"Now that we all know what we are up against, why don't we have a little more action and a little less arguing and debate?"
She had slipped in through the door while the group was distracted, at first not trying to call attention to the bad example that she was setting. Late for breakfast- what kind of display was that? Her muggle alarm had failed to go off that morning and Lottie must have been off somewhere else, or simply failed to wake her. Hence her rather ragged appearence as she entered, her cloak fully on with the hood all the way up to hide her mussed-up hair. She wore no shoes upon her feet, simply because she hadn't felt like it. The floor beneath her feet was cool and refreshing, and woke her up enough to comment on the group's discussion. Hopefully it would go better than the little meeting that Aylen had called in the Tower.
"We cannot just stand around talking about things." She said, lowering her hood so as to throw her hair up into a bun. "Because nothing will get done. Will we ever all agree on something? No. We are too different to agree upon everything. But the one thing that we can decide upon is that we must act. We must act NOW. There has to be the formation of a plan that includes everyone according to what they do best, and then perhaps we can go from there."
Once done, Faye leaned over and withdrew a bannana from the fruit bowl upon the table. While she would have prefered to have something like waffles or pancakes, she would take what she could get. Perhaps later she could return for something more substantial, but all the tension in the room drove away her appetite.

Roan listened in on what Forgoil said, determined to ignore Ashlle. She was tired of fighting with the girl, it was getting on her nerves and the nerves of everyone around her. The Hufflepuff wanted as much information on the attacks as possible. When she heard that there was a demon on the run as well as the lycan, she nearly jumped from her seat. A demon? A demon!?!?! Fenris was bad enough, but there is also a demon. Ay yi yi... she thought, almost choking on her own saliva. So, there was a lot more to this than a mad lycan randomly running around. But Forgoil said he didnt know the lycans name. At this, Roan closed her eyes, remembering her own nightmares. At first she spoke very quietly, but realized nobody could hear her and started over, her voice strong but quavering. "Fenris Fenrir. That is the lycan's name. Fenris Fenrir. I have had the privaledge of meeting him a couple of times now. Ill never forget that name, and nobody should."
That lycan was the biggest thing on Roan's mind these days. Aparently from Forgoil's words, he had hurt Rezna, one of her only friends in the school. And many many more she knew. In fact, the Hufflepuff would have betted that there were more than 2 or 3 of them right there are that moment who had met Fenris in his rage. But it was good to know nobody had been killed as of late. But how long would that peace last? How long could a death be held off? How long until the school was forced to hold a funeral for some misfortunate student?
"Thank you Forgoil, for that information. We all must know what is going on. My two cents on that is we should talk to the students, see who has been attacked, see what people know. If someone else can ID another of the attackers, or knows something that we dont it can be the difference between life and death of another student. You cant go into a war without being informed. And if we dont act quickly, that is what this will become. If we allow Fenris to go unchecked, this will be a war, and on his terms first." Her voice was hard, but not cruel. She was just trying to impress the fact that action needed to be taken. "Personally, though I feel very strongly that it is this...Angelus Morti's...turn to pay, I think that passive action needs to be taken before aggressive action. We dont need unnecessary battles. But frankly, something needs to be done, regardless."
Turning her eyes towards Faerlain who had arrived, she nodded, appricative of her words. It seemed someone was willing to inspire the others into action. All the help they could get would be good, for they would need it. They would need it if this school was to survive in the end. "I agree Miss, its time to act. Sooner, rather than later."

