Kasey nodded at all the instructions after she was back on the bed. She could feel it, the same horrible feeling she had been getting for the past few long hours, holding Elorra and Zeion's hands she gripped as hard as she could and pushed hard. Her scream was strained and one of aniguish, she could feel the energy begining to slowly drain from her body.

The phantom had shifted to the other end of Kasey. Admittedly, she couldn't touch the child, but she really just had to give a yell when if ther ehad to be some pulling as well as pushing.
With all of her practice, it should be easy enough to catch th child and hold it in the air long enough for one of the others to wipe him or her - she didn't know yet - up a little, and then wrap them in a blanket.
"Again Kasey. Push!" She said, seeing just the crown of the child, but not yet the whole head.

Kasey still held on tight, breathing rapidly as if she had just run a marathon, Shae indicated that she needed to push again, the nurse wanted to protest but as Shae had said the nurse had delivered and seen babies delivered and she new there was no way out. Holding on to her husband and her best friend she gave another push, screaming again in anguish sweat rolling off her face and body.

The head was through, but there was trouble.
"I'm going to need some warm, solid hands down here. The head is through, and it needs to be held up so that the rest of the body can follow through." She said, desperately keeping the panic out of her voice.
The phantom hadn't mentioned that she thought she saw the umbilical chord wrapped around the child's neck.
"You're doing really well, Kasey." She said, not looking her head nurse in the eye.

Kasey was taking rapid breaths savoring the few moments without a contraction, she was obviously to out of it to notice Shae not looking a her, normally the nurse could have told in an instant that there was something that Shae was not telling her, but not this time. Looking around at the three others who had gathered in the room, Kasey's blue eyes went to Zeion "Z..Zeion help her" she said her voice exhausted and weak "I..if you can't....El..Elorra will you help Shae?" she asked looking at the Faeire. Kasey wanted to babble on about how she understood it was probabley not the best site in the world, but she couldn't seem to find the strength.

Zeion lokked to Kasey and said."I'll do it...It's our child after all."Zeion said removing his hand from hers and held the childs head."Like this Shea?"He asked just lifting it bearly above the bed.

Kasey watched as Zeion left her side, she mouthed him a thank you and braced herself for the next push that she could feel coming.

The ghost nodded.
"That's right, gentle and supporting." She said.
"Again Kasey." The phantom breathed.
"The whole body should follow the head now, then we've only got to get out the placenta, and make sure the baby is healthy." And get the tangled umbilical chord from around the bub's neck.
She swallowed her nerves and kept focused.

Zeion used one hand to hold the head of the baby and then used the other to slowly untangle the baby."Ok Kasey......Don't strain yourslef. It's almost over."Zeion said holding the baby the untangling was done right after that. was done right after he said that.

Kasey held onto the bed and poor Elorra's hand, if the dark haired nurse hadn't broken at least several bones from squeezing her hand, it would be a miracle. Gathering up the last of her strength, Kasey pushed. Her scream echoed around the Wing as she pushed with all she had, as soon as it had started it was over and she collapsed back onto the bed exausted, almost crying herself from the pain and effort.

That scream. Clad in black silk, corsét and scarlet ribbons, the demoness' heeled boots pulsed rapid waves of fear through students as she entered the castle. Her head of long tresses licked the wind that rushed out the door behind her, before snaking around her hips and flickering any time she rounded a corridor's corner. The Hospital Wing wasn't far now. The scent of a newborn child hit her nostrils like smoke to a vixen, a glint of crimson alertness in her eye, as though she had pups somewhere inside her den, and a fire was coming. A thick tail, thick ivory tresses, quick paws, heavy stride, careful eyes, sinister smile, jagged teeth, naturally. Eurus. Her mind whispered, jumping like static through the mind's of the students that plastered themselves against the walls, just to avoid her hair like medusa, fangs of venom reaching out to them, like the macabre nightmare walking through the castle she was. Eurus.Again, sweet melody on sugarcane. Blood in spilt milk. BANG. The door to the Hospital Wing flew open, shuddering on it's hinges and snapping the back-end of it's handle off against the wall, and in addition, taking a small chunk out of the wall to play even. The demoness cracked her neck on it's stilt easily, before hipping her way inside the room slowly, her walk like that of a shadow on snow in winter. Everything was so white. Blood. The first thing she smelt and saw as her clawlike hands came into contact with the screens and pulled them aside. Upright legs in about the most vulnerable position, father by her crotch, faerie at her ear, ghost by her soul. Shae. Mai's scarlet orbs looked distantly upon the phantom, before she resumed her eye on the child. Blood-soaked and sopping with insecurity. Reaching forward she cuffed a hand under the babe, and brought it close to her corsétted chest. Tilting her head to the side, Mai seemed oblivious to the ear-piercing cries of the baby for it's mother. Cruel intentions passed over her features, before a flash of one of the silver instruments by the bed illuminated the onlooker's eyes and the umbilical cord was severed from the child's belly, leaving it to fall like a sickly overgrown worm onto the bed. Resting a hand on the baby's stomach, it soon stopped crying, and Mai proceeded to lean forward, snatch up a blanket, and swiftly cloak the child in a bundle of warmth, stepping back and away from the bed. As her unreadable eyes sifted a calculating glare over the group, she parted her lips as though she were about to say something, but instead, an eerie hum entered the mind's of whoever chose to listen. Eurus.

