Persephone had stayed at school for the winter holidays. She had no place else to go, other than the orphanage, and she really didn't want to return there. It brought back too many memories, and she couldn't bring herself to face that pain again.
So she'd stayed here. Her friends had kept her company, and she felt for once like she'd belonged. Laughter and happiness filled in the holes that doubt and rejection had created. After six years of being here, for once she felt content.
But that contentment had led to boredom. She'd found herself with nothing to do today. Usually in her boredom she would have headed out to the Quidditch pitch for a practice, but not today. There was at least a foot of snow out there, and she wasn't even going to attempt to fly in that.
She'd headed up here then. The library was probably her favorite place in the castle. She felt comfortable surrounded by the old tombs. And now she needed a good book to banish the boredom.
As she entered the library, she looked around. She might be able to find a familiar face, and hopefully a book. But first she'd find a good book and then look for a friend.
So, where do I want to start? I could look up some more cures, or I could go bury my head in some fantasy book. Hmm...or I could wander around with out a clue and see what I find...
Sephe picked the last one, and the small Prefect wandered down the rows of books. Her emerald eyes scanned the rows of books, and part of her wondered if she'd find a friend here.

Samantha had walked out of the empty Common Room bothered that no one was around to talk to. She didn't want to kill her happy spirit by getting lonely. She pulled her hair back while walking through the almost empty halls, and felt a few pieces fall around her face in little curls. "Damn hair." she muttered. Her flip flops made noise to make up for the silence that would fill the space between the big stone walls surrounding her.
She pushed open the big doors into the Library and smiled as she saw the huge towering rows of books and the lovely atmosphere the whole room had. She tried to quiet her shoes, and slowing meandered through the shelfs. Her blue jeans were ripped at the knees, and she had a green tight tee shirt on, matching the pale color her eyes were that day. She had a black sweater wrapped around her waist. You would have thought she really didn't notice the snow outside.
As she piled books down onto a near by table she noticed a small light blond haired girl. From the back it looked like Sephe. She thought it must be her. "Sephe!" She loudly whispered, a little questioningly, not really looking toward the person, just in case it wasn't her.

Persephone was still scanning the titles of the books. The more she scanned the more she wondered exactly what she was looking for. Finally she saw something that looked slightly good, and started to grab for the leather bound book.
"Sephe!"
She grabbed the book, and turned at the sound of a familar voice. She knew who it was before she had even turned to see the pale green eyes and light hair of Sam. Her friend's voice was unimistakeable to her.
She turned to walk over towards her friend, her book in her hand. It was nice to have Sam up here. She was glad to not be alone, and to have a friend to talk, even if they weren't really supposed to be talking. It was more like you could talk, as long as you didn't bother anyone.
"Hey Sam," she whispered back to her friend once she was close enough that she was certain she could hear her.
"What's up?"
She was grinning and she couldn't help herself.

Samantha laughed to herself. So, it was her friend, and not some random weird person. Sam smiled at her. "Well, whats up? The ceiling as far as I know.." She said, looking up. Again she looked at her friend. "I am wishing I had a boy." She said. "However, now I am at the library, with you, who I have heard through the grape vine of small friends you have one?" She added, raising her eye brows questioningly. "A boy, I mean." She said, a little laughter in her voice.
She had heard a bit ago about Sephe having a love interest and had wanted to speak with her friend about it, but never really ran into her alone. Sam sat down in a chair, and motioned to the other one for her friend.

Persephone laughed at Sam's joke, and blushed when Sam spoke of Daemon. It seemed that Sam had found out abou that. It occured to her then that she'd competly forgotten to tell her friend about Daemon while she'd been filling her in. It seemed amazing that she had forgotten such an important thing.
When Sam gestured for her to take a seat, she did so. Her body collapsing in the chair in that mixture of youth and grace. Her face was still flushed, and so were the tips of her ears.
"Yeah. Daemon...I'm sorry I forgot to tell you about him." Even though she was blushing she still couldn't help but smile at her boyfriend's name.

Sam laughed like some little school girl. "I haven't met this boy...Hmm..." She said watching her friend blush. "How simply adorable." She said, with a smile.
"Good for you dear!" She said. "No, its okay, I mean filling your best friend in about a new boyfriend. Not important." She said, jokingly. She smirked at her friend. She must really like him. And he must like her, how could someone not like Sephe. "I wish I had the beauty and charm you do." She said, smiling at Sephe. "When did this happen?" She asked.