Sen had come to peace with herself she had no more words for auguring but instead listened to what every one had to say something she was taught as a child but when another girl came in and poke up and suggested attacking sooner then later she felt unease she had done that several times at the school all with bad consequences the Roan said that they should ask the students of what they know it felt like a bas idea as well but if everyone else agreed she would do all she could to make that work.
"What if attacking sooner then later with out a proper plan that could lead to a misunderstanding with another creature and what if people we ask feed us misleading information?"Sen had to at least give her views otherwise every one would be in a great threat. "I know there might be risks of other attacks but we should take the time to plan other then attack blindly."She said quietly so her voice seemed calm but inside there where many different opinions that she didn't want to share at the time nor place.
"Angelus Morti?,has anyone every seen them?"She asked again she wanted to know this above all else what did Angelus Morti look like. "Or has he just been sending threats and his minions after the school and students?"She said speaking a little louder so she could be heard by everyone in on the conversation.

Ashlle frowned. Everyone was calling for action, but no one was volunteering to do anything. This seemed like a very inefficient way to respond to Fenris Fenir's (and his friends) threats.
"If you all don't mind, I'll gladly go and make sure that the Heads are aware of the situation as well as the Teachers. I also volunteer to write to the Ministry for help. If anyone wishes to join me in my efforts they may." Ashlle thought for a moment then continued. "Aylen if you'd rather assign me some other task I'll understand, but please tell me quickly as I am eager to start."

Post by Sylph on Dec 3, 2005 21:16:53 GMT
A single dark eyebrow arched above Sylph's sunglasses in equal amounts of humor and horror as the hufflepuff boy spoke in response to her questions. His 'outburst' to her was rather comical, especially as Sylph had not meant anything by her turn of phrase; she had the habit of calling both her youngers and adults - even her own parent's - 'kids'. It was just her way to refer to others on familiar and rather - to her, at least - ironic terms. It made things easier, particularly in tense circumstances, as this one no doubt was. She debated informing Forgoil of this, smiling to herself in her characteristic wry manner, but thought that she'd leave him hanging instead. He had a slight arrogance, albeit rather harmless, though at least he was eloquent in his words, but this would make it more entertaining when she continued to address him as she wished. Still, his words were filled with the information she craved, and yet they shocked her to the core.
Dark magic is one thing, she thought grimly, her perfect brow remaining highly raised as others spoke. But demons? And lycans? Sylph's courage would never be in dispute, but she knew when she was put to it. Still, that old O'Dell fire had been kindled, and would not be quenched until victory was at hand. And she was glad for the others' words. Action was what was needed, but if teachers had been taken, then it was clear that they needed help. Forgoil was right, they were all just children here.
"I apologise that I am late to arrive at the scene," she told Forgoil, her permanently wry tones lilting slightly with the hint of a non-specific celtic accent, but her jaw was set hard. "But this angel of death is not the only cause of terror in this world. All I know is that knowledge of one's enemy is power worth more than gold, hence the reason I query such things." Swallowing discreetly Sylph glossed over her words and moved on before she could be questioned.
"We need to organise. Quickly. I don't know much about this Fenris Fenrir you mentioned," she continued, glancing over her shades at the girl called Roan reassuringly, for she was obviously shaken by her memories of the lycan. "But I may be able to find out - though from what you say it may not be necessary to know more than that he is clearly very mad and very dangerous. As for fighting demons..." She trailed off. "Well, let's just say I know someone to ask about that," she finished with a humorless quirk of her lips.
After a pause during which she scratched her forehead with a single forefinger in a display of complete relaxation in the face of desperate anxiety, she spoke once more, after shooting a grin at Sen, the younger Gryffindor girl who had spoken soft but wise words.
"So..." she drawled, her tones sounding almost bored now, though it would be far from the truth. "Anyone know why this Angelus Morti is attacking the school? And, by the by, which professors have been taken? I'm going to hazard a guess that one of them might just be the divinations teacher. Now that might be to take away our main hope of seeing his plans, or it might be that he has a personal... grudge, shall we say?
"If we are to rid the school of this being and all his minions, we must know more about him. If we have tasks, some should be sent to gather this knowledge, others must prepare defences and warn as many people as possible, or rather," she added, with a wry smile in the direction of Ashlle, "as many as can be trusted." For a moment a wide and mischievous grin crossed Sylph's features, and from behind her blacked out sunglasses her a green glint could just be made out as she glanced as Forgoil.
"Sound good, kids?" she asked.