Eurus.
The thought that whispered through the very minds of those in the room hung for a few seconds, almost tangeable, the metallic taste of blood flowing at the hiss of the last letter in his name. The air sounded a audible crack coming from the demoness's direction, cradling the newborn child that was wrapped in a blanket, a sound that struck fear in any that felt it resound in their chest.
Seconds after, a figure appeared behind Mai, back to the demoness, solid black as his body took shape in the chilling darkness. Clad completely in leather, the demon's translucent skin held an ethereal look, the emptyness portrayed in his features could wither the hearts of the hopeful, strike fear in the minds of the brave, and bring thoughts of failure to the strong willed.
Remarkably, Eurus was just about the same height as Mai this round, his asian features as dark as their cruel intentions. Red locks of hair scattered themselves across his face, head tilted down, the glow of his brightly shining golden eyes visible through the strands.
Click,
The sound of the guards on two guns being released filled the silence of the solid white room, letting the group know he had brought firearms to the little game, and wouldn't have any second thoughts before shooting anyone if they dared to move. Gloved hands gripped them, skin taking its normal deathly white appearance, he released after a few moments of idle thought.
"Let's play a game,"
The words spoken were only audible to Mai, head turning a little to gaze at Zeion. How interesting. In most of the births he's known, the father was usually not even allowed in the room, little left to deliver the child themself. A grin slithered its way across the demon's face, eyes narrowing as they looked at the new father, his gaze as cold as death; as penetrating as the bullets loaded into the guns held in his hands.
"Hello,"
Eurus ran his tongue across his lips, eyes widening just a little as they left Zeion, skirting the room to rest on Elorra. Of course, the happy-go-lucky faerie that was there for emotional support. If her hand was still intact by now, the demon would be surprised. Then again, a sore hand would be the least of her problems very shortly.

Morgan burst back into the room, after having left, and fighting with the stupid house elves. Damn them and their servitude, "I could have made it my self" she had been muttering to herself, as she ran along with "ow ow hot hot!" She said very loudly and sqeakily "I HAVE RETURNED WITH TEA!! AND IT IS HOT!!! Ow! it burns." she ran over to the nurses side and poured a cup of tea. "Be careful its hot...I know, look at my hands....wait after your done with the whole...child birth thing, can you fix them?" She knew this was very tactless, but Morgan wasnt thinking...she was off in Mo land...with burned hands.
ooc: sorry, I had to leave for a few days or so.

The phantom's eyes snapped up when Mai entered, and then another demon, and she wasn't at all sure this was a good thing to be happening.
"Mai, please give the baby to his mother." The final push had proved the child's sex.
"Kasey, I'm sorry, you need to give one more push to get the placenta out. Then it's all over." She said, her eyes on the child in Mai's arms, and the demon behind her.
"Please Mai." She said before almost bursting into laughter when she saw Morgan.
"Put it down, Morgan. Kasey has had some tea, but I'm sure her first cup is empty now. Sit and calm down."
The dead girl still didn't like the idea of there being two demons at the birth, but she couldn't banish them, and it had been a long time since she had seen Mai.
Then she heard the click.
"You will put those guns away right now. The Hospital Wing is no place for a shoot out, it is a place for healing and life, but if you want trouble I will have no qualms about reaching my frozen hand into your chest and freezing up whatever runs through your viens." The phantom girl said to the shadow that had solidified behind Mai.

The gun was a bit much though his eyes were glaring he had the situation under contorl but demons."Ok you with the guns put them away....As Shea siad."Zeion said he tapped the floor with his foot. He didn't like this one bit now."This is no place for both of you..Give the baby to Kasey."
