There was no time to react. The demon moved with a deadly lightning grace as he slammed Starlit across the room. He wasn't done, however. Without missing a beat, he scooped up several sharp hospital instruments and shot them at the second-year nurse.
Just in time, Aylen's desperate fingers grasped the end of his wand on the nightstand beside him and he flung himself to the floor. Any later, he would have been incinerated along with the bed. The Wing was filled with fire, and the heat beat relentlessly at the rehead's face as he staggered up.
“Impedimenta!” he shouted, pointing his wand at the flying scalpels aimed towards Ashlle. “Stop, dammit!” They slowed and stopped, halting inches from their target. He had just announced his presence, but that couldn’t be helped.
They were all here because of him. If he hadn’t insisted on going after his broom in the Forbidden Forest, none of them would be here. But then Ace probably wouldn’t have lived. Aylen smiled wryly. What if all four of them died for a vampire? Talon would have loved teaching that in History class, he’d bet.
The Gryffindor shook off his thoughts. There was no time for them now. “Aguamenti,” he muttered, sending a stream of water from his wand. He had to put out the fires near the others before they get hurt.

Rezna flew to her feet in seconds, as if her body had expected something like this to happen. Whipping out her wand once more, the Hufflepuff advanced towards the demon.
Just as she moved away, she heard Aylen fall to the ground as the bed he was on erupted in flames. Glancing behind her, she waited long enough to see the boy rise before leaving him to tend to the fires.
As she skidded around the tables trying to get to the others, her eyes spotted a far off medical cabinet. "Accio... knife," Rezna spat out as she pointed her wand towards the cabinet whose metal doors erupted to let her summoned object fly to her. Hesitantly, the girl reached out her hand to catch the weapon which was probably once used to cut ingredients for potions or something of the like.
She didn't care at the moment as her eyes fell on their attacker. "Petrificus Totalus!" she cried, hoping that her body had enough energy to get her through this new ordeal.
'Demons are immortal,' she quizzed herself as she wrapped her fingers around her metal weapon, 'but they're not immune to magic or pain.' Rezna harbored a small amount of doubt in her mind as she stopped before the demon.

A very unexpected, cruel move. Isaac was not one to be trusted, Ondrea knew that, but she did not expect him to go after Star, the person who had done the least a part from Aylen, to him. As Star was thrown into the window, Ondrea couldn't stop herself from cursing at the demon, and yelling, "What the hell was that for?!"
Ondrea could not go and tend to her friend now, because Isaac was not finished with his attacking for no reason. He sent sharp hospital instruments flying at the nurse I have decided he is insane. Thank God Aylen had thought fast, and had awoken from being unconscious, or else the nurse wouldn't be in the best of condition to say the least.
When Rezna had gotten her knife, Ondrea reached into her hoodie pocket, and took out her knife, holding it firmly, "What do you want with us?! We have done nothing to deserve this!" Ondrea said, pulling out her wand, she was going to need a strong shielding spell for Isaac's next move, would he return Rezna with a spell if hers had failed? Ondrea did not know, he could easily go after Ark, he was insane after all. (from Ondreas' point of view).

"Petri-"
Oh like hell you will
Even as Rezna desperately cast her spell, Isaac pivoted again, this time dipping low as one foot snaked beneath a bed, kicking it upright with sheer strength and slight nudge of telekinesis so it acted as a shield for the spell.
"-ificus Totalus."
The spell, designed to make moving objects immobile, didn't have quite the same effect on an already immobile bed. All the same, the power of the spell overpowered the weak frame of the bed, causing it to explode in hundreds of razor-sharp splinters that lanced out in a circular spray.... revealing that Isaac was no longer behind it.
Am I insane, you wonder? Have I gone off the deep end? Anything is possible, I suppose, though I do have to admit, I did have ulterior motives than checking up on Ark. They are you, Miss Night. You brought this upon yourself and your friends.
The thought-voice seemed to echo through all minds present in the Wing, possessing no real bearer or receiver, Isaac was nowhere to be found.