"Perfect..."She didn't mind being called a kid or anything you could through at her it was a weak defense for someone to call you a name anyways unless it was true but in this case it was.
"But it seems i am late once again."She said getting to her feet and stepping over the bench. "I'm not hard to find if you have a task for me so until then."she said nodding and turning around to face the exit. "See you all soon..."she said without a glance back at any of them and made her way to the door people still listening in to the conversation of the other students. Sen reached the door and took the brass handle and pulled back and walked out shutting the door behind her.

There went Sylph with the usage of kids again; perhaps she was trying to irk him now that he had told her how he disliked her usage of that one word; or perhaps she was just teasing him in a playful gesture. Whatever the case was; Forgoil was determined not to let out his quiet distaste of the word and allowed a wry smile to grace his face. Yet everything that Sylph spoke was true; they needed to organize and they needed to do so fast. The only problem was how exactly would they organize themselves? It had been mentioned that they would divide up into attackers, defenders, strategists and others; but when dividing into groups there had to be more coordination then that.
"Well said Sylph; you couldn't have come across any better", replied Forgoil as he finished his apple and with a flick of his wrist; the apple went flying through the air, but missed the trash can. Grumbling quietly about his wretched aim, Forgoil walked over to where his apple had landed but said as he was walking, "Yet there is one thing that troubles me. Everyone speaks of organization but you never specify how. You mention groups, yes, but you lack the wide scale coordination that is required for such a task. Yet if we have four groups; we have four houses to match them."
"So here is my thought on the matter. Judging the houses by their traits and skills; we determined what house should be in charge of what. So let us say that Gryffindor, being the house of the brave and true, would be those in charge of spearheading the attacks. Hufflepuff, house of the loyal and stalwart, would be in charge of the Castle Defense. Ravenclaw, house of the wise and learned, would be in control of the strategists. And lastly; Slytherin, house of the cunning and ambiteous, would be the administers of Hawkins' orders and perhaps be his assistants."
"Now of course if there was anyone that was part of a house that felt that their talents would better benefit another house, such as yourself Miss Rainer; then we could arrange it so that it would happen. Mind you; this is just a thought and not a concrete one at that. But even if we don't follow this thought; we still need leaders in charge of the various groups. I think that everyone acknowledges Aylen as the leader, and I would think that Sylph would be his second in command; judging by that take control manner of her's. But we as a body need to decide who leds what. The sooner we organize; the sooner we can all leave this room."
Finally reaching his apple core, Forgoil picked it up and placed it into the trash can; but as he did so, he remembered one of Sylph's second questions. "Oh; and the professors that have been taken are Professor Windwaltz and Professor Stevens, the new divinations teacher. None of us know how Windwaltz disappeared, but it is known that Fenris Fenrir abducted Professor Stevens during her first ever class."

"I agree with Mr. (you had to pick a name I can spell, didn't you?) Halifirien, and I have no qualms with working with the Ravenclaw students." said Ashlle thoughtfully. Privately she was wondering to herself about who could be trusted. No that it really mattered if they were holding their meeting in such a public place.
Still so what if their enemies knew they were coming? Perhaps their amassing might throw some worry into the hearts of their oppressors. It couldn't hurt to try at any rate. Ashlee waited for Aylen's next word on Mr. Halifirien's suggestions, wonder what would happen next.

