The ghost fell back with a sigh of relief and went through a chair.
It was good to see Xavier open his eyes and be awake and alive.
She brought Xavier a bowl of soup and a blanket, and sat next to him to make sure he was really alive.
"Thank you," She said, looking up at the angel with her bright green eyes.
"Thank you for not performing your usual work," The dead girl said as she turned back to Xavier.
"It's good to have you back, we don't want to lose you, it would be too much for this place." The phantom said, keeping her purple hair out of her face.

Slowly, Xavier's vision began to clear. As it did so, he took in his surroundings. High, almost cavernous ceiling. Long, wide corridor. White beds with curtains. He was in the Hospital Wing! Xavier was even more surprised to look at who was with him. He would have expected a nurse or a nurse's attendant. Instead he was greeted by three characters. He instantly recognized two of them, Shae and Madden. But he had no idea who the angelic character was. After smiling at Shae and gratefully taking the soup, Xavier's head turned towards the figure.
"I heard a voice calling to me just before I came to. Was that you? If it was, then thank you. I feared that I'd be stuck in that state forever."
When Shae spoke to Xavier again, he smiled weakly and nodded at her.
"My pleasure, Shae. It's good to know someone besides the Tunnel Lycans care for me."
Xavier then noticed Madden, who since the lake had concealed herself completely. She looked rather ridiculous, and Xavier couldn't help but grin.
"Madden? I would have thought that you'd stay by the lake. After all, you barely know me. I would have thought that you would just go back to swimming in your underwear," he said cheekily.

Madden was still trying to adjust from the scene just before. She shook her head at the voices and tried to listen. Xavier was better now. And...she should have stayed out of it. She mumbled out an apology and a blush. She never should have come out of the water. Xavier was the first, and Ferrion the second, male to see so much as her arms since she had left home, and even before that of her own free will. At the thought, she started sliding her hands over her forarms. She bit her lip, mentally scolding herself, but kept her face blank for the most part. Standing, she excused herself in a small, ashamed voice. Striding toward the door, she reached up and ran a hand through her hair, bringing it down in front of her face. This was how she greeted people: fully covered, drawn into herself, and looking as if she weren't worthy of much notice. She walked with her head bowed and her shoulders forward, slouching slightly. maybe no one would notice her this way...

The ghost shook her head sadly as she watched Madden leave the Hospital Wing.
The poor girl had clearly had a troubled childhood, but the phantom knew there wasn't anything she could do about it if the girl wouldn't open up and allow help. But the dead girl wasn't really very good at that sort of thing anyway.
"That was very cheeky, Xavier." She said sternly, before a smile broke out on her face.
"Welcome back."

Xavier was startled at Madden's frightened response to his comment. He frowned and reached out with a hand as to grab her and keep her from leaving.
"Madden, wait! I'm sorry! Don't go...please?"
Nice one, Xavier. Scared off a pretty young thing like her with a rude comment as always. F-ing genius work, Einstein.
Xavier slapped his temple, angrily trying to get rid of the voice. After mentally kicking himself a few more times, Xavier turned to Shae and gave her a weak smile as he stirred his spoon around in the soup. He wasn't hungry.
"Thanks...I think. Who's the stranger?" he said, pointing a thumb at Ferrion.

The ghost's look was best described as when the face tilts away, but the eyes stay put, like an exhausted mother looks at her favourite child who won't go to sleep.
"Best to let him tell you that, and you eat that soup. Just because you're not hungry doesn't mean your body doesn't need food after all that it just went through." She said, getting up to go and look at the other dificulties in the Wing.
"I'll be back in half an hour to check on you. I want you to still be in that bed." She said as she turned away.

Madden hadn't gone too far. She went to the library. It was closed this time of night, but she didn't care. She needed to see her books. She needed to get lost in Treasure Island or The Chronicles of Narnia or Uncle Tom's Cabin. Any book, any book at all, would do. When she got there, she reached for the key she kept on her nacklace, the one the librarian had given her out of trust, and let herself in. (OOC:I'm going to continue this in the library. Insomniac Slumber. If anyone wants to join, feel free, but you by no means have to. Just, whatever.)
