Rezna had closed her eyes halfway through her journey from the classroom to the Hospital Wing. The rapidly moving ceiling and the fact that she was floating made her feel sick. Seeing as the right side of her body was more damaged then her left, the blond girl had a difficult time relaying to Shea that she was fine. Instead, she only moved the fingers on her left hand when she couldn't stand the pain anymore and needed to stop.
Finally, after a difficult and halting walk, the group entered the Hospital Wing. Rezna could have almost smiled with relief, although she hardly had the strength. Looking at Shae, all the girl could do was close her eyes and open them with a tiny grateful nod.

The journey down from the tower had clearly been exhausting for Rezna. Equally though, the ghost felt a little more alive than she had lately. Perhaps it was something to do with finally being able to really properly help someone.
Carefully, the phantom floated Rezna over to the most comfortable bed she could find, and lowered her gently onto the clean sheets.
Calling over a brown bottle containing a potion that would help Rezna to relax her muscles and allow her to sleep. This was one of the Wing's more important potions, as it was so useful.
Now Rezna needed it, and the ghost carefully dripped one drop of the cool liquid past the girl's lips.
"This is the last thing I'm going to make you swallow until you are ready to eat." She promised.

Feeling the clean, soft bed underneath her body made the girl let out a sigh of relief. Lying on the desk of some teachers had been less than comfortable. The fact that the hurt Hufflepuff felt better was evident in that now she could easily follow the movement of the brown bottle through the air. Before, it was hard for the girl's green eyes to focus on one thing for less than a minute.
Not being able to make any movement in agreement to the potion, Rezna simply parted her lips to let the cool drop enter her body. And after only a few seconds it began to make an affect.
Her shoulders drooped against the soft bed and her head fell even deeper into the folds of the pillow which used to be white. The buzz in her ears and the pain that pricked her from the inside, which she had now gotten used to, faded away. Her eye lids began to droop on their own even as Rezna fought to keep her green eyes on Shae's own.
Fearful that she was losing her grasp on consciousness, she began to fight the affects of the potion. She would not let herself give up, not when she had finally made it to safety. Fearfully, the girl tried to tell Shea of her problem, but her sight had become hazy and withing that very second, Rezna had fallen into a troublesome sleep.
At least, that was for a little while, until her mind let up struggling and relaxed itself. Not only did the potion let Rezna gain some strength, it also kept any of her troublesome thoughts at bay. No dreams came to mind, no recollections of her near death experience. She even forgot to worry about her classmates, those she left with the lycan. No, her body was finally relaxed while her mind was lost in a dreamless sleep.

With all the correct potions at hand, and books of healing spells nearby - not to mention copious amounts of bandages, balms, plasters, and heat packs - the ghost got to work on healing Rezna properly.
Soothing balms were applied and covered, spells were muttered for the healing of Rezna's torn flesh, and with great care the arm was set properly.
The girl received a sponge bath, and a comb was put to her hair - the matted blood coming away slowly, but with some extra water, it came.
The ghost raised the sleeping Rezna slightly to tend to any injuries that might be on her back, and changed the sheets before lowering her again, the clean sheets making anything the phantom had missed more evident.
At last, the dead girl could leave Rezna to sleep a true sleep. She went to prepare some food for when Rezna woke up.

No more than ten minutes passed after Shae left and Rezna awoke. For a moment, it was almost like she was awaking from a coma, awaking and finding herself in a new life. The bed she lay on was no longer soaked in her own blood, her body was no longer hurt, and her senses were attuned to their mistresses needs.
Rezna's gaze was sharper, her hearing clear and unhindered by the ring of pain, and she no longer smelled blood. Looking up, the girl gazed at the dust that happily danced around in the rays of sunlight that entered the room from the windows.
Peace, ultimately it was peace that surrounded the girl in her white bed, in the white room. And during this minute, the blond had no care in the world, no worries.
Then, as a cloud covered the sun which in turn, stole the sunlight from the room, all that had happened to Rezna that day flooded her mind like a tidal wave. Gasping, the girl sat up so suddenly that the bed moved slightly in her wake. She remembered the attack, the other students, falling, and the pain. Her heart rate increased as all her questions brought fear back into her body.
Glancing around, Rezna tried to find the nurse, the spirit who had turned into her angel within a day. Her green eyes fell on a dark opening where the nurses offices and rooms were probably located. Leaning as far out of her bed as she could, the Hufflepuff girl tried to catch a glimpse of someone.
Yet, the more she moved, the more pressure was applied to her bruises, on her internally bloodied legs and arms which forced her to fall back on her pillows. Taking a few deep breaths, Rezna moved to her next plan.
She wanted to call out to Shae, but wasn't sure if she would be able to. The lycan had damaged her vocal cords and before she could not speak. Now that her body felt restored, she was worried that her ability to speak was one of the things that the ghost was unable to cure. Sure, testing it out was simple, but Rezna feared knowing the truth. Somehow, not trying gave her hope, and she was worried to what her answer would be.
Gathering what courage she had left, the girl opened her mouth and mouthed the word, then, letting air escape out of her lungs and through her mouth, she whispered out the word, "Shae." A sigh of relief followed, and a smile, and than a little louder, "Shae... anyone?"