Starlit took the cups of medicine from the nurse, but no sooner then she had gulped down the grape tasting liquid then she saw out of the corner of her eye something moving toward her.
Before she even knew what was coming at her, Stars feet leave the ground. The containers holding the potion fell, shattering on the ground. Flying across the room she felt her head snap back as she made contact with the glass.
Sliding down the floor, a great throbbing consumed the girls head. She groaned, vision blurring in and out and placed a hand on the black of her head. Bringing it back she was horrified to see crimson blood staining it.
Snapped back by a warmth on her face she saw the Hospital Wing in flame. Struggling to her feet, and getting quiet dizzy from the action. Staggering a bit she fumbled for her wand.
The smoke made her eyes water, and scratched her throat. Coughing she saw Rezna cast the spell, which hit a bed that Isaac had thrown up into the air, hiding him from view. "Look out!" Starlit crumpled down onto the ground, back facing the sharp metal pieces and arms over her head and neck. There was no time to cast a defense spell. The sharp pieces dug into her back, she winced as they dug in.
Sitting up and looking around for the demon she saw nothing, but a voice seemed to be speaking into her head. Confused she looked at the faces of the others in the room, trying to see whether they could hear it as well. A stricken look appeared as he spoke of his other intention. The voice faded from her mind but his words lingered, They are you Miss. Night. You brought this upon yourself and your friends. I don't understand, what have I done? she thought.
Once again getting to her feet she realized with a jolt that the Wing was still on fire. Her vision began to make copies of everything, the room seemed to be spinning around, her face grew pale and white. Gripping the window sill to steady herself, she waited until images sharpened and became clear again. Stepping around some rubble, she joined the others, "Aguamenti." Water spurted from her wand to assist in the drowning of the flame.

Ondrea was getting worried, the flame was growing even with the help of Aylen's spell. She felt so useless, she had never used this spell before, therefore she could not assist in putting the fire out; also, she could not go and help Star. To her relief, Star seemed to be able to move, but just as she seemed to be OK, several splinters were sent flying everywhere.
Ondrea ducked onto the ground, and covered her head and neck from getting hit by the pieces of sharp wood that had begun to sink into her flesh. Just as Star called 'Look out!' Ondrea glanced around, hoping that the others would have ducked in time.
Then a male voice rung in her head, it was if it was her own thoughts, but really she wasn't thinking them, and it was not her own voice. Star did not do anything, what the hell?! Ondrea thought, and then suddenly was hit with worry. If she could be hearing other peoples thoughts, could they hear hers? A puzzled expression crept among her face, as she looked at Star, who looked equally confused.
Standing up, Ondrea glanced around the room, was everyone alright? Was Ark still there? Where did Isaac disappear to? Where they all going to die in the flame that seemed to be internal? Ondrea didn't know, she was stuck in the moment, and it felt like she was in a horror film. Closing her eyes, hoping that when she opened them, she would wake up in the astronomy tower and this would just be another nightmare. It wasn't.
Ondrea felt so helpless, she did not even know how to get the fire to die down, except for an extinguishing spell, which wasn't a very strong one, "Is everyone alright? We have to get out of here!" Ondrea scream, the fire was growing so rapidly, she could only make out where Star was. We better stick together.
Ondrea walked cautiously over to Star, "We have to get out quick," Ondrea almost laughed at her own words, this shouldn't be the way it is, people come to the hospital to get help, not to find themselves more trouble.
Ondrea turned to the flame and desperately called out, "Rezna?! Aylen?! Ark?! Nurse?!"

The situation was getting out of control. The water seemed to have no visible effect on the flames. The redhead swore vehemently. How did he get himself into these situations? He stole a glance at the others, but the flames were growing too fast for him to see much of what was happening.
He made his slow way towards Starlit, hoping to be able to help her. The demon had sent her across the room and he sure wouldn't be feeling too chipper after that. Using bombarda and aguamenti alternately to get thought the flames, he finally reached the cracked window.
Before he could do anything else, he felt sharp shards stinging into his sides. Aylen let out a gasp of surprise and gritted his teeth as they dug into his skin. Now he really wanted to know what was going on on the other end of the Hospital Wing. "Starlit!" he called out. He hoped the saying safety in numbers applied now.
Am I insane, you wonder? Have I gone off the deep end? Anything is possible, I suppose, though I do have to admit, I did have ulterior motives than checking up on Ark. They are you, Miss Night. You brought this upon yourself and your friends.
'What?' Aylen wondered. 'He wasn't here for Ark?' It took a few moments for him to realize the voice did not enter his mind through his ears. He opened his mouth to call again, but breathed in a mouthful of soot instead. They had to get rid of the blasted fires!