Looking doubtfully at the napkin, Aylen let it alone on the table. It was starting to lose its shape as it melted, leaving wet spots on the wooden table. To tell the truth, his headache wasn’t all that bad. His head only hurt when other people began yelling and arguing. It seemed that tempers were cooling as the napkin melted, and the redhead was grateful. As it had been mentioned several times before, they needed to be united and work together for them to even stand a chance to survive.
Crossing his arms, he listened quietly as everyone contributed their own thoughts. It was important to hear every voice, every opinion, to produce a solution every one of them would be willing to be a part of. However, Aylen strained to keep his thoughts on the conversation. No matter how hard he tried, he couldn’t keep his mind off the giant wolf that had—a throbbing at his torso cut off his thoughts, just in time for him to hear Forgoil’s sudden outburst.
Aylen decided not to add his two cents just yet. The Gryffindor was still chewing over some things that were brought up earlier, with the heads and the Ministry being the predominant things on his mind. They had power, and yet, they had not done anything. There must be something bigger that the rest of them didn’t know about. The redhead sighed, letting out the air in one loud hiss. They hadn’t been able to do anything during the Danawi crisis either. At least one thing was clear, though it didn’t bring the redhead any comfort. They were on their own.
His thoughts were interrupted yet again by the slamming of the doors that led out to the main corridor. A quick scan of his surroundings revealed that Sen had been the one that had left. Strange. The discussion was far from over, as far as Aylen could tell. Deciding it was time he became reinvolved in the conversation, he spoke. “It is the easiest way to divide the tasks by houses, don’t you all think?” he asked, his voice echoing through the hall. Aylen wanted everyone to know what was going on. Secrets within a group would destroy it. “We can set Forgoil’s suggestions as a ‘default’ of sorts, but if you feel your skills would be of better use elsewhere, you should be able to feel free to ask to be reassigned.”

Anna heard one of the two bickering females apologize to Aylen. Good, now we can get started? she hoped. Her ears perked as she heard a foreign language being spoken by the Temp. Nurse. Thanks for letting everyone else in on the secret. I can't speak another language! she thought irritated. Soon, another female joined their group. She stood out a bit more from her violet colored hair, but that didn't bother Anna the least bit. That female that just joined also said she was with them. She heard Roan say something about speaking up to the Temp. Nurse, and Anna compltely agreed. Please just stop fighting. she hoped and looked around at the people who now stood before her.
But, Anna's hope was crushed when the two started up again. Finally, when Anna feared the two would never stop, Aylen spoke up, but directed towards herself. Thanks a lot. Glad to have you on my side. She just nodded her head in acknowledgement and gave a quick friendly smile. He welcomed the couple people that had joined as well, and then turned to the two girls. She listened closely as he spoke as a true leader and got them to stop bickering. The girls seemed to have come to a silent agreement at last, and Anna was relieved because she didn't think she could have stood it any longer. Some of the purple-haired girl's words caught Anna's attention. And, what do we know about htis 'Angel of Death'? What has he done? Who are his allies? Flashing images of her night with his allies ran through her head.
She listened to Forgoil explain the two main allies of Angelus Morti, although he didn't know the names. Fenris Fenrir. Xailyn Rose. she thought, and waited for a moment to speak until she said those names. Then, she heard a new voice enter, a new voice she hadn't heard before. She looked to see who's mouth it had come out of, and it was none other than the Hufflepuff prefect, Faerlain. Although Anna didn't know this female personally, she had heard much about her. Anna heard the lycan's name being stated. Fenris Fenrir. She smiled lightly, but not enough for people to see. Anna heard Sen speaking about who Angelus Morti really was. "Whoever it is sends out minons to do it for 'em. Cowardly in my opinion, yet evil." She stated, her opinion was clear at the end. "And, as a late note.. the demoness' name might come in handy, for I do know it. Mhmm. I was one of her victims, that Xailyn Rose..." she trailed off thinking back to that night.
Anna listened closely to Sylph as she explained what they may be able to do. Sounds good to me... Anna thought and nodded her head slightly. All Anna could do for now was listen to Forgoil speak, and she agreed with every word he had said recently. Aylen spoke once again, and he was basically finalizing everything. She nodded her head and the thoughts in her head were all too jumbled up to say anything just yet.