The ghost appeared, a tray of warm broth and some bread floating almost normally in front of her. Looking at Rezna, she smiled.
"I'm glad to see you are awake, but you need to let your body rest. Rest is best after the sort of thing I've had to imagine you have been through. I never did get an answer as to what actually happened." Dripping yet another potion into the broth, she brought the whole tray and a glass of water to Rezna.
"That one is to help your bruises heal." She said, putting down the tray and sending the potion back to it's shelf.
Sitting on a cloud of cold air by Rezna's bed, the dead girl's own bright green eyes were almost a calming influence on their own, the gentle and reassuring smile helped too.
"Relax, eat, and slowly tell me why you were in the state that you were. I don't mind if it's a long story, I like long stories." She said as a few extra pillows floated over to Rezna's bed, helping to prop up the girl so that she could breath easier.

The patient tried not to look disappointed as Shae told her that she did not know of what had happened, for that meant that no one from her class had spoken to the spirit. Rezna was only left hoping that everyone was safe in their dormitories. The floating pillows disrupted her train of thoughts, perhaps for the better.
"Thanks," Rezna replied quietly as she sat up in her bed. Taking the broth, she sipped it gently, trying not to burn or scorch her throat since it had been hurt enough for one day.
As she ate, the girl tried to put all the past events of just that morning into order in her mind. After a good five minute silence, the Hufflepuff took a deep breath and decided that she was capable of retelling her tale.
"I was in Divinations when a man came into the room and asked to speak to Professor Stevens. She went outside with him and I'm not sure what happened outside. But after a while the door burst open to reveal a Lycan. I think he was the man, only transformed, who stood a good eight feet above the ground."
"I was closest to the doors and saw the body of Madam Stevens outside the door. Frankly, I hoped to see her here, and now that she's not-" Rezna couldn't finish. Questions were bursting in her mind, but she knew there was no since to question Shae until she heard the whole story.
"Well, the Lycan began to lecture the class, about what I don't even remember. Still his outlook on humans was pure hatred and I'm not sure what kept him from tearing us all apart." She stopped, images of her classmates dead in the room filled her mind. Fighting back burning tears, she took a few deep breaths, wanting to finish this story as quickly as she could.
"After a while of threats and lectures he decided to prove his strength and power to us by showing us death. He charged at me and he grabbed me by my throat and thrust me out the window. Then, just when I ran out of oxygen, he dropped me and by pure luck, I landed on a window sill a few floors below. After that I think someone broke the window and lifted me inside. There is also an image of a red-haired girl in my mind, and you. The rest I think you could tell better than me."
By now, Rezna had lost her appetite, and after setting her bowl down on a table by her desk, she placed all her attention on Shae.
"Tell me, has anyone come here, from Divinations? Professor Stevens? Could they still be inside, in danger? And how long have I been here, I haven't been out for days have I?" Rezna asked with worry lining every cut on her face. If something happened to the others, it was all her fault. The irony of her being safe by falling out a window made her throat close up and made her feel sick. Her worried glance fell on the ghost's own green eyes and searched for answers in there. Somehow, Rezna knew that there were none there.

(ooc: If I am not welcome here, you may chase me out with a broom and a dustpan. ) A quiet knock on the door echoed through the nearly empty Wing, more to announce the knocker's presence rather than asking for permission to be let in. The door opened, revealing the lithe, tall figure of a faerie. Had he been human, his appearance would have been quite intimidating. However, his dragonfly wings lent him a more gentle air, resulting in a serene look. "Please excuse my intrusion," he said, shutting the door gently behind him. "I was told the injured girl from the Divinations class would be here." As he spoke, his violet gaze landed on Rezna and his face softened into a smile. "I do believe you are feeling better now?" he said wryly. "I must apologize for not bringing you here earlier." "I can see she is in good hands," he commented, turning to the ghost. "But if I can assist you in any way, please let me know." He frowned, sensing the tension in the air. "Is there something wrong?"