At all of this, Ark didn't even flinch. He watched the events unfold, then finally, he started to put out the fires before the Hospital Wing was in shambles. "Arguameti!" he cried several time, dousing flames with a jet of water. After several minutes and several recastings by the entire group, they put out the last of Isaac's little fire. "Dammit Isaac. Why the hell did you...nevermind." he muttered. Facing the soot-striken group, he looked around for Kasey. "Oi Nurse, you still alive?" he shouted, looking under some of the rubble. Shaking some dirt out of his hair, he smiled to the group and said "I'll be going now." then headed out of the double doors.

Rezna gasped as her spell destroyed a bed next to where the demon had stood only moments earlier. Not expecting that response, the girl had no time to created a sheild charm. Taking numerous bits of plastic and wood straight at her chest, she fell backwards against another bed.
Smoke and ash stung her eyes making it hard to see. Still, straining well ahead of her, she could see that the demon was no longer there. Letting out a raspy breath, she let the knife drop down by her side. With that hand still shaking, she allowed the others to set out the fires, for frankly she had no strength to move.
Am I insane, you wonder? Have I gone off the deep end? Anything is possible, I suppose, though I do have to admit, I did have ulterior motives than checking up on Ark. They are you, Miss Night. You brought this upon yourself and your friends.
She listened to the voice in her head and recorded each word to memory, knowing full well that the burning Hospital Wing was no time or place for her to try and sort that out. At least she knew that Ark was not the Demon's target and that the real reason for the disturbance was Star. Of course, that didn't settle Rezna's nerves one bit.
"I'll be going now."
Unlucky for him, Rezna lay right before the double doors when he said it. Raising her right arm ever so slowly, Rezna aimed it precisely at Ark's retreating figure.
"Petrificus Totalus!" she cried again hoping that this time no one was going to get hurt the same way she had previously.
At least, she hoped no one but Ark got hurt. His memory return also brought back her anger and hate for him, and his attempt at hurting and possibly killing Aylen. There was no way in hell that Rezna was going to let Ark go free. On the contrary, she was going to make it her personal mission to find him and bring him back to their smoking little party, despite her wounds.

The door swung just in time, blocking the spell from hitting his unprotected back. "Bye to you to Rezna!" he shouted, laughing until his voice couldn't be heard.

Rezna swore as her spell rebounded yet again. Pushing herself up off her feet, she grunted in pain as she made her way over to the doors. Pushing them aside, she saw Ark as he was about to round the corner.
"Stupefy!" she cried and watched as her spell made contact. Turning, she turned her attention to her main priority, her friends, who were still inside the room.
The doorway acted as a vacuum pulling all the smoke out into the hallway. Coughing, the blond girl fought the clouds of sooth as she reentered the room.
"Aylen, Ondrea, Star," she rasped as she tried to look for them inside, but her eyes burned too much to keep them opened for long. The fires were out, but the room was still deprived of oxygen. Turning to face the windows, Rezna decided to get the smoke out as quickly as she could.
"Evanesco!" she coughed as she aimed her signature spell towards the windows. For a second, the magical barriers the nurse placed on them held. But Rezna's urge was greater and with an audible pop, the glass disappeared from the frame.
Slowly but surely, the smoke escaped out of the room and outside. The blond girl repeated her spell as often as she had the strength for. Picking up a heavy box full of surgical tools, she had the urge to throw that at the remaining few widows but decided that the glass shattering would do more harm than good. Besides, she had already caused enough damage.
"Is everyone all right?" she asked, as she finally saw the others in a far corner of the room. "We need to get out of here," she coughed as she pulled Ondrea up by her hand. "Ark should be outside all ready," she spat out furious at his selfish attempted escape. Rezna's head swam as the smoke settled on her lungs. She started coughing which brought on more pain and caused her shirt to soak up even more blood. "Hurry!"

