Well, I just got back from the Goblet of Fire movie. And it actually got me thinking a bit.
Why doesn't MH do anything relating to the actual Harry Potter books themselves? After all, we have the same houses as they have in the books. I think it would be so interesting to have things like a Yule Ball actually be sponsored by the heads. Or to have something like a Tri-wizard tournument. Or to have any other kind of special event that the whole school could engage in that wasn't some kind of epic battle against various creatures.
So... good idea, or not?

I mentioned having a tri wizard tourney back on the old mh*pulls up thread* mgckalhrizn.conforums.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=council&num=1076728336&start=0 It never got off the ground but Id love to try it again it would also be intresting if we had a demon, lycan, vamp, male and female from each house, and a noob from each house compeat it might be a lil big but it would be fun. Anyway ya I love that idea and a yule ball and all the other festivities would be great. As for the compititions i was thinking one could be a role playing event, one could be a riddle but after you think of the answare you have to roleplay your self thinking of it and one could be like a find the snithc or a battle one. I for one think it would be quite fun:D

I think that's a great idea. It will certainly make things a lot more interesting.

-nods- will indeed. It'll break up the doom and gloom. Besides, it's been AGES since we had a ball of any kind....

If there really was a Tri-wizard tourney, Aylen would wail and wail about how the Quidditch was ruined. ;D
But I think it's a great idea. The main problem would be how one would organize something like that. ^_^

It could be organized.... by the heads or perhaps Hikalyn, I was thinking.
Either way... I want one! 0.0 It would be so much fun. And it has been forever since we had any kind of organized ball/dance.

It is a good idea, and goodness knows we could all use a bit of excitement around here. It's been rather low-key lately. I miss the days where we always had a good plot going somewhere. ^_^
Has anyone pitched this idea to one of the heads?

No; I figured I'd try and find out what everyone else thought first. ^^

I think it's a great plan! We need something to get people to RP more. IC posts have really been dropping of late, and maybe an event like a Yule Ball or Tournament would bring it all sorta back to life. Plus it might have some of the die-hard fans more into it, and more readily posting. So yeah, I think it's grand.

Oooh! That would be fun!
But instead of picking one Champion from every house, I think we should do teams, like Quidditch. That way it gives everyone a chance to participate and all that! Besides, it'd give Gryffindors a chance to kick the other houses' butts! ;D
A Yule Ball would be cool too I guess.

Teagan won't be pleased about the ball, but I think Aidana's idea about the more than one person thing would be good. Of course, I'm all for Gyffindor's loss in this tournament.
