Ashlle looked around cautiously. It was after morning classes and she had the rest of the day off. She was unsure what had driven her down to the dance hall but the stage seemed to be calling her with a Phoenix song that could not be ignored.
After making sure no one was in the room she climbed on the stage. Approaching the middle of the stage she began to sing softly to herself. The acoustics were amazing! soon she was belting out her song.
Her voice was strong and full of feeling. Feeling that she had never dared let show for fear it would be ridiculed or crushed. She sang form the bottom of her sad heart and the music that flowed from her soul and lips would have touched anyones heart.

Sister Christian, oh the time has come
And you know that you're the only one to say
Okay
Where you goin', what you looking for?
You know those boys don't want to play no more with you
It's true
You're motoring
What's your price for flight,
And finding Mister Right?
You'll be all right tonight
Babe, you know you're growing up so fast
And momma's worrying that you won't last to say
Let's play
Sister Christian, there's so much in life
Don't you give it up before your time is due
It's true
It's true (Yeah)
You're motoring
You've got him in your sights
And driving through the night
You're motoring
What's your price for flight,
And finding Mister Right?
You'll be all right tonight
You're motoring
What's your price for flight,
And finding Mister Right?
You'll be all right tonight
You're motoring
What's your price for flight,
And finding Mister Right?
You'll be all right...
Tonight
Sister Christian, oh the time has come
And you know that you're the only one to say
Okay
But you're motoring
And you know that you're the only one to say
Okay
Where you goin', what you looking for?

Okay
But you're motoring
I can't fight this feeling any longer
And yet I'm still afraid to let it flow
What started out as friendship has grown stronger
I only wish I had the strength to let it show
I tell myself that I can't hold out forever
I said there is no reason for my fear
'Cause I feel so secure when we're together
You give my life direction, you make everything so clear
And even as I wander,
I'm keeping you in sight
You're a candle in the window
On a cold, dark winter's night
And I'm getting closer than I ever thought I might
And I can't fight this feeling anymore
I've forgotten what I started fighting for
It's time to bring this ship into the shore
And throw away the oars forever
'Cause I can't fight this feeling anymore
I've forgotten what I started fighting for
And if I have to crawl upon the floor,
Come crashing through your door,
Baby, I can't fight this feeling anymore
My life has been such a whirlwind since I saw you
I've been running around in circles in my mind
And it always seems that I'm following you, girl,
Cause you take me to the places that alone I'd never find
And even as I wander,
I'm keeping you in sight
You're a candle in the window
On a cold, dark winter's night
And I'm getting closer than I ever thought I might
And I can't fight this feeling anymore
I've forgotten what I started fighting for
