Hayzie nodded, the nervous butterflies still present as she looked around. "They're just doing warmup laps, and then we'll get started," she smiled. "Just waiting to see if anyone else is going to show, then I'll be up, okay?"

Lucius nodded to hayzie as he mounted his broom. He hovered only a few feet off the ground "Sure i like that idea, can i ask what position you play?" he said to her with a soft smile. He rounded around her a few times as he waited for her to answer, he was not so nervous now.

"Why do I feel like I'm being circled by vultures?" Hayzie grinned, shaking her head.
"Well, usually I play Chaser... but for the last game I took the seeker's place," she explained, feeling guilty again for them having lost the first game of the season. The blonde had been so close..

Lucius stopped circling her as she made the vulture comment "So i look bald with a beak?" he said with a smirk "Tell me hayzie, why do you look so glum, if your a chaser and played a seeker that was not your forte, you could not be expected to do better then what you knew how to do." he smiled at her "Plus do not beat your self up, there were 6 other players on the team."

Everyone had taken off in the air and was doing warm up lap, but Aidana. Normally, she was a good flyer, but there was this dread in the pit of her stomach. She really hadn't played Quidditch before. Aidana was a broom racer. She knew that if she messed up here, she wouldn't even get a chance to be on the team. She mounted her broom and kicked off, letting the wind run through her quburn hair. Now, this was what she loved. She narrowed her emerald eyes determinedly.
Now, lets show them what my broom can do... She leaned forward and shot off into the distance. Easily catching up to the rest of the team, she slowed down. she wanted to make the team, but she didn't want to outstrip them, not that she could.

Elorra laughed and gave Hayzie's hair a little ruffle "I'll be sure not to aim for you this time" laughed Elorra grabbing her bat and connected it to her belt by the loose straps.
Hopping onto her broom Elorra gave Hayzie another smile "I sulut you mon-capitan!" said Elorra giving Hayzie a sulut and then flying off to do her laps.

"You'll care to keep that title to 'vice,' Elorra, m'dear," commented a well known voice from the air below. Laura Black had just arrived back from her two weeks work experience, and seemingly still in fit condition was keen to get back into the swing of things.
She gained some height, until she was at the same altitude as her fellow Prefect. Offering a real grin, she admonished Hayzie gently. "You're too kind to them, you know. Being soft wont win us the cup, unless we get a pity vote," she informed the blonde, though a fair sight more calmly than was usual, when she was in 'quidditch captain' mode.
"I suppose I'll just sit back for a while, and see how you're going, shall I?" she added, her eyes laughing. "I'd like to see how you handle it...but don't think that's an invitation to slack off," she continued, directing her comment to the general populus.
Time for some real work; the fearsome Quidditch captain had made her daunting return, quite possibly to the dismay of many. They had better win the next match, or the Gryffindor commonroom would be forced to restrain a rabid prefect.

Hayzie flinched slightly as Laura's voice sounded from below. It seemed her friend had got back from her work experience right on cue. Right on time to see the blonde Prefect mess up a practise.
"Have fun on work experience, Laura?" she asked her friend, but before she had answered, the captain was talking again. It was strange not seeing Laura shouting at someone or kicking a box while she was at a practise... a welcome change in the blonde's eyes.
But as she mentioned she was just going to sit and watch... "No!" Hayzie replied, a little too quickly. She was already being soft. There was no way she could do it right if she knew Laura was watching her, too! "The pity vote might work, though... right? And besides, we're only on warmups and waiting for anyone else to show," she smiled weakly. If only she had planned ahead...

The elegantly arched brow that the brunette offered in response to Hayzie's explanation conveyed both amusement and censure at the plan of action. She glanced around at the training Gryffindors, bright eyes sharp in their critical examination, her mind working like clockworks.
"You're not telling me that you haven't got a game plan mapped out yet?" she muttered, somewhat distractedly, as if the mere notion was ludicrous. "And what about the positions? Have you allocated positions to our team? And selected a seeker?"
Her gaze returned to the other girl, now laced with dissatisfaction. "What exactly have you been getting them to do? We'll have to work with the players we have now – we can't trust on others to show up, if you look at our past records. Just shocking, absolutely shocking." Laura resisted the urge to spit on the ground, but being over one hundred meters above the grassy Quidditch pitch, she was aware that this might not be received too well. "Well?" She prompted, green eyes narrowed menacingly, the usual Laura beginning to show through. "And Hayz...the pity vote was a joke."

