Ooc: okay, I know that the other thread isn’t exactly finished yet, but I will be finishing it off hopefully sometime in the next few days, but just getting the plot moving along a little. Don’t hate me ^^
Bic: Two girls were heading towards the hospital wing. The sky had reached its darkest now, and so the two figures weren’t recognisable until they stepped into the dim light that the candles in the hospital wing offered. Both girls were dripping ice cold water from their hair and clothes. However one seemed to be more unaffected by it than the other. Something else was bothering the blonde haired girl who had entered the wing.
Whilst Hayzie had been on her underwater adventure, a mermaid had placed a curse on her, leaving the majority of her body covered in blue scales, the bottoms of her fingers were seemingly attached by what looked like jelly, but not see through, and her lips had gone a cerulean colour and felt slippery rather than the dry feeling they usually had. Now, Hayz wished that she had done something about her dry lips before. But that couldn’t be thought about right now.
Hikalyn’s reaction reminded her too much of when the blonde was in St. Mungo’s after having her hand bitten off, and she couldn’t help but think that other people’s reactions may be the same.
Looking around the hospital wing, and trying to control the shivering, the Prefect tried to find Kasey, or someone that could help with trying to remove the curse and get her back to normal.

Lucian walked into the Hospital Wing looking for a cure for his burnt hand. He had been praticing a fire spell but it backfired and scortched his hand rather badly. He looked over to see a blue girl. He payed her no mind till a second later when he toke a second look and saw who it was. "Hayzie!" he ran over to her "What happened, who did this, where did you..." he styopped and his face tuned red "You went after that cure didn't you, and i said not without me." he looked anger but he was more consern with her wellbeing "We will talk later, are you ok?"

In usual circumstances, Hayz would have smiled, but now she found herself unable to. Her lips were to slippery to form even the simplest of words. Giving a small sigh, the blonde was forced to revert to telepathy.
"I'm fine... just... feeling a little blue," the Prefect started, trying to find some humour in the situation. Maybe it would lessen the angry red colour in Lucian's face a little if he saw something funny in it.

Lucian looked at her then grinned "Serves you right Hayz, i hope the nurse takes ages to get here, or that you have to stay that way forever a blue and slippery Lycan." he laughed. He was being mean and he knew it but he was upset with her. He smirked 'Anh i am just playing but we do need to talk later i am not a happy camper Hayzie."

Hayzie wasn't sure if even Kasey would be able to undo this spell. The mermaid semed to have put it on fast, and not just in speed, but also in security. It felt to the blonde as though her skin was being suffocated underneath the many layres of scales.
This was just like St. Mungo's all over again...
"I didn't realise you liked camps?" she shrugged, suddenly feeling more confused than ever. This wasn't going to be good, at all...

Lucian smiled "It was a joke." he pointed his wand at her "Aqudius." a fount of water washed over her "I think you might be in pain if those scales dry up." he said with a tone that was friendly and the same as he normaly spoke to her like.

"Thanks," Hayz sent back, feeling better for the fresh burst of water that rinsed over her slight frame. It made her shiver a little, but the scales on her legs drying up was the last thing she wanted at that moment.
"Kasey, are you here?" the blonde called out, hoping her friend would be somewhere nearby, and hoping she had an idea as to how this could be undone.