...judging by that take control manner of her's... Sylph snorted in humor at Forgoil's words, punctuating his sentence with apt timing, but she knew there was truth in them. It didn't hurt her feelings exactly, but did make her ponder her approach momentarily. Was she being too bossy? After all, there were prefects here, and Aylen - as Forgoil stated - was obviously elected leader, why would Sylph know any better than them? She had only just arrived back at the castle, with next to no knowledge of what had gone on in her absence, but it was she who had taken charge. Not that anyone seemed to mind, not even Forgoil. And this was probably for the best, Sylph mused. Someone had to, else nothing would be done.
But Forgoil's last words stopped Sylph in her tracks. Professor Windwaltz? she gaped mentally, a wave of horror and shock washing over her, her indomitable cool ruined in a split second. Her tutor in the art of elemental magic, the man who had led her to battle that summer, her mentor, her friend, even. Taken? But how? And more importantly, why?
In the midst of her shock, Sylph knew that Talon would not have been taken easily. He was a talented wizard, and good in defence to say the very least. Whoever - or whatever - had removed him so quickly and quietly would have needed more than just magic; they would need cunning, a trick, or something to hold over him to keep him placid. Or, Sylph added finally. Talon had been lured out by someone known to him, someone who held some power of friendship over him.
She paused in her thoughts a moment, realising suddenly what Forgoil had said. A new divinations teacher, taken in her very first lesson, according to the hufflepuff boy.
"What happened to Professor Azrael?" she asked out-loud, her previously chipper voice reduced to a far-off and husky sounding tone, though her eyes remained sharp and inquisitive. Azrael had been the man who had led the resistance against Danawi that summer, and Sylph had followed him personally into the Forbidden forest to fight. Was that how he was rewarded? By being replaced? A suspicion began to form in Sylph's quick mind, but she held her tongue. It was, well, preposterous.
She shook her head to rid her mind of her thoughts, and, removing her glasses and looking at each person present in turn, she voiced her acquiesce to Forgoil's suggestion.
"I'm good with following that idea," she said, her voice steady once more, but there was no trace of humor now. "Each person here should inform as many people as possible of the situation; we need more people if we are to fight effectively. Just be sure that everyone you tell can be trusted. The last thing we need is a spy." With that she leant her tall slender frame against the edge of a table, seemingly done with talking. In truth, a plan was formulating in her mind, but she would not voice it to any but Aylen, and even then, not yet. She had to be sure before she would do that, and there was only one way to be sure.

An eyebrow raised as Aednat realised by his sudden outburst that the Scottish boy had been insulted by the use of the word 'kids' as a collective term for all of them. She glanced, surprised, at the violet-haired girl's face to see her reaction to the outburst. Personally, the use of the word ahd barely registered with her, and she merely thought of it as a type of term of endearment, for that was how it was used back home. Even she herself used it at times. Maybe it wasn't meant as such, but that was how Aednat generally interpreted such words.
She reached behind her and grabbed another slice of buttered toast. Breakfast was one thing Aednat could never do without, unless she wanted to feel faint and sick. She chewed on her toast thoughtfully, turing her attention to the newest arrival; another girl, barefoot. She smiled as she spotted the girl's bare feet, feeling already that this was one girl she would probably get along with very well. Listening to the girl speak, Aednat knew that she was right. She hadn't added new ideas on how to get into action, but she had tied things together so that clearly that was the next step, there couldn't be much more room for arguing back and forth.
Crinkling her nose as the girl chose a banana to eat, Aednat listened to Roan speak again. She really couldn't stand bananas...not that it mattered. They were all right, it was time for action. She reflected on what Forgoil had told them, the new information buzzing around in her head as she went over it all. Demons, Lycans...of course they were right, every last one of them. It was time for action. And finally, Forgoil offered a suggestion as to how they could get started.
His suggestion seemed a good one to her, especially as he conceded that movement within the houses would be perfectly fine. She herself would have hated to be told she could help, only to be put in a position of no action, and she had no desire whatsoever to, like Ashlle for example, help with strategy instead. However, she accepted that people could possibly wish to work with a different house on this, like Ashlle, and as long as that was fine she didn't see a problem with the plan. So thinking, she voiced her thoughts adding her support as Sylph and Aylen had already done.
"I think that's a great idea," she said, nodding at the boy, "especially as you allow for those who may wish to work with a different house." She glanced at Aylen too. "If people are made to work in an area that does not appeal to them, the only result is bitterness, and a poorer standard of work and dedication. And we need to be strong together, we can't let our side be weaked by bitterness from within. I think we've all seen how arguing among ourselves gets us nowhere." She paused, thinking of what she had just said and wondering had she left anything out.
"Oh," she added, "I do want to work with Gryffindor though, I couldn't bear to have others out there while I was here...I know that everyone is equally important in this type of thing, that people organising things are equally as vital as the ones carrying out the plans, I'm not saying they're not, please don't get me wrong...I just mean that type of thing doesn't suit my personality. Anyway, yes, good idea." she finished, nodding again and shifting her weight from one foot to another. Just the thought of being stuck inside, unable to help with active work...it made her restless.
Remembering her toast, she took another bite, wondering about what Sylph had said. Who on earth was Professor Azrael?