A small smile broke loose at Laura's words. This was the Prefect she knew. "Welcome back, Laura," she whispered, looking around the small group.
"Well... things have been a little... hectic?" she tried, making up an excuse again. Though this time it was more of a reason. The blonde was running around the school like a maniac trying to find ingredients, any clues as to the disappearences... Quidditch had been the last thing on her mind.. until two days before the game, anyways.
Running over the questions in her mind again, Hayz answered: "No, no, no, no... ermmm... training... and I know... awful records... but it can change, right?" she tried with a small smile, backing away slightly.

For a moment, it seemed as if Laura might be prepared to strangle her vice captain, but with considerable effort, she managed to restrain the impulse, and settle with a death stare, with the volume of her voice raised a fair few decibels.
"Well, that's not really good enough, is it? she informed the other, glowering around at the students. "I will need to organise a seeker, IMMEDIATELY!" she bellowed, ignoring the fact that she was possibly frightening all her potentials into silence.
"And the rest of you, you'll mainly be chasers, so GET TO WORK. I want to see some real sweat flying before this training is out, and believe me, I can make your lives hell if you don't prove that you're putting one-hundred-and-ten percent effort in every minute of training!"
Yes. Laura was most certainly back.

There was no doubt about it. Two weeks of work experience may have made Laura a little softer, but as soon as she realised they had an unorganised quidditch team, she was back to her normal self. In a way, Hayzie was relieved.
"No, you're right, it's not go..." but before Hayzie could finish her apology, Laura had turned away from her and began talking to everyone else. "I'll just... go and get the balls..." she told Laura quietly, heading towards the ground to fetch the Quaffle. The worst thing the captain could do, and she knew it, was allow Hayz to be seeker again. It wasn't her position... she preferred dodging in and out of bludgers and working as part of a team than working alone.
Flying back up, everyone had finished their laps. If the rest of them, apart from Laura and Elorra were going to be chasers, it would be best to check how well they could aim and catch the Quaffle before attempting anything else.
"Okay, guys. Listen up! You heard the captain. One hundred and ten percent effort! It's my ass on the line as well as yours... so... how about we spread out and see how well you can catch the Quaffle, and throw it back to another member of the team," she smiled nervously, fully aware of Laura's furious eyes on her back, watching her every move, listening to every word.
"Aidana! You can start. Just throw the ball to anyone, but aim it properly. The aim of this exercise is to make sure that you can keep balance on your broom, and to show that your observations are up to scratch. Otherwise, you're going to end up on the floor after a rogue bludger,or the Quaffle, hits you."
Finishing this with a small smile, she threw the ball lightly to Aidana, magicked up a whistle and blew it. "Go! I want to see some speed here, people!"

While makira finished her las lap, she heard a voice say "Seeker". That was her desired position, so she smiled and looked down while still going around, finishing her last lap. Then, when she heard thet they'd be practising as CHASERS, she got sick to her stomach and the smile was wiped from her face. Beads of sweat formed on her forehead. *'Bloody hell. I didn't practise for ANY position OTHER than Seeker! Goddamn...'* she thought worriedly. So she hung her head for a brief moment and replied back to Hayzie, "I'll do the best I can, Miss." And fosused on looking for the scarlet ball and getting ready to catch it. She leaned forward, slightly and waited, furrowing her brow in concentration.

Flying up to Makira, who suddenly looked nervous, and took her to one side. "Don't worry. I'll try and talk her round. She'll probably choose the best from this session for Seeker... so just try your best, okay?" she said quietly, making sure Laura couldn't hear and giving the girl a quiet wink.
"Just get out there, and try your best." Turning back to the other Gryffindors, she shouted: "Come on guys! Keep that ball moving!!!"
EDIT: Sorry, got confued lol.

Makira noticed Hayzie fly up and give her a tip. "Oh, 'Kay, thanks Miss Hayzie." she said, wiping the sweat from her brow. "Hope I do at least mediocre." she said, a nervous chuckle following.
