^^Ark skidded to a halt just outside the door. He had ran down the steps and almost missed his class. As he walked in, winded, he glanced at the teacher. More than a little intimidated, he began the potion.
Glancing more than once at the book, he got the powdered asphodel root, Re'em blood, crushed slizard spine, and he withdrew a cup from his bag and filled it with water.
He first set his cauldron to a medium flame and poured in the filtered water and waited for it to simmer. After 3 minutes, the water began to simmer and he began to and the oz. of asphodel root, powdering in into a fine dust. Ark stirred counter-clockwise, only stopping to low the intensity like the book instructed.
Fishing an evaporation dish out of his potions bag, he began to mix the lizard spine and the Blood. He was fairly disgusted with both as he mixed. Finally, after many mixes of smells from the other students' potions, he added the mix to the cauldron.
Prodding the bottom of the cauldron with his wand to both turn up the heat and to concentrate it, Ark sighed. This was a fairly easy potion but he was great at them. After a few tense moments, the potion began to turn mint and a white froth appeared. "YES!" he thought, not daring to speak in her room. He quickly turned the flame off and did the other assignment while the potion cooled.

Assignment 1A
1. In your opinion, what is the greatest use of sleeping potions?
I think the greatest use is for those who are in pain. Healers could help you without having to deal with spasms or worry of getting hurt themselves.
2. Briefly describe the advancements made to the basic sleeping potion over time.
Before, they made weak potions that only made you nap, not go into a deep sleep. Also, nowadays we have many different variations of the Potion like the Eternal Sleeping Potion and potions that could last of the span of one night to months.
3. Think! If the drinkers of an Eternal Sleep potion had not given their friends any knowledge to aid them in their awakening, how are we able to both reproduce the potion and offer an antidote for it today?
If the creators took it right after it was done, their supplies would still be out and there would probably still be froth resisdue in the cauldron.[/glow]
5 mins. had past so Ark began to draw out the size 3 vial he had to use and filled it with the potion and stuck a cork in it. He then sat it on the Professor's desk and came back. Ark sat down again and answered the final question.
[glow=gold,2,300]4. Because I am curious, and I am sure that you will have no problem with answering this, tell me about yourself in a maximum of five sentences.

15/20 - Sloppy work on both aspects. You seem like you really want to learn; prove it. Please refrain from using such lurid ink - I do not enjoy reading glowing text.[/color]