One other figure shuffled into the Hospital Wing along with Hayz, and her skin was almost as blue as Hayzie's, altered as the Gryffindor girl was by the mermaid's curse--but in Hikalyn's case, this rather unflattering shade was induced by nothing more sinister than prolongued exposure to the cold. It was a fairly chill night to begin with, and the fact that she, along with Hayzie and Isaac, had spent a good chunk of that evening submerged in the frigid waters of the still partly-frozen lake had likely not helped matters much.
She didn't know the boy who had entered the wing nursing a burned hand, but he obviously knew Hayzie fairly well. The Head Girl held silent as the two conversed, more than happy to remain unnoticed. She dropped back from the pair a few steps, trying to keep her shivers to herself and flexing her hands, which were slowly and somewhat painfully regaining their mobility and their feeling.
Like Hayz, the Slyth girl was soaking wet. Water streaked her face in cool ribbons and dripped steadily from her ebony tresses, which were plastered tightly to her face. Her clothes were soaked through, and even the cloak which enfolded her shoulders was limp and heavy with water. Other than the shivers that she couldn't quite supress, though, Hikalyn hardly seemed to register the discomfort.
Her gaze drifted out the window, though there wasn't much to see there. The sky was inky black in the breaks between one heavy cloud and the next, all but obscuring the starlight. Not even the moon was visible.
Her eyes flicked back to her more immediate surroundings as she heard Hayz call out telepathically for the nurse. Kalyn allowed herself a slight sigh. She'd rather be spending her time just about anywhere else, but she figured that she could at least stick around and keep her friend company until Kasey arrived and was--hopefully--able to lift the mermaid's curse.

It was once more Carrie's shift. The nighttime shift was definately her favourite. It meant that she didn't have to deal with the students who were coming in from classes saying they weren't feeling very well. For some reason, most seemed to come from the potions classroom.
The brown haired nurse was just putting on her white coat and pulling her hair back into a ponytail when she picked up sounds of conversation from the next room. It seemed she had patients already.
Carrie buttoned up her coat as she walked, and was in the process of doing up the bottom button as she put on a friendly smile to greet her patients with.
That button didn't get fastened.
"Wh-Wh-" she started, but shook her head quickly. Worrying wouldn't do much good, but it was still a part of the brown headed nurse's personality that she had yet to dispose of.
Blinking once or twice, she finally jolted into action. One of the girls had turned blue all over, it seemed, though the dark headed girl seemed to be shivering uncontrollably, the blonde girl appeared to be adept to the temperature, despite the fact her legs and lips had gone blue.
Getting two blankets from out of the office, the brunette girl wrapped them around each girl in turn, ensuring they were tightly wrapped to keep as much warmth in as possible. They would need it.
Next, it didn't take Carrie long to conjour up two cups of steaming hot tea, and she handed a mug to both of the girls, hoping they would be able to tell her what happened without their teeth chattering so much.
Then, it hit her. Why hadn't she thought this up before? A drying spell. Both girls were soaked. Pulling out her wand, the spell was cast, and the majority of the water disappeared from the girl's skin, but the blue of the blonde girl's still seemed shiny.
Knitting her eyebrows together, Carrie tried to think of an explanation for it, but could think of none Looking at her legs, because for some reason the girl was wearing shorts on a winters day, they looked to have scales on them.
"Would someone like to explain to me what happened?" she asked, while leading the boy over to a tap to put his burnt hand under. "Keep that under the cold tap until I say so, okay? Then you can have a lolly," she informed him, turning back to the girls, unsure which case to deal with first.
OOC: Sorry. I meant to post last night, but we had a series of powercuts.

ooc: Forgive my lazyness folks.... bic: Kasey had been sitting in her office reading through some paper work, feeling quite frustrated. Suddenly she heard " Kasey, are you here?" echo in her head. The voice sounded very familiar. The blonde girl looked up from her paper work ' Hayzie?' she sent out in reply. Standing up from her desk, she picked up her stethoscope and opened her office door. Stepping out of her office and out into the Wing, Kasey soon came face to face with the blonde Gryffindor Prefect, Hayzie, and the schools Head Girl Hikalyn. "Hayzie I though it was you" Kasey said approching her friend. She smiled and to Carrie and greeted her "Evening Carrie, what do we have?" she asked looking at the three students dotted around the Wing.

