. "Excellent. By the way, I'm Krista," she said, holding her hand out for the girl to shake. "Slytherin 4th year."

Evence followed the girls instructions. Her hands gripped the broom at a funny angle but she couldn't quite grip it the exact same why the other girl had, she assumed whatever felt right was probably a better idea. She heard the girl introduce herself as she twisted her broom around in her hands, turning it over and over trying to find something more cofortable, and correct. "Evence Leigh" she said holding the broom between her legs, and staring at it with a confused and annoyed look on her face before turnig to shake the girls hand "I happen to be a fourth year too, thats kind of cool, Hufflepuff though" she said almost wavering when she said hufflepuff, recent event in hufflepuff had started to bother her. "o.k., my grips almost right, right?" she said giving a pleading look to Krista.

Krista took a look at her grip, studying it for a moment. "Yeah, close enough." She grabbed her broom off the groud and brushed it off a little. She slid onto it and gripped it tight.
"Ok, so when I say go, push off hard off the ground. Lean back down slightly to go back down, and put your weight forward if you want to go faster," she explained. "I'm going to go beside you to make sure youll do ok."
"Ready? Are you nervous?"

Evence was shocked, to say the least, no spells or fancy words, just go , jump and your flying, you've got to be kidding me. "Your not serious are you just go, jump?" She said staring dumbstruck at the girl beside her, it made her feel only slightly better that she would be flying right by her.

"She don't jump," Krista said, shaking her head. "You push off. No silly incantations. It's quite simple. Do you want me to ride on the back of your broom first?" she asked.
The girl was being ridiculous. Flying was so simple; wait until she saw.

"No, I don't need you rising on the back of my broom thank you." Evence said getting a little anoyed at the comment but laughing it off light heartedly. "So just go." she said throwing one last, you'd-better-save-me-if-I-fall look to Krista before pushing off from the ground. She wobbled a bit and lost her grip letting her hands slide up the broom accidentally before righting herself and sitting stiffly on her broom a few yards from the ground, inching forward.

Krista laughed and shot into the air behind Evence, giving another shout of joy. She positioned herself next to Evence, who was going the speed of the turtle.
Are you going to go faster?" she asked, flying circles around the Hufflepuff girl. Her face was red from wind burn, but she didn're care. "You aren;t going to fall very far if you do fall off, you're about 3 feet in the air."
