Whirling about in his seat as he gently let go of Faerlain, Forgoil was surprised to see Lottie standing before him. Lottie had been giggling as she entered, so clearly she must have heard and seen what had happened. Hearing that ridiculous song only confirmed Forgoil's thought.
He looked at Lottie, his face starting to blush and his tears momentarily forgotten. "Well, Lottie to answer the question on kissing; yes. And why are you down in the Great Hall at this hour, hmm?" Forgoil quirked an eyebrow with his question and waited for Lottie's answer.

Lottie opened and closed her mouth a few times, before crossing her arms in front of her. She knew where she had been, but wasn't about to reveal it to anyone else. The brown-haired girl knew she had placed herself in danger, and had been until she entered the Great Hall, but there was no point in explaining.
"I asked you first," she answered, perhaps a little childishly, before coming onto his first answer. "You were kissing? Does that mean you're... you've gone red! It's true! Wait until Wyl hears about this!" she smiled, not making any move to leave just yet, but knowing the two would probably kick her out before long.

His lips on her forehead was almost like magic, perhaps the long-awaited realization that there really was something so good and true as being friends forever. But they she felt him tense up and she prepared herself for the tears- he could be so sensitive sometimes, but she liked that about him. A guy who couldn't cry was just lacking something.
But.... her heart just started pounding like crazy when he said that he loved her. Someone... loved her? Loved her as more than a friend, as someone who they might want to be with, forever? The kind of reach for the stars, over the fence, rare love?
"I... love you too." She whispered back with a smile, opening her eyes just in time to see Lottie burst in. They then instantly widened- how had the girl known that they were in there?
"Lottie..." She began, a silly grin on her face. "I've seen you with Wyl. Ohh, L O T T I E and W Y L, sittin' in a tree, K I S S I N G..." Sticking out her tounge at the brunette, she turned back to Forgoil and gave him another quick peck on the cheek.
"Hence, Forgoil and I can do as we please. Also, I would like to hear why you're up at this hour." She replied, dipping her finger in her bowl of ice cream and then licking it. Mmm, ice cream....

"But I asked you first!" Lottie protested, trying desperately to try and steer the conversation away from what she was doing up and about. But the smell of icecream was wafting around the room, there was no way she would be able to hold back from nipping over to the house elves for much longer...
"Besides, I know you've seen me with Wyl! Weren't you at our Shakespeare performance?" she questioned, her cheeks tinging a little bit pink and a small smile appearing on her face before she looked back up again.

Apparently, Lottie and Faerlain both knew something that Forgoil didn't, so he was unable to fully understand what was happening. Besides the fact that Lottie and Wyl seemed to be closer than friends as well. Those two did make a good pair; always laughing, being playful, and so many other aspects were covered that it seemed to Forgoil that Wyl and Lottie complimented each other. Like Faerlain and himself.
Forgoil looked between Faerlain and Lottie as they both argued about who should answer the question about being in the Great Hall at this hour first. He decided to stop this playful, but petty argument and said, "Alright Lottie; I'll tell you why Faerlain and myself are here at this hour, but on one condition. You must tell us why you came down here, and tell us the truth, for I have no intention of lying to you. Do we have an accord?"

It seemed like Lottie had no other way out apart from explaining, or leaving and not finding out why her two friends were there. However looking at the bowls behind them, it looked like they were having a midnight snack more than anything else. After all, who was she to go interrogating?
Shuffling her feet slightly, brown eyes met Forgoil's quickly and she shook her head. "I'd better head back," she decided eventually, putting her cheerful tone back on. Leaving and not knowing was better than explaining. "See you in the morning, guys," Lottie smiled, before turning and making for the door again.

Quickly getting up off of his seat, Forgoil rushed in front of the doors and prevented Lottie from leaving. Smiling at her, Forgoil said, "Oh no, Lottie; leaving now is simply unacceptable. If you don't want to tell us why you came down here; fine. But we aren't about to let you leave just yet."
Forgoil walked toward Lottie and steered her to the table. "There is no way that Faerlain and I could possible eat all of this ice cream. I would be offended and hurt if you choose to leave us now.", said Forgoil as he started to become more dramatic. He hoped that his friend wouldn't leave them as suddenly as she appeared.

Now was the bribery. Forgoil knew that ice cream was one thing Lottie would not be able to refuse even if she tried really really really hard. "Okay, I'll stay!" she agreed, hopping into a seated position on the bench opposite where Faye was sitting. "Only because the house elves would be annoyed if you took the ice cream back, and then we'd have no breakfast tomorrow morning," Lottie nodded matter of factly. "And that would be bad, wouldn't it?"