(OOC: Oh You! Fine fine, I thought no one cared about the movement any more but since you like us so much . . . ) BIC: Ashlle was only half listening as everyone kept talking and no one acted. She'd already begun her letter to the Ministry. General Delivery Ministry of Magic, London
Dear Sirs and Madams,
It grieves me to inform you that our proud institution, Magic Horizons School of Witchcraft and Wizardry is under attack by outside forces. These forces are for the most part unknown, but I myself have been attacked by one of their minions a monstrous Lycan by the name of Fenris Fenrir.
Please, if you could spare any of your Aurors to defend us it would be greatly appreciated. I realize you are most busy with paperwork, but our school is most beloved and we fervently wish that it wouldn't be closed or taken over.
Also we request that you call for the BFC's (Black Forest Church) aid in combating our oppressors. They are a certified 'Monster Hunter' group and I'm sure they will be happy to help in any way. We have heard that you've called on them before and that they have been helpful in the past.
Sincerely,
Ashlle G. Rainier, Last of the Rainier Clan and Gryffindor StudentAshlle looked around and politely interrupted. "Does anyone want to hear my letter to the Ministry?"

"Miss Rainer; I am more than certain that your letter is of satisfactory content and all I can hope is that it is not intercepted by outside forces", said Forgoil with a lean grin, "for that last thing that we want the enemy to know is that we know that they are up to something of a grander scale than we originally thought. We are not yet ready and if we fragement now; there shall be no recovery for us or for the school should we fail. But we cannot do this alone."
"We need to enlist the help of all those that have not already taken up arms against the school. Students, teachers, the Heads, and even other creatures if we are fortunate. Any help is better than no help. Even if I had to sign a pact with El Diablo himself in order to preserve what I hold dear to me; I would do so. I shall see that my house, that of loyal and true Hufflepuff, does not falter in these dark and troubled times. But never shall I step foot out of this Castle in arms; though none shall pass underarms while I am able to defend this stoney convent that is our home."
"But", said Forgoil; this time with a genuine smile on his face as he briskly walked to the doors of the Great Hall, "I have some work to accomplish. All from classwork to caring for my badger to planning the defense should we need it. In other words, my plate is rather full at the moment so it is at this time that I ask your permission to part from this assembly. I wish all of you the best of luck and like I said before; watch out for the fruit. I think that it still not ripe enough for consumption, but at least you all have a warning; I in turn get a stomach ache."
With a hop-skip, the grey-haired boy jumped onto the last of the stairs leading up to the doors and there he stood; awaiting the answer from the others; if he was allowed to leave or if he should wait a little longer.