Hikalyn would have been just as happy to remain in the background unnoticed, but the warmth provided by the thick blanket that the brown-haired woman had wrapped around her certainly did not go unappreciated. Kalyn offered the woman a grateful smile as she reached out to accept one of the steaming mugs that the brunette had conjured up. She didn't drink, just let the feel of its warmth seep into her hands as she seated herself on the edge of one of the beds.
When the nurse inquired as to what had happened, Hikalyn didn't answer right away. Her amethyst eyes flicked towards Hayz, not quite certain of how to respond. It seemed obvious that the nurse would have to know what had happened before she could do anything to reverse the curse that the mermaid had laid on Hayzie, but some if that tale, she recognized, wasn't really her place to tell. Such as just why they'd ended up wandering into a mermaid's cave in the first place.
But when she glanced over at the Gryffindor girl, she found no clues in her blonde-haired friend's expression. To cover her silence while she gathered her thoughts, she raised the mug to her lips and sipped at the dark liquid.
"We ran across a mermaid who was rather... antagonized by our presence," she said at last. She knew that the sketchy explanation would likely raise more questions than answers, but she thought it best that she let Hayz tell the rest of it how she wanted. It was largely her story, after all; really, Kalyn was only along for the ride.
She took another long drink of the tea, trying without much success to control her shivers. It felt good to be dry again, though, even if she wasn't exactly warm. With her free hand, she pulled the blanket a little tighter around her, then looked up as a door on the other side of the Hospital Wing swung open.
Hikalyn managed another small smile in greeting as the golden-haired Hufflepuff moved across the room to join them. "Evening, Kase."

The brunette nurse listened and watched carefully to the dark-haired girl before even thinking of answering Kasey. The way her eyes flittered over to the blonde girl, almost as though she was waiting for her to speak. "A mermaid?" Carrie asked, raising a brow in puzzlement. Of course, Rose and Claire had explained about the far side of the lake when she started, but never did the nurse think she would have to deal with anything from them.
Turning back to Kasey, the brown-eyed nurse tried to comprehend everything, or rather the very little that had been said. "By the sounds of things, we have a couple of troublemakers who go wehre they shouldn't go," Carrie replied, knowing full well that the other nurse had heard what the dark-haired girl had said, but her interpretation of it probably wasn't the best.
Shaking her head a little, Carrie looked towards the silent blonde girl. Already she was confused. Was the dark-haired girl Hayzie? Or the blonde? Or the boy over at the sink?
Clasping her hands behind her back, Carrie started to rock on her heels, and tried to give Kasey a different answer.
"Possible pnenomia?" she squeaked.

Hayzie hadn't been listening in on the conversation at all. Instead, the Lycan girl had been daydreaming out of one of the far windows of the Wing. Her green eyes had glazed over, and her movements when reaching out for the cup of tea had been automatic, almost robotic. She was grateful for the warmth without a doubt. It wasn't until Kalyn spoke that she finally snapped out of it.
Trying to speak some words, the only noises that came out wouldn't have been understood by the other four in the room, however the mermish was completely understandable to the blonde girl.
Scrunching her eyes up in frustration, Hayz reverted back to telepathy.
'This is annoying me already! You guys have got to help me get this thing off! The mermaid... she... she's put a curse on me... with a kind of poem! And then this happened. I can't even talk or walk properly. It's like....like my legs are trying to stick together or something!'
The blonde girl's tone was filld with nothing but despair and anxiety. It was ironic in a way. The Prefect was trying to get out of being one magical creature, but instead got turned half way into another.
It was then Hayzie decided irony wasn't something she liked.
Flopping back into the seat, Hayzie closed her eyes and tried to unravel the mermaid's spell, but with very little success.
'I don't even know what this spell is!' she whined, but one word at the very end stuck out from all the rest.
'No...' Hayzie's telepathic voice almost whispered.

Kasey nodded to Carrie and moved over to Hazyie. She looked at her friend and shook her head You are really having a bad run aren't you she said trying to make the blonde girl feel a little more comfortable So a curse you say, hmmm interesting. Frankly Im puzzled, but I promise you we will work something out. It was at times like these she thanked all of the creatures and humans that came through here that could speak telepathically, a technique she had picked up.
Looking over to Hikayln she smiled "Evening Kayln" she replied to her friend with a smile, even though the reply was delayed, the final acknowledgement was all that mattered to her "If you don't mind, I think we best start with Hayzie over here, it looks as if this curse is taking effect and taking effect fast".