(ooc: You're more than welcome! ;D And I don't think Rez has the energy to chase you anywhere with a dustpan.)
bic:
Turning to the doorway, Rezna's gaze fell on the tall figure of a boy as he walked quietly into the room. She thought he looked familiar and picking at his words, she figured him to be the one who placed her in the room.
She waved off his apology with a small shake of her head. If he hadn't stayed with her, she was only hoping he went to the classroom afterward.
"Please, tell me, do you know what happened to the students from Divinations?" Rezna bore her eyes into his violet ones. Fearful for his answer, she clutched her bedsheets in her fists, fear eating at her heart.

A flicker of a smile flashed across his face. "No student was harmed, save for a few nervous breakdowns.” He walked towards her, gently prying her clenched hands away from the sheets. “Speaking of nervousness, you should worry less. It will be good for your health,” he said soothingly. He stepped back and sighed, brushing back a loose strand of hair. “However, your professor was less fortunate. The lycanthrope carried her off. I wish I could have done more to help.” Though the faerie sounded sincere, nothing showed his agitation except for the occasional flick of his wings.

Rezna let him pry her fingers away from her sheets while letting out the breath she found herself holding, but by no means did she relax. The lycan had carried off her Professor, surely that was reason enough to worry.
"You've done more than enough," she told the faerie softy. "Thank you for helping me, as well. It was nice of you for coming here, to check on a mere stranger. My name is Rezna, by the way. Rezna Lardale."
Looking at Shae, she gave her an apologetic smile, for she had cut off her conversation with the phantom in a rather rude way. "And thank you for your offer to help here, sir," the girl added, her voice growing softer, "it's up to this wonderful nurse really."
She had talked herself out, it seemed. Her voice grew raspy and her body slumped against the pillows. Her worry, only half dispersed, still hung around her like a storm could. How could she worry less? She almost died, and others could have as well. And who was to say that their Professor was not dead already? Closing her eyes, Rezna tried to calm her racing pulse as well as her nerves.

The ghost looked up only momentarily when the fairy entered the ward, but her attention was back on Rezna quickly.
"You've only slept ten minutes, which is far from enough." She said in a mildly scolding, though caring, manner.
Standing from her seated position over a chair that had never existed, she smiled down at Rezna.
"I'll go and look, shall I? Make sure things are alright, and bring down everyone." She said, collecting up potions and balms from the shelves.

"I'm sure anyone else would have done the same," he demurred. "I am called Luka. A pleasure to make your aquaintance, Miss Lardale." Though the girl's words were somewhat calmer, the faerie could easily tell the girl was not satisfied with his answer. Not surprising. Luka doubted that he would have been assured with such an answer.
The faerie nodded at Shae, relieved she had thought of a solution. "It is a good idea to check up on the students. I will keep watch in the Hospital Wing during your absence, if you wish," he offered quietly. "However, I would rather have left by the time the rest of the students arrive."

"Thank you, Shae," Rezna whispered as her now lively green eyes followed the ghost's every movement until Luka spoke. "A pleasure indeed," she spoke faintly.
Knowing that Shae was going to check on the others made her feel better, calmer. But once in a while, her mind jumped to the underlying worry of her vulnerability. Suddenly, her eyes grew wide as she remembered her wand. She had dropped it on the floor of the classroom before falling. Perhaps it was still there.
"Shea, my wand, it's on the floor in Div-" it seemed her voice was giving out. "Coul- d you ge- t -" she rasped, but couldn't finish.
Reaching behind her, Rezna drank a little of her broth, in hopes of clearing her throat. But when she tried to reiterate, she found that she had lost most of her ability to talk again. With a sigh, she fell back against her pillow almost angrily, hoping that Shae had understood her.
There was so much she wished she had asked, so much she still wondered about. It angered her how weak her body was when her mind seemed to be working better than before. Sighing, Rezna figured that even sleep wouldn't help for she was too shaken up to sleep.

"I'll be here when they arrive," came a voice from the door. It seemed that whenever she went away, something happened. Carrie had heard the majority of the story whilst preparing for the shift she was already slightly late for thanks to queues in Hogsmeade. "Sorry I'm late," she smiled slightly, as she pulled her long hair back into a ponytail, and looked down at Rezna. She looked tired, though she had heard that the Hufflepuff girl had slept. However, shaken was another way to describe the way she looked right then.
Giving the patient a warm smile, and trying to dampen out her feelings of sympathy for the girl, knowing there was a job to be done, Carrie said: "Save your voice for now, and like Luka said, calm down. Things will be okay, even if we have to work all day and night for the next two months... that wasn't the best thing to say... but things will be okay. Just get some rest."
Wow she really had lost her touch whilst on vacation.