"Right before the holidays. I met him before and we were friends, but then he asked me out on a date, and I was like 'Oh my...' because I really liked him."
She turned to face Sam. She was practically beaming and radiating with joy. Who would have thought that having a boyfriend that she cared about so much would do this to her? What would she feel like if they broke up?
She didn't like to think about that, and didn't. In her mind, it was best to just live with the here and now, and the here and now was pretty darn good.
"And Sam you do have beauty and charm. I'm sure some guy will sweep you off you're feet!"

Sam smiled, her friend was so happy. Thats what Sephe needed in her life. With the stress of Prefect-ism, and all her duty's and finding time to relax, and hang with her friends. She needed to have someone who could make her as happy as her friend seemed now.
"I need to meet him, and thats that." She said with a smirk. "No, I would like a boy, but I have you, and so I'll live.." She said with a laugh. "But, I wouldn't decline a boy..if anyone were ever to fall for an ugly, smart, artist! She said, laughing a little still.
Sam sighed. She loved how much time she had been able to spend with her best friend these days.

Persephone couldn't help but grin when Sam said she had Seph and that was enough, but wouldn't decline a guy. And Persephone decided that she would be on a mission to find Sam a guy, a really good hot guy who would tell her friend how pretty she really was.
"I'm sure he'll want to meet you too, and I bet you'd find a way to meet him no matter what!"
She couldn't help but smile at that. Sam could be quite determined at times, and even if Daemon hid from her, she'd still find a way to get to him. Nothing would stop her best friend. Not even walls, or passwords, or guys that seemed to disappear. Nope nothing.
"Sam...I think I'm gonna find you a boy soon!"

Sam smiled at her friend. She loved her to death. The locket around her neck was proof.
"I do hope your up for a challenge then!" She said in reply to her finding Sam a boy. "AH! I am madly in love with you deary. Your such a super friend." She said.
"We must go out sometime. And drink and be merry, butter beer of course...I didn't mean liquor...We should though. Your man could come and I could meet him and make sure he is up to my approval.." She rambled along. Laughing, but she knew any boy that made Sephe happy, was good enough.

"Sounds like a good idea to me! I'm sure you'll like him. He has that dark and mysterious look, and then you kinda realize he's a big puppy dog. And, maybe he can bring a guy friend of his along?" She gave Sam a side ways look.
Sam was her best friend. It would be great to have her approval of Daemon, because she had this feeling like his friends didn't approve of her. Not that she really minded, they had been polite to her afterall, and that was good. And then again, Sam was her friend and the closest thing she had to family. Getting her approval was like having her own mothers, and she would be content knowing Sam liked him.

"We'll have to do that soon.." She said. Samantha looked at Sephe. Thinking of the last time the two had been in the library together. That dreadful book. What a day that had been. She laughed just thinking about it.
"Hey..Remember the last time you and me were in the library together?" She asked her friend, as she opened the locket around her neck. She loved to look at the picture. It was so funny to think about when they had first met. Sam thought they had met up in the Girls Dorm, around Sephe's first day- but she didn't know that for sure.
"It's so crazy to think about back then.." She said, wondering what would be different now if the school hadn't changed so much. She wondered if more people who have been left at the school. But she couldn't complain to much, she was happy now.
[ooc: im so muse-less....]

"Yeah, I remember. I wonder if that book's still here, or if someone took it out of here. I don't think many kids would believe our warning. Still, you have to admit things were pretty crazy back then."
She smiled back at those days. They'd met on her first day. She'd gone to the dorm, but she had been to shy to just barge in on the other girls. Sam had noticed her first, and she'd seemed to be friends with her ever since.
And so many people from back then aren't here anymore. It's weird, but at least I still have my best friend.

Samantha looked around then nearly empty library and remembered that people were still on holiday. She looked over at Sephe.
" I wonder if that dreaded thing is still here. We should steal it, and burn it or something..." She said. "You know, just for something to do.." She said, laughing. The long days in the empty castle gave you weird ideas like that when you got bored.
"Come here for anything in particular?" She asked, hoping she hadn't interrupted her friends studying or anything.

"Yeah, it would definetly get rid of the darn thing. I mean, why even keep a book like that in here? The librarian should at least put the warning on it, not leave it to the students."
She scrunched her nose together, and her brows drew together in a tight V. She looked funny, but then again, Sephe never did pull off the evil and mad look. She just kinda had that sincere happiness, and anger never fit it.