Starlit heard her name called. Trying to see through the thick black smoke she cried out, "Rezna! Aylen! Nurse! We are over here!" When she spoke her lungs filled with more of the choking air. Lifting a hand to her mouth, she covered it as she coughed to try to let less smoke through.
Still trying to put out the fire she felt her energy lessen. Blood soaked through her black robes and ran down her neck form the wound on the back of her head. Unable to keep up using the spell for fear of passing out and dying among the flames she glanced desperately around for anything that could help.
Across the Wing though she heard the spell again. Soon the fire was put out by Ark. The smoke did not leave the room though. She heard spells shouted, failing, somebody was trying to leave.
The smoke started to escape through the now open door and glass free windows. Everyone seemed to have been effected by the shower of metal, wood and plastic bits. Eyes stinging, she closed them, knowing that to rub them would only make it worse.
Rezna was right they had to get out of there. Coughing harder and harder, neither exhaling, nor inhaling seemed to work to lessen it. Suddenly Star had the feeling of a fish out of water, without air not even the most powerful of people could survive. Blood stained through the back and her now torn, black robes.
Although they were not out yet, she was relieved that everyone had survived the fire. This should not have happened, not here. At least there were no patients, Star was still troubled by Isaacs comment, was this all her fault. It is, this is my fault, she thought as she looked with burning eyes at the destroyed wing.

Ondrea looked around, the flames were dying, but not the smoke, which happened to be troubling her the most. Hurriedly going through her handy back-pack, she found herself her asthma spray; taking a quick whiff of it, she plopped it back in her bag. However her lungs still were weak, and felt like they were collapsing, she took her shirt, and covered her mouth and nose; this way she would have access to cleaner oxygen.
Her eyes burnt like hell, but there was no time at all to complain about this, Ark had left. Selfish little bugger... God am I going to get him... Ondrea thought to herself, her thoughts were also swarmed with swearing.
Taking Reznas hand, she got up to her feet, "Thanks," Glancing at all of her friends, she added in, "Yeah, let's hurry, we need an explanation!" Ondrea breathed in the disgusting thick air that filled the room, "Is everyone all right?"
Heading toward where Ark had left, she put her hand on Star's shoulder, and whispered into her ear, "Don't listen to what that demon said. He is insane, you did nothing; none of this is your fault, and I am so sorry for ever asking for you to come... Just remember he isn't in the right of mind, so what he said was meaningless." Ondrea offered her friend a reassuring smile, and then turned toward the door, "Rezna, do you think you got him with your stupefy spell?" she asked, hopefully she did.

As the students slowly recovered from Isaac's onslaught, the Wing seemed to return to normal.
However, the little voice, like a quiet sprite speaking in Star's ear, returned.
Remember little girl, this is all your doing. No matter where you go, the people you come in contact with will be in danger. Remember that.
Then, as the voice faded, every bed in the Wing lifted off the floor and began flying about, inevitably rushing towards the weakened students.

Rezna's blond hair whipped about as she turned to face the wing again. Something was moving towards her through the cloud of smoke. The noise of a dozen beds lifting of the floor was terrifying, especially when she could not see what the flying objects were.
The front end of a bed flew toward the blond with incredible precision and speed. Turning around, Rezna's only reaction and means of saving herself and Ondrea from being impaled by the bed was to push Ondrea forcefully against the double doors while following her in an awkward land dive. As the both of them fell hard against the floor, the bed flew past them only inches form their heads.
Coughing, Rezna pushed herself off the floor and turned to face the room again. The others were still inside and still in danger. Pulling out her battered wand, Rezna took a few deep breaths of clean air before reentering the Wing.
The darkness inside made it impossible to see as well as breath. "Impedimenta! Impedimenta! Impedimenta!" she repeated aiming her spells above her head, not really sure whether she was making contact or not. Once a bed rammed her into her side, causing her to fall onto the Hospital Wing floor. A few bits of wood and metal from the shattered bed dug into her palms, but she didn't' feel a thing. Simply after that she continued forward in a more crouched position.