Faye raised one eyebrow at the thought of having ice cream for breakfast. Well... it certainly did sound like a rather delightful treat, but at that hour of the day she personally preffered something like pancakes. With lots of apple topping and some powedered sugar.
"I don't think that we'd be stealing tommorow morning's breakfast, but more like tommorow night's dessert." She replied, summoning up a new bowl and spoon. The vanilla ice cream was starting to look a little melty, but she doubted Lottie would mind. After plopping a fairly nice sized portion into the bowl, she served it to the brunette and then sat down next to her.
"So.... continuing on what Forgoil was saying..." Faye began, dumming her idle fingers on the table. "We'll tell you why we're down here if you tell us why you are."

Lottie began to fiddle with the spoon which was dipped into the creamy coloured ice cream, suddenly not wanting any at all. Her stomach turned as Faerlain repeated the compromise. Why oh why didn't she just get up and run?
Bringing the spoon to her mouth and eating the smallest bit of ice cream, a relaxing feeling swept over the brunette. They were her friends, weren't they? They wouldn't just shout and scream at her for going out... it was for a good reason, after all. She had had a message to pass on... not that she had found who the message for, and she was too chicken to go and find her.
"I couldn't sleep," she answered, knowing her answer was at least partly true. She hadn't been able to sleep much at all in recent times, and that night had been no exception. However she didn't want to wake anyone up, and had set out on her mission instead. "What about you guys?"

Wyl burst into the Great Hall, clad in pyjamas and moccasins, skidding everywhere due to the fact his slippers had no grip on them.
He slid over to the group and bare hugged Faye, nodded at Forgoil then nearly fell over and clutched to Lottie to prevent himself from doing so. His eyes were framed by his newest pair of glasses that hadn't broken yet and he wrapped his arms around Lottie tightly.
"What's happening?" He asked, trying to act casually, as though he hadn't entered the Hall as though he was on rollarskates.

Forgoil was about to tell Lottie why Faerlain and himself had come here, but Wyl burst through the doors; skidding about in his moccasins. Smiling in amusement, Forgoil returned Wyl's greeting by nodding as well. "Not much, Wyl", answered Forgoil, "We were having a snack; you are more than welcome to join us."
Turning back to Lottie, Forgoil began to tell her the story. "I came down from the boys' dormitory and sat in the common room by the fireplace for awhile; thinking about the up and coming war. Then Faerlain came down and we began to talk about how we felt on the war, our concerns and...", Forgoil blushed with the next part of his reply, "Eventually, we came down here to relax. If Faerlain wants to add anything else; she's more than welcome."
Forgoil had told Lottie the truth; just not to its fullest. He generalized most of the events that had taken place because he wanted to keep those memories to himself. He felt that those moments were the best in his life; perhaps he would share them with Lottie at a later time.

The prefect could hear Wyl coming before she actually saw him- the sound of him slipping or stumbling his way into a room had ingrained itself into her memory. After returning his bear hug happily, she sat down next to Forgoil and pondered Lottie's reason. Couldn't sleep? Hm. It didn't seem to her like a girl of Lottie's age could have anything to worry over; but then again she knew that the brunette didn't tell her everything. She decided not to press it.
"Oh, nothing much." She said to Wyl, lifting another spoonful of vanilla ice cream to her mouth. "We were just eating some ice cream and talking. If you want some, just help yourself."
She eyed Forgoil cautiously as he told their story, wondering exactly how much of it he was going to tell. It wasn't that she minded Lottie knowing how felt about him, but she was still a bit unsure. What if things crumbled before they even had a chance to begin? What if one of them died in Danawi's attack? The what if's just raced through her mind as she leaned back in her chair a little.
"No, I've got nothing to add." She replied quietly, glancing down at her fluffy purple slippers for a second. "Except that I summoned up the pie and ice cream and we just decided to have a little snack. Though it's no trouble that you two decided to join us."

Lottie almost giggled as the two of them finished. They had nothing else to add? According to Wyl it was just a quiet (or as quiet as the Hufflepuffs could be) midnight snack of pie and ice cream. Oh far from. The events the brunette girl had just witnessed was far from just pie and ice cream, as good as the ice cream was.
"I've got something else to add!" Lottie grinned chocolate coloured eyes looking between her two friends.

At first, Forgoil was worried about what Lottie was going to say and felt his face turned a deeper shade of red, but he realized that it didn't matter whether Lottie told Wyl or not. His feelings for Faerlain would remain unchanged and he just wanted to be with her whenever he could. Forgoil didn't care at this point whether Wyl knew; the whole school knew, or all of England. He loved Faerlain, and nothing would sway his mind against that. He gazed fondly into Faerlain's eyes and nodded in Lottie direction; his signal to tell her that he didn't mind.
occ: Ah! The shortness! >.<
