"Teaching. It's a big responsibility. You'll have to fill in the following generation to all the knowledge in one particular subject.Which one would you choose to teach?"

Madden had thought long about this, and she still hadn't made up her mind. "Well, I guess it all depends on where I teach. If it's a magicians school, I would want either charms or transfiguration. If it's a muggle school, I want to teach second grade. I'm actually thinking that I will do both. First a muggle school, then a magicians school. That way, I can get both in."

"A Muggle school.Sounds interesting enough.I would once like to visit one of those, just to see how the non-magical kids are learning and most of all what are they learning.Of course I remmeber Maths and such since I also started off from a Muggle school, but what do they learn in the upper grades? And in highschools?"Larissa paused."My,it seems I also inherited my great grandfather's interests in Muggle things. It runs in the family, you know." Larissa took a sip of her pumpkin juice.

"I think you learn the same things all over again. Maybe, with muggles, they have to be told enough times for it to be written on the inside of their minds. That's why it's so easy to see in there." Madden laughed. "But I went to muggle schools until the day before I started at Durmstrang. It wasn't too bad, but it was really slow. I got bored with it. I lived with a muggle family that adopted me. They think I got a scholarship here, that it's a full-time school. I didn't want to go back there once I left..." She trailed off, knowing that she was saying too much. She hadn't let anyone know....

Larissa looked at Madden simpathetically. She knew Madden didn't want to talk about her 'parents' so she dropped the subject and returned to Muggles in general. "I wouldn't want to go back either, tho personally I don't have problems with Muggles. In Bristol, where my family's mansion is,Muggles are bustling all around. They are really friendly. When we moved there some even came by to say hello. It was nice of them."

Larissa didn't seem to notice Madden's slip, and if she did, she was avoiding it. Glad for the direction that had been taken, Madden replied, "Well, I really don't see much of a difference in muggles and the magical community. I mean, we're all people. Just, some of us are born a little differently than others. It's like a race, or a gender. It doesn't make people any different." She said this in a way that didn't indicate that she was correcting Larissa, but simply making a statement.

"Yeah,I get what you mean.I think Muggles are very clever in the way they larnt to replace magic in their life.I always admired electricity or the Interenet. They are marvellous things don't you think?"

Madden was relieved Larissa had taken this the right way. Some people got offended easily. "Oh, most definatley. I like the cars. They go so fast. I mean, it's completely different from a broom. Well, I grew up with it, but now I'm appreciating how cool it all is more than before I knew about the magical community."

"Yeah,I get what you mean. You must've travelled by subway once or twice,it's cool isn't?That it goes underground and such."

"Actually, I never have been on a subway. I've always wondered what it was like, though. I mean, it can't be much different from a bus can it?" she asked Larissa, as it seems she had been on a subway before and could give her a comparison.

"Oh,it's much different from a bus. It's a very fast train that goes underground in bigger cities.London has various subway lines for example. You have to go into underground tunnels and travel there."

Madden frowned. "Well, I know what they are, of course, and what they do. I just figured it would be like a bus except underground on tracks. I can't imagine there's much difference between a bus and a train or a subway."

Madden shook her head. "I don't think I ever will, either. I don't know, I guess it's something about being up that high with nothing but a lot of metal and fuel holding you up. I wouldn't feel safe. Probably start hyperventelating or something." She laughed a little, but was actually wondering why she was sharing all this. It was probably the new setting feel, the illusion that no one could hurt her whilst she was here. She needed to get a grip on that soon, or end up the same or worse. But for now, she could befriend larissa. It's not like she'd done anything.

Larissa laughed with Madden too. She was starting to like this girl next to her. "Well,to tell the truth, I never tried flying either but I certainly would like to one day.I must have my father's obsession towards all things Muggle in my veins." she said smiling.
